This guy shared the story of his days at school, being trapped there without any access to the delightful flash games of the early 00s thanks to the school's overbearing firewall. As idle minds do, he began developing a workaround to circumvent the firewall. With the help of his older brother, the pair figured out a way to download the game files so that they could be hosted on another site, creating site after site of his own in order to continuously evade the firewall with the motivation of continued access to the game as teachers discovered the sites.
With the motivation of the reward of accessible games, the guy developed the skills that would later go on to fuel his career as a software engineer, making it one of the most important skills he learned from school.
