What is love? First of all, baby don't hurt me. But secondly, a whole lot of it seems to revolve around "just getting along." That sounds like a boring and mundane thing, but life itself is mostly boring and mundane. And part of having someone in your life is living through the boring parts and still enjoying, or at least tolerating them. And the beauty of a solid relationship is that even if you constantly say really dumb things, the other person just has to deal with it. It's not like they'd leave just because every time you pick up stud finder you hold it over yourself and go "beep!" Well, they could leave, but if you've already got a joint account it's probably not gonna happen. What we're trying to get at here is that the deeper in you are, the stupider and more constant jokes you can make. And there's beauty in being annoying and knowing the other person just has to deal with it. And if they come up with a more annoying thing to do as retaliation, then you know you've got something really special.
Just about every relationship is built on a strong foundation of the annoying things people's spouses do. Sometimes that's their inability to wrap extension cords correctly, and other times it's their insistence on introducing their current wife as "my ex girlfriend." We all have our jokes.
