'I was told it looks unprofessional': Front desk employee at hotel not allowed to use same bathroom as guests, cue malicious compliance

God forbid the guests realize the employees are human! This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/toomuchteatoday, who shared their experience working at a hotel that was recently completely redone with new management and new obscene "rules."

Some of these rules include the following ridiculous mandates: that employees cannot use the same bathrooms as the guests and should therefore take the 5-minute walk to the closest employee bathroom and that employees are not allowed to keep a bottle of water with them behind the desk and should also take a long walk to the beak room just to stay hydrated. So what did this Redditor do? Follow the rules, of course. What did that, in turn, create? Long lines of guests waiting to be served and bad reviews online. Malicious compliance at its finest!
