Teenager Pranks Aunt by Throwing Paint at her $20K Coat, Aunt Takes Niece to Court

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would defend someone with a $20K coat. But I guess when teenagers try to pull pranks without understanding that actions have consequences, anything is fair game.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit, and let's just say that I went on a full emotional journey from envy to shock. At first, I thought I would have no sympathy for someone who married into a very wealthy family and was casually gifted a $20K coat for Christmas like it was no big deal. However, leave it to the Gen-Z prankers of TikTok to make me actually feel sorry for this woman. Keep scrolling below for the full account of how the Redditor was pranked and how she enacted revenge of her own by suing the heck out of her niece. For more stories like this, check out this one about entitled pizza customers who got their own dose of petty revenge.

Update: 'Parents have disinvited me': Immature husband throws a fit when in-laws don't send him his own invitation to Christmas, gets couple disinvited

The proverbial phrase "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth" feels incredibly relevant when discussing invitations to Christmas celebrations — what with the whole gift-giving thing and all. Still, one might consider repurposing this into something that directly fits the occasion. I'm thinking something along the lines of "Don't interpret an invitation on the recipient line." — or something of that nature.

Like, your name's already on the invitation dude. It's not normal to send couples multiple invitations to things, and, quite frankly, I've never heard of families ever sending out formal Christmas invitations at all. What family actually does that?

I fully opened up this thread expecting to see that his wife's family had sent her an invitation but omitted his name entirely. The fact that his name was on the invitation pretty much rests this case before it's even opened; dude just wants there to be a problem. What's your take?

‘Don’t Be Petty’ : Man Tells Angry Wife After He Got Impulsive Tattoo of Best Friends Zodiac With Lyrics to a Love Song

Talk about awkward. From the outside, relationships can look pretty picture perfect. Nobody is airing their dirty laundry on social media (Yes fine, we all know that couple, but let's talk about the rule, not the exception). Reddit is a bit of a different story because you can pretty much post things anonymously. Nobody is gonna recognize that avatar you designed with blue wavy hair, sparkly wind goggles, and a Dracula cape, as the 'real you'. Basically, you can be whoever you wanna be.

That's probably a good thing, because when you do spill some of your juicy secrets online… people can get pretty invested. That's what Reddit is for, people who like to pass the time handing out their opinions on the internet. As it just so happens, I'm one of those people. Earlier today, I was scouring the subreddit 'AITA', and oh boy did I find something interesting… After you read it, you'll probably join the general consensus that this story is a little sketchy…

See, if my imaginary husband (Still a single pringle) was grieving a friend moving away to the point where he gets a tattoo of the dude's zodiac sign, along with lyrics to the love song 'Maybe when I'm older'… I might be a tad bit suspicious, to say the least. We (and by 'we' I mean the commenters and myself) think that OP (Original Poster) was not expecting the backlash he received, as he actually removed the post. But don't worry, I got the screenshots to prove it happened. Scroll down and have a look for yourself.

20+ Best Relatable Coworker Memes Of The Week

Yet another week has nearly gone by, and feelings of lethargy, annoyance, and frustration have officially taken over. In fact, we're just downright mad at this point. Our coworkers are not, as Gen Z so famously says, 'Giving'. In other words, it's not a vibe. Okay fine, that's still Gen Z. IN OTHER WORDS: 'The assignment was not completed'. And sometimes, though we may not like to admit it, we're those coworkers. Maybe we just don't CARE if Susan can find the condiments section, or perhaps we just don't give a flying balloon about whether or not George needs that report. Pay us more and maybe we'll care, how about that?

You may possibly be one of those remote workers who only have to interact with their coworkers via Zoom or email — in that case, lucky you. Scroll down to see the funniest memes of the week that will have you in stitches. If you wanna see last week's memes, feel free to click here.

15+ Malfunctions: Dating App Conversations and Profiles That Failed 10/10

I feel I can speak for the masses when I say that dating apps… suck. The whole ordeal is horrendously difficult. So many different lanes to maneuver, and personally, I'm kinda sick of it. Why bother? People are stupid. Technology is stupid. Everything is stupid. Do I sound disgruntled? When you read the following conversations below, you'll understand. This is real-life people! This is the dating pool. THIS is what you get.

Don't even get me started on the ridiculous FOMO that dating apps have created. The illusion that someone more interesting is just around the corner — and if you swipe just one more time, you'll meet that 'much more interesting person.' Except, they don't exist. It's all in our imagination. We gotta stop with the 'grass is greener' mentality. There is not an endless supply of available people. There is an infinite supply of crazy people, though, so if you're looking for that…

Okay, okay — enough with the bitter rant. Because these funny dating app fails provide us with one really good thing — and that is relatable, funny content. So without further ado, scroll down and read about other people's struggles that anyone who has ever been on a dating app can relate to. 'Somebody emptied the used deep fryer oil into a plastic bucket': 40+ People who made the worst possible mistakes at their job

Everyone has their job and specialty, but no matter how skilled you are, you're always going to make mistakes. Thinking about it is humbling - every person you interact with has botched something at their job. But they haven't messed up quite as badly as these folks below!

Reddit user u/Whomadethebed asked the question, "What's the worst mistake you've seen someone make at their job?" and people filled the comments section with hair-raising tales of the biggest oopsies they know of. Some are pretty drastic, like one person who cost a company literally a billion dollars, while others are smaller but still terrible, like an employee who printed 500 copies of her gas bill on her workplace's printer! Here at Fail Blog, we don't make any mitsakes ever - but keep scrolling to read about 40+ folks who spilled the tea on their coworkers (and themselves) for failing pretty hard on the job.

Update: 'They threatened to take further legal action': Employee fired and asked to repay $1,100 to employer for unsubstantiated wage theft

There are petty employers — then there are employers who fire you for bogus claims of wage theft and demand repayment of said wages. The crazy part is the employer doesn't seem to have (or isn't willing to offer) any proof to back their claims. They're just like, "You're fired, and btw you owe us money," and expect the employee to comply.

After being accused of claiming hours that they had not worked, this employer demanded repayment of the supposed wages under the threat of a lawsuit. In reality, the employee had been skipping their lunch break and working through so they could leave half an hour at the end of the day. The employee, Reddit user u/disappoint-mint, then turned to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit in order to share their experience and seek advice from the avid readers of the sub.

They came away with a wealth of advice, including advice to go no-contact with the employer and to reach out to relevant government agencies.

The Reddit user returned and provided an update in an edit on their original post, sharing that they had received further contact from the company's HR department about a 'concern' that had been brought to their attention. It is unknown what this means, as the employee has maintained no contact.

"So now I'm thinking two things," the user writes. "1. My supervisor just decided to have the legal department take care of it because I ignored him, or 2. My supervisor was full of shit, and they're investigating him. I'm hoping for scenario #2 but expecting #1."

'Your interview was not satisfactory': Interviewer sends wildly insensitive rejection email after candidate had a death in the family

This guy definitely dodged a bullet. On the same day he learned about a death in the family, this candidate attempted to be professional and follow through with a scheduled job interview. After hearing nothing following the interview and reaching out again via email, the person with whom he met sent a nasty, heartless message knowing full well what the candidate had been through.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/emimagique. Not only was the email completely insensitive, but also it contained dumb spelling errors. Talk about unprofessional behavior. Unfortunately, this kind of treatment is not uncommon. I once was ghosted for an interview twice despite numerous emails from the recruiter detailing how "excited" they were to meet with me. We've all experienced some form of this, and it's upsetting, particularly in this day and age when employees want to feel more respected and supported by their employers. The silver lining here is that at least the Redditor was able to see this interviewer's true colors before potentially joining the company.

Top Trending Dating App Fails That Backfired This Week (December 6, 2022)

You can smell the desperation from here, folks. That's right. It's the Holiday season, which means that your average dating app conversations have gotten a bit more desperate than they normally are (and believe me, they already are). These messages were posted to Reddit's r/Tinder subreddit, and let's just say that this December, it seems that people are taking big swings and striking out. Crazy Nun Takes Her Child to a Horror Movie about Demonic Possession, Leaves Hilarious 1 Star Review

A nun and her kid walk into a horror movie? I don't remember this joke. Firstly, yes, this nun allegedly has a kid of her own, and yes, this nun took said kid to a horror movie. And not just any horror movie…a horror movie about demonic possession.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/F***YouKaren subreddit by u/Chelseas777, who found the 1-star review online. The review left Redditors in the comments section stunned, to say the least. To be honest, we all have so many questions. There's the question of this nun who has a child. Then there's the image of a nun with a slushy. I suppose nuns deserve slushies too! And then there's the question of why she thought this movie was appropriate. Regardless, we the people were able to enjoy reading this wild review. If that's the good that came out of this, that's enough for me.

‘I Know the Policy but I Want the Discount Anyway’ : Entitled Customer V.S Stubborn Employee Who Is Miserably Just Doing His Job

Why people insist on purposely doing the opposite of an establishment's policy will always be a mystery to me. It's like people wake up, and say to themselves 'Hmmm, today I seek to be deliberately rude to an employee, just because I don't agree with the way things are done at his workplace'. For example, if you know that you only get a discount by telephone, then why try and cheat the system? It would take exactly five seconds to make the call and get the discount.

But nooooo, you must enter the said establishment, patronize the poor employee who definitely doesn't give two hoots about the place but needs to pay his rent somehow, and then be purposely unhelpful. Who cares if the policy is dumb or illogical? We're all grown-ups here, deal with it. Below you will find an infuriating Reddit post, written by someone who has obviously not worked in customer service a day in his life. Someone who believes that we employees, make the rules. Well, think again… Because we certainly didn't wake up today and think to ourselves 'Hmmm, how can we inconvenience our customers today?'.

Bitter people be bitter.

Bridezilla and Groom Guilt Teenage Cousin into Gifting Them Her Taylor Swift Ticket, Entire Wedding Gets Ruined

The things people will do for Taylor Swift...if you happen to live under a rock, you might not know that Taylor Swift is going on tour in 2023 and the concert presale was a giant fiasco. What's even more insane is that the drama hasn't stopped there. It seems like entire families are being destroyed over a concert that hasn't even happened yet.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/vigilante_sh*t_13, an apt username for a true Swiftie. When the Redditor's cousin found out at his wedding that the original poster managed to get a ticket to the Eras Tour, he pulled her aside and tried to guilt her into giving her ticket to his new wife. When she said no, one would think the drama was over and done with. Nope! He proceeded to make an announcement in front of everyone that the Redditor graciously gave up her seat. Now, you might be asking yourself: did this grown man seriously just try to bully his teenage cousin into giving up a concert ticket? Yes. Yes, he did, and now the entire family is divided.

30+ People share different culture's names for that 'end piece of the bread', a surprising amount of cultures have the same idea

If you needed proof that all cultures have something in common: This is it. As it turns out, that end piece of crusty bread is regarded in a similar, if not identical, way in each culture. Forever an outcast, or as the Scottish put it: an outsider, that end piece of bread is regarded by all to be an inferior or unwanted portion, earning names like 'The Mother-in-Law,' the 'Butt' 'Boss,' 'Heel,' 'Nob'; all terms being derogatory, unwanted, and utterly dreadful, dirty things.

This is a topic that has been floating around the wider web. I've seen it pop up on Reddit, Twitter, and TikTok in the past few weeks. We posed the question to our Facebook community to see what answers they had on the topic.

This list is comprised of answers from a viral Twitter thread as well as answers from our own Facebook community. Keep reading for the answers; for more, check out these bizarre dates that Twitter users shared.

'He sent his brother instead. I was upset...' Wife drags BIL along on involuntary 2-hour ice-cream excursion, wonders if she's wrong

There are some things on the internet that remind you that people never really change — even when they reach adulthood. The sheer amount of immaturity and general inability to reach logical conclusions that one witnesses as they go about their day is a testament to this fact — as is the existence of 'Disney Adults.'

Cheap shots at adult fanatics of Walt's work aside — this AmItheA**hole thread is rife with poor decision-making and reads like a horror B movie script: with every issue being able to be resolved with the slightest amount of communication.

This type of plot structure might have worked in a time without cellphones (looking at you Sleepless in Seattle), but in this day and age — no matter how much you resent your partner — is it really that hard to pick up the phone and call them? Or even twiddle your thumbs around a bit to send them a text message?

Communication might not have been on the menu, but ice cream sure was; some suspicious Redditors seem to think that the BIL himself might have been on the menu as well. This AITA poster is now wondering whether or not she was in the wrong for dragging her BIL along on this ice cream adventure. She's definitely the a**hole here; her husband probably is as well. As far as we can tell, only the BIL is in the clear here unless Reddit's latest conspiracy about a secret affair can somehow be substantiated.

'I don't like the portrayal of lamps in this movie': 20+ Movie review fails that will have you throwing popcorn at the screen

This year was an exceptionally great year for movies. It also saw the growth of movie reviews online, with the popularity of Letterboxd becoming a meme. Letterboxd is an app for rating and reviewing movies, from one to five stars, which you can share with your friends and followers. These reviews are often wonderful and enlightening, giving you additional insight into a movie before you head to the theater. Plus, you end up learning about new movies from across the globe that you may not have even known existed. The people below wrote incredibly funny reviews that might not exactly tell you if you're going to enjoy the movie - but will still make you laugh your head off regardless.

Attention-Seeking Male Karen Removes Friends Who Didn't Wish Him a Happy Birthday From Facebook

Dude, you just want attention! This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/F***YouKaren subreddit by u/Shopping-Afraid, is further proof that male Karens are just as ridiculous and just as savage, if not more so.

The fact that this entitled guy was truly expecting personalized "Happy Birthday" messages on his Facebook says a lot about how current he is in 2022. News flash: we don't really use Facebook for birthday messages anymore. Facebook is for groups, stalking, and finding old, embarrassing photos. If you're actually measuring your true friendships by how many birthday messages you receive on a public forum, that in and of itself is probably the reason why you're coming up short with each passing year. And let's be real: there's no way this guy remembers to wish more than maybe three individuals a happy birthday when their days come around. One person in the comments section said it best: this guy is suffering from "main character syndrome."

'You can't do that, I pay your tax': Confused Kevin insists on buying advance tickets for movie theater that's about to close, won't take no for an answer

Reddit user Dragon_Crystal had an amazing story to tell about this one confused dude who didn't quite understand why he couldn't buy tickets to a movie he really wanted to see. In this funny tale, this befuddled employee worked at a chain theater that was going to be closing in just a few months.

One day, in comes a Kevin, and he has a strange request - tickets for a movie that's playing a few months in the future. Ordinarily, that's no problem, because theaters sell advanced tickets all the time. When OP explained to him that this specific theater was actually about to be demolished, this Kevin just could not get it through his head! The OP found the situation pretty amusing, but ended up escalating the situation to their boss, River, to clear things up. Check out the whole conversation below, plus check out what the commenters said (because they kind of roasted this clueless Kev).

'Never mess with my money': Technicians band together against corporate for 'glorious malicious compliance'

In this story, there's a happy ending for those who deserve one! This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/SirMizzuh, who proves to be a true man of the people, as they say.

He worked as a technician for a small telecom company in a full-time capacity, but eventually they started to institute shady policies (i.e. enforcing double trips for every ticket, cutting employee hours, tracking their every move, etc.). They even held required meetings (and tried not to pay employees for those meetings), where they would go through every detail on their timesheets. If this isn't a setup for some Machiavellian malicious compliance, I don't know what is. Keep scrolling below to see how the Redditor and his coworkers banded together to get back at corporate. It's even more glorious when you learn what happened to the company at the end of the day. For more, take a look at this post about an employee who was CC'd about her own upcoming termination.

‘I need to park here, get out...’ 'I live here, that's not how it works': Scowling Karen throws tantrum for parking spot, dude already parked there hilariously goes feral 'Boston' on her

It's not very often that you render a Karen speechless, but when it happens everything feels alright in the world. At least for that moment when the Karen looks at you shocked with utterly nothing to say. So epically satisfying. Recently, a construction worker from Boston had that moment and shared it online and it's truly making everyone's day.

The construction worker, Tyler Dilisio was sitting in his van outside of his home before heading out to work. While he was sitting there minding his own business, a Karen came along and did what they do best, and insert herself into somebody's else's business. She aggressively knocked on this man's car window and demand he leave that parking spot because she needed that spot and he had no right to be there. He looked at her stunned, but with no intention of giving this lady the benefit of the doubt. He stood his ground, told her he is not moving, that is his parking spot, and he lives there. She did not care—obviously. She said she deserved the parking spot, not him, and he had to move or she was going to report his license plate number. (LOL) He made it clear he was absolutely not moving from that spot and she responded by calling him a "disgusting piece of crap."

Usually, that is when somebody would either walk away or look at the Karen in disbelief, but not a Bostonian. Without missing a beat, he looked her in her smug Karen face and said in the most epic Boston accent, "ya mother." The look she gave in response to that was simply priceless. Twitter is blowing up about it, TikTok can't get enough of watching this Karen's shocked face. It's good to know that just going feral "Boston" on a Karen is the most effective path when dealing in their childish tantrums.

Watch the video and read the hilarious responses below.

'Blueberries are the only fruit named after a color:' 30 people who were proudly, confidently incorrect

Did you know that fake news tends to travel around the web significantly faster than true stories? The internet is fairly lawless when it comes to that, so it's no wonder that so many people have drastically wrong opinions. At the time of writing this, Twitter had instated blue check marks for tons of random accounts who paid $8 for the privilege, leading to a positively hilarious few weeks of mayhem. There was a fake Twitter Support account that was cursing people out instead of helping, fake celebrity accounts, and even fake brands. Fake news may be harder to escape than ever! In these photos below, people definitely fell for a few old wives tales or fake news factoids. Or they were just straight up wrong - but still ready to shout their opinions from the rooftops anyway.

Teacher on a Power Trip Refuses to Give College Student a Perfect Score

This teacher clearly has a chip on their shoulder. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/mildlyinfuriating subreddit by u/TheReallyEvil1, and let's start by acknowledging that this student's future is by no means being compromised by these slightly less-than-perfect scores. Complaining about getting good grades is a great way to get people to dislike you. However, once something like this happens three times in a row, it's worth complaining about.

Several people in the comments section pointed out that there are numerous teachers out there who believe that no one is worthy of a perfect score because humans are not perfect and only "the man upstairs" is. Ideologies like those make me instantly gag. I would rather this teacher just be a petty mastermind than spew that nonsense to their students. At this point, it's definitely worth it for the student to confront their professor and pick their brain about what their reasoning might be.

New Level Of Cringe: 20 Dad Jokes That Are So Bad They’re Actually Funny

Ah, another batch of cringeworthy dad jokes just in time for the holidays. If you've spent Thanksgiving with your family, you probably had to suffer a few dad jokes at the table. Maybe you pretended they were funny, or maybe you were rude and straight up about how they weren't… either way, these jokes never cease to fascinate us. For some reason, dads genuinely think that they're funny. They aren't, most of the time, but their confidence is unbreakable.

As we get older, we may find ourselves unintentionally imitating our dad's behavior — and before we know it, we may find that we are the ones making other people uncomfortable, or getting butthurt that somebody didn't laugh at our joke. We hope somebody will be there to snap us out of it because nobody wants to be that dude. So without further ado, scroll down and check out the funniest dad jokes we've found on Reddit this week.

'Basically out of state tuition for Reese Cups': Dude confesses to overcharging 5,000 people at snack stand

For most of us, the worst thing we ever did in high school was skip class or stay out too late on the weekends. For this guy, who shared this years-old secret on the r/Confession page, he did something apparently much worse, according to some commenters: he swindled thousands of people out of their pocket change as they bought snacks!

The story goes that this dude was in charge of a snack table at his high school's sports games. But without any type of menu dictating prices of snacks, he took the initiative to be a little sneaky. This poster actually answered lots of questions in the comments, too! The post was pretty polarizing, with some commenters claiming he's a stone cold liar. But other commenters were pretty impressed with this young person's boldness and, well, his ability to steal. The post is tagged with "remorse," and in the comments the OP admitted it was stealing. How much money is too much money, though? No one can quite agree on that.

'This has caused some of our worst fighting': Greedy husband refuses to split $400 rebate from HOA with his wife

This guy must hate his wife! In fact, if they don't end up splitting that $400 rebate, it's very possible that the two of them will be the ones splitting up.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/NorthEazy, who has as much self-awareness as an inanimate object. He was recently accepted into the Board of Directors of their HOA. Prior to his membership, he and his wife would split their $400 HOA fee down the middle. However, one of the perks of joining the Board is that they no longer have to pay that fee. Enter the conflict! Our greedy husband over here seems to think that because he serves on the Board, he should be granted that $400 rebate, while his wife should still have to pay a $200 fee. I guess marriage is less of a true partnership for him and more of a transaction since she would basically be paying him that money. Ridiculous!
