Did you know that fake news tends to travel around the web significantly faster than true stories? The internet is fairly lawless when it comes to that, so it's no wonder that so many people have drastically wrong opinions. At the time of writing this, Twitter had instated blue check marks for tons of random accounts who paid $8 for the privilege, leading to a positively hilarious few weeks of mayhem. There was a fake Twitter Support account that was cursing people out instead of helping, fake celebrity accounts, and even fake brands. Fake news may be harder to escape than ever! In these photos below, people definitely fell for a few old wives tales or fake news factoids. Or they were just straight up wrong - but still ready to shout their opinions from the rooftops anyway.
