‘I Only Went Out to Lunch!’ : Karen Takes Car From Leasing Company for 2 Hour Test Ride Adding 60 Miles to Odometer, Ignores All Attempts at Means of Communication, Leading to Police Getting Involved

Like all establishments, an automobile company has rules and policies. It seems entirely plausible (generally speaking,) that people would understand a little thing called the 'rule of thumb'. AKA, the unspoken agreement. But unfortunately, not everyone is very bright. There are many possible conclusions one may come to when a car seemingly evaporates into thin air. When you disappear for two hours when taking a car out for a test drive, and ignore all of the staff's attempts at reaching out to you digitally, it's fair to assume that the company will call the cops on you. For all they know, you've done a dine-and-dash, with an actual car. 

As it so turns out, one crazy lady took incredible offense when police got involved after she drove off with a car for a 'test drive', and returned two and a half hours later. This Karen took to Yelp to formally complain. Many crocodile tears were involved (She mentioned the word 'crying' about 15 times). The company replied to her review with a few minor details she had conveniently left out.

Such as the fact that while on this mini road trip, she managed to pack in quite an itinerary. She picked up a friend, who she then went to lunch with, then went off-roading, and finally made her way back to the car company to return said car. Boy was she surprised when a police cruiser was there along with the entire team of employees, awaiting her arrival with baited breath,

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/pixelkid44, and we should point out that the Redditor actually had no intention of sabotage here. Her hairdresser advised that she put blue hair dye in her shampoo so that her hair can maintain its color. Her younger sister, who is blonde, tends to have a habit of taking the Redditor's things. By the time the blue hair dye drama ensued, the Redditor's parents assumed it was a prank to teach the younger sister a lesson. We're taking the Redditor's word for it when she insists that this wasn't the case and that she simply didn't think she needed to inform everyone that she was putting blue hair dye in her personal shampoo. Regardless, the results are kind of iconic.

Major Tattoo Fail Sends Girl Home in Tears, Spends Proceeding Weeks Trying to Scrub Them Off, Works Enough to Get Them Expertly Fixed

If you didn't know this already, tattoos are permanent… As parents like to remind their tatted up children quite often. So what do you do if you get a bad tattoo or it comes out messed up somehow? Well, usually you either wait until it's healed and spend thousands of dollars getting it removed by a professional. Or you talk with another tattoo artist, preferably one you trust, and see how you can transform it or cover it up to look better. Others however take a riskier route and try to hinder the healing of the tattoo so it doesn't heal properly and it fades. This is possible, but not guaranteed and can cause serious scarring or even infection. So we highly recommend you DON'T do that. 

That being said, this girl got some truly heinous fine line tattoos from a TikTok tattoo artist she saw and it sent her into tears. She was so desperate that she spent the proceeding weeks scrubbing her tattoos with oil and salt and soaking them in hydrogen peroxide. She did it enough, and the tattoos we're light enough to begin with, that she was actually able to significantly fade them. And with that she went to her usual tattoo artist and got them expertly fixed. She learned her lesson the hard way and vows never to "cheat" on her tattoo artist again.

'At this point I'm petty and angry': Rental company tries to charge guy for extra day, cue devastatingly dirty malicious compliance

Companies really hate when their consumers know their rights, which one customer used to their advantage when they needed a rental car. As the customer, you're subject to a company's rules the moment you sign a contract. But if you just follow that contract to the letter, following all the rules, there's nothing the company can do to stop you. 

One poster shared this experience to r/MaliciousCompliance, one car rental company tried to screw him over after renting a car for five weeks. They needed the car while their personal vehicle was in the shop, but it seemed like an easy enough way to return the vehicle after the time was up — OP just used a dropbox to deliver the keys. But after checking out their personal vehicle, the OP realized it was still broken. Annoying! And not even the most annoying part of their story, because the headache with the car rental company was just beginning.

Danny explained that he used to be a drug addict and had been clean for over a year. While he was turning his life around, he met a young woman who he was truthful with about his past; they loved each other and eventually found an apartment to move in together. Everything was looking great in Danny's life until, out of the blue, his girlfriend broke up with him, claiming false accusations and sharing a ton of weirdly detailed information about things that never happened. She took off.

Well, Danny was suspicious about the whole situation immediately because one of the incidences she brought up as one of the reasons she couldn't continue dating him was an extremely delicate subject that he shared with only two people: Danny's therapist and his older brother, who we can call "Greg".

Apparently shady-Greg shared some deeply personal information with the girlfriend, driving her away from Danny on purpose. On top of that, after planting seeds of doubt, Greg gave the girlfriend a huge chunk of money so that she could go off on her own and find a new apartment. Danny confronted Greg about his deceptions and the whole situation escalated. Greg openly humiliated Danny and went off on how he was unreliable and a failure, but when Mrs. Greg walked in, he hushed the whole conversation, attempting to keep her out of the loop. Greg convinced Danny's girlfriend to break up with him, but doesn't want his wife to know. Sketchy, right?

Danny couldn't believe the lengths that his older brother would go to ruin his life. The backstabbing alone is enough to drive someone away, but from your own brother it's so much more painful. Commenters on the post agree that Greg is a POS and that Danny should tell the wife about the entire situation, because something here seems a bit fishy.

The man recently posted on AITA, wondering if he was being a jerk to his girlfriend (whom he was about to move in with). She had asked him to pick up her 14 year old daughter after school and he happily obliged, not specifying that he would be picking her up on his motorcycle. OOF.

The man was excited about a potential bonding moment with the teenaged girl, considering they were just about to move into his house, and he took it upon himself to load her up onto his motorcycle without the mom's explicit permission, going on a nice little joyride in the mountains before returning home. When the girlfriend found out later that evening, she was absolutely livid that her teenager was on the back of the motorcycle, scorching the Earth where the man stood for endangering her daughter. Shocked, the man wondered if he might have screwed things up with his girlfriend and, in Reddit's opinion, he certainly screwed the pooch on this one.

Cooking is such a personal thing, especially when you're cooking nice warm meals for the family you love. You have to take the time to look up a recipe, write down all those ingredients, shop, chop it all up, and stand at the stove stirring everything together. The best part is when the meal turns out beautifully and you get to serve it to your hungry spouse, relatives, or kids. 

Of course, there are many differences between families and between how they share their meals together. ‘Gen Z Sucks’ : Baby Boomers Spark Debate on Reddit Thread Regarding the New Tech-Savvy Generation

Are you 'with the times', or are you a Boomer? It's kind of a given that generational differences are going to spark heated debates. Boomers hate Gen X who hate Millennials. But who do these three generations hate the most? Gen Z, of course. We live in an era where generations don't really mix all that frequently. Youngsters seek out the freedom that independent living offers as soon as possible. 

The internet is rampant (Ahem, Reddit) with generational debates, and as Gen Z yap on about the privilege older people had regarding the economy back in the day ('We'll never own a house!'), baby boomers bemoan what they discern as fragility in the younger generation, as well as 'their lack of work ethic'. As usual, everybody has something to say, and the best place to say it is obviously on the internet.

Better yet, on r/askmen, where this debate surprisingly took place. I'd expect it on r/askreddit, but the subreddit for men seemed like an interesting place to pose this question: What's something you're a total "Boomer" about, even if you're "with the times" for most everything else?

In my personal opinion, everything always sucks, for different reasons. The rationale is ever-changing, and we're never gonna stop complaining. I can just imagine the criticism that Gen Z is going to have for Generation Alpha (Yep, already a new generation nearly in their mid-teens y'all. I feel old…). Maybe something along the lines of 'You're so lucky to have been born after the economy balanced out, 'cuz in MY day we could NEVER have bought a house'.

There are actually various analysts that have stated that this Alpha generation is gonna be the best educated, most technologically immersed, and wealthiest generation yet. ‘I quit on the spot and found a better job:’ Toxic Boss Disrespects Employee for the First and Last Time After Employee Epically Quits and Walks Out with No Regrets Mid-Reprimand

It's 2023, y'all, it's time to not take any crap from your employers. Oh, they're yelling at you and gaslighting you and making everything your fault even though they have been nothing but unhelpful, disrespectful, and just right out a jerk? Well, you stand up and GTFO of there. Stand tall, say your goodbyes, and walk on out with your head held high. You deserve better than selling your soul to a person who sees you as gum under their shoe. Sometimes it's better to work at a Chipotle with coworkers and managers that respect you than it is to work at a fancy pants company that treats you like you're garbage.

That is what one factory worker did recently and shared his epic quitting journey on Reddit. Long story short, a new boss came into play and instantly had it out for this factory worker because he stuck to his efficient ways of working rather than conforming to what the new manager said because he had no idea what he was talking about having just started working there. The new manager started yelling at him like a child throwing a tantrum after the employee told the manager's secretary that he can just email her the paperwork needed, since he doesn't have a printer at his station. 

In the midst of this disrespectful unwarranted reprimand, the boss basically said it's his way or the highway. The employee took a few seconds to think about it and decided he'll take the highway then, thank you very much. He walked out with his head high, even though he was nervously walking onto the path of unemployment. But to add salt to injury to the horrible boss, the now-ex-employee quickly found a new job that was closer to home, had better hours, and better pay.

Service Industry Employees Share Their Hilariously Embarrassing Communication Fails

We've all done it. That moment when your brain seems to automatically reboot without your permission. Like your brain needs a good unplug and plug back in again and you say "you too" to the waitress giving you your meal. It works both ways though. It's not just as a customer struggling to form words with your mouth to the employees, but it is also the employees who struggle sometimes. When you're tired, overworked, and/or lacking in sleep and you're working and someone ask's how your day is and you say "no thank you" or you accidentally end a phone call with a customer by saying "I love you." It's all too much to bare. You want to bury yourself in a ditch, but you also cannot stop laughing. It's such a silly slip up that it's hilarious. You first feel shame and embarrassment fill your body and you just want to hide. But once you have some time to sit on it, you laugh so much about it you start to cry. 

Well, one servicer industry employee posted a video confessing how she accidentally said "this messica is for jessica" and it haunts her to this day. 'I gotta use the bathroom': Interview candidate learns how low salary is, asks to use the restroom, gets in car, and drives home

I think we can all agree that Jessica is an icon. She found out in an in-person interview that the salary for the position was changed to $3.15 lower than the agreed-upon rate. When she inquired about it, the interviewer said that since she was already here in the office, Jessica "may as well take it." 

 

Well, let's just say that Jessica did not just take it. Instead, she asked to use the bathroom and ghosted the interviewer immediately. According to her friend, who shared this thread on Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit, Jessica is notoriously bad at confrontation. She might not have been intending to be an absolute icon-in-the-making, but that's what wound up happening. The next time we're at interviews and are presented with a bait and switch, we should all be like Jessica and ask to use the facilities before getting the heck out of that office as fast as possible.

As u/Djorgal shared, they work part time as a math teacher in France. Since they only work part-time, they kept telling their principal that they wouldn't be able to cover the entirety of the student's upcoming tests. With the teachers having to come in early for the testing, this teacher wouldn't be able to stay the entire day without breaking the rules of their employment. And of course, after giving the principal ample notice about their part time status, this teacher got to tell her off in a very epic way.
