Your boomer parents probably raised you to be independent and take care of yourself in life, allowing you to spend all day outside with your friends. You came home when the sun set — no helicopter parenting for your generation! 

Now that Gen Xers are in their late 30s to 50s, they're becoming parents and grandparents themselves. Things are so different for kids today — they love things like Fortnite and Tiktok and internet celebrities you've never heard of. Not to judge kids these days too hard, but the young people are very into iPads. You can't pry it out of their hands. They'll want to show you their Minecraft worlds… and it just makes you recall building pillow forts and having an imaginary world made up in your head.
