This teacher clearly has a chip on their shoulder. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/mildlyinfuriating subreddit by u/TheReallyEvil1, and let's start by acknowledging that this student's future is by no means being compromised by these slightly less-than-perfect scores. Complaining about getting good grades is a great way to get people to dislike you. However, once something like this happens three times in a row, it's worth complaining about.
Several people in the comments section pointed out that there are numerous teachers out there who believe that no one is worthy of a perfect score because humans are not perfect and only "the man upstairs" is. Ideologies like those make me instantly gag. I would rather this teacher just be a petty mastermind than spew that nonsense to their students. At this point, it's definitely worth it for the student to confront their professor and pick their brain about what their reasoning might be.
