This Redditor had me screaming "RUN!" by the second sentence! Her thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit and detailed her complicated dynamic with her boyfriend of 5 months.
The fact that she offers a sort of disclaimer at the beginning of her post about why her boyfriend likes to refer to himself as the "divorcee" rather than just "divorced" says quite a lot. Anyone who feels the need to constantly communicate to the world that he initiated his divorce probably…didn't.
Next big red flag: he's 35 years old, she's 29, and she pays for everything. The Redditor mentions that she recently got a second job, so evidently, that's why it "makes sense" for her to foot the bill (there has been no mention of her boyfriend having even one job, by the way). Matters were made worse when the two of them were seated at a restaurant waiting for his parents to arrive. That's when the Worst Boyfriend Ever decided to mention that the Redditor would be paying for everyone's meals. Thank God this woman stood up for herself and got out of there as fast as she could.
This man is a leech and potentially a pathological liar. The fact that he still made comparisons to his ex during their fight also goes to show that his wife probably left him for similar reasons. 5 months is simply not enough time in a relationship for this kind of imbalance to develop healthily. In short, this woman needs to RUN, FORREST, RUN!
