People care about their pets, like a lot. So it's no question that a lot of us have stories about rushing a pet to the vet at the slightest indication that something is wrong. The problem with animals is that they don't talk, so unless you have a really smart parrot, your not going to be able to grill them about where exactly their stomach hurts. As it so happens, it's not uncommon for people to rush their distressed pet to a medical professional and throw down a few hundred bucks to be told "yeah, sometimes they're like that."
It's definitely good to have the peace of mind that your dog isn't dying and that it actually sat on a dead bee and freaked out for four hours, but at the same time, really dude? You couldn't have just told me that was your issue? We could have had this solved hours ago if you just spoke up.
