Mean girls will always be the mean girl. It's as if they have a toxic cloud of rude energy that surrounds them and compels them to be complete jerks to the people around them, manipulating people's insecurities and using deep trauma and feeble attention seeking tactics to control the people around them. One super extra mean girl, u/blueisnotcreative, is the worst kind of mean girl– the kind that plays innocent and pretends to be everyone's friend. Yuck. 

Recently, Blue posted on AITA, asking if she was the one being a jerk in a situation that is so beyond cringe that it's mystifying how she didn't catch onto her not-so-hidden meanness. She explains a story about how a male friend of hers (James) used to be pretty overweight and decided to make a lifestyle change that resulted in him becoming physically fit and apparently very attractive, which is great for him! However, Blue couldn't stand the idea of having her clingy DUFF turned into the hot piece at every social gathering so she had to nock him down a notch because she is a total narcissist. 

At a party, a tipsy cute girl approached James and started acting flirty with him, but realized soon after that Blue was standing and staring at her with a snarky look on her face. The tipsy girl asked if the two of them were together, a respectful thing to do considering she was trying to make a move on the man), and Blue became the biggest jerk and let her inner mean girl fly loose. 

Blue laughed and joked that the tipsy girl would never have dreamed of asking them that a year ago when James was still fat.

The fat-shaming mean girl basically implied that her friend, someone she apparently cared about, wasn't worthy of being loved or dated before he was considerably more in shape, hot, and attractive. Naturally, Redddit destroyed Blue in the comments, claiming that she was a huge AH and was extremely toxic for James, especially now that he is turning his life around. It really doesn't pay to be a huge jerk in situations, especially when it means steamrolling your friends for an ounce of attention towards yourself. Conceited, rude, and clearly jealous.

I mean, how dare he want to take care of his family? Unbelievable. This person who worked at a steak and seafood restaurant had to deal with the crankiest and most entitled of customers. As the OP shared to r/TalesFromYourServer, some people just do not know how to be kind to service workers. 

The writer, u/RedTailFox1957, shared this story from their time as a waiter. They had lots of regulars who were nice, but there was the odd person who would be extra demanding throughout their meal. One story that clearly stuck with the waiter was this one guy they simply called the "grumpy old man" (GOM). He and his wife came in to order some scallops, but the GOM was very, very displeased with his meal. He let out a verbal tirade on this poor waiter — I can't believe the waiter didn't burst into tears right then and there! The other customers actually sided with the OP though, after seeing how terribly the GOM was treating this worker. 

Next, bite into another food story. This guy ordered a sandwich just the way he thought he wanted it, with EXTRA ONION… so the employees just did exactly as he asked.

For me, this is not about the smoking. It's about this guy's refusal to take the Redditor seriously and his active choice to give her a hard time.

The issue was that the Redditor anticipated that if they rang up the order as two quesadillas, it would still be $24 despite the missing ingredients. They tried to help the customer out by asking if she wanted a lettuce wrap instead or something else that would be more bang for her buck, so to speak. Nope! She was insistent that she wanted the two quesadillas her way and was particularly rude about it. So you can imagine her shock when she saw that the price hadn't changed. Our opinion? This was 100% picky Karen's fault.

When renting or even owning property on of the biggest nightmares is a fire. That is why there are fire safety laws, especially in renting property for everyone's safety. However, in big cities, such as New York, it is easy to fly under the radar and get away with fire hazards. It doesn't seem like a big deal in the moment if there is a couple of bikes blocking the fire exit, or the smoke detecter doesn't work, but if an emergency happens those things become big problems. So as a tenant, for your safety and the safety of everyone else in the building, it is important to report fire hazards (or clear them up yourself if possible) when you see them. 

That is exactly what the tenants of this NYC apartment building had been doing for months to no avail. One of the tenants seemed to be running some shady things in his apartment. The main concern, however, were the many e-bikes they had piled up in the hallway outside of their apartment. E-bike batteries, especially off-market brands, are prone to catching fire very often. It has been a huge problem in the e-bike industry and that is why they have rules surrounding them. 

So the tenants reported this obvious fire hazard over and over again. Not only to the super, but to the landlord, the police and fire department, and even city officials. One summons was sent, but no further action was ever taken. One woman named Claire decided enough was enough and she didn't want to put her life at risk, so she moved out in early January. About a month later, the place indeed catches on fire and she posts about it on her TikTok. 

She rightfully is frustrated and upset because she and the other tenants did everything they could to try and prevent this fire from happening, but they were met with no help. Now the entire 5th floor has been turned to ashes and she is wondering what actions she should next. Viewers leave comments applauding her for following her guts and doing everything she could and also giving her legal advice for what to do next.

You have to occasionally question why someone wants to order the spiciest thing on the planet. Is it just to prove some point or to flaunt your tolerance? No one cares, dude! However, the Redditor knew his boss couldn't get that mad, not only because those were his instructions, but also because his boss would have a hard time finding a replacement who would agree to this kind of pay and treatment. ‘You Messed With the Wrong Cosplayer’ : Entitled Lady Insults Cosplayer on Online Fandom, He Plays Ultimate Long Game of Revenge, Leading To Her Losing $25,000 Prize in Social Media Contest

A portmanteau of the words 'play' and 'costume', cosplay is the act of dressing up in a fictional character's apparel. While adorning this character's costume, the cosplayer oftentimes adopts their persona and mannerism. Let's be clear, a lot of effort is put into this recreation of a character, so the last thing you'd wanna do is insult the person who does it. Personally, I really admire the dedication and the zest that people have for it. It's not just a costume — it's an art, a performance. 

Missy, on the other hand, who you'll soon come to know, is the kind of dudette that gets off on putting other people down — in real life, and on Facebook Fandoms, it so seems. u/Daligheri uploaded a couple of photos to the group (He was the Witcher) and got some snarky and rude responses from this Missy gal, who insulted his makeup, and his gender. She claimed that someone who plays a male cosplayer should be biologically male. Problematic much? Correct.

Then of course, as life is ironic and weird, Missy was running for a huge social media contest of sorts, and on her profile, she'd spoken warmly about herself, claiming she was a very nonjudgemental person. u/Daligheri had a good laugh, then realized this was actually a perfect opportunity for payback. So he carefully planned his revenge.

Without people like this, companies will only continue to exploit their workers. Well, if we're being our most cynical selves, we can acknowledge that companies will likely continue to exploit their workers no matter what. However, they will only continue to go unchecked and will only be emboldened to ramp up their unfair treatment of others unless workers call them out on their BS. We wish that the burden didn't have to fall on the exploited, but unfortunately, no changes will be made otherwise.

 

This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/juelpa,  serves as another example of this fact. We have to give props to the original poster for being so completely transparent. They could have just quit, but laying out all these ridiculous policies could potentially make things easier for those who have to stay. Unfortunately, the Redditor has to go back into the workplace once more to return a key. We anticipate that this will be an awkward encounter, to say the least.
