21 Creative Fails To Make Up For The Lack Of Serotonin

Some of the most creative things we'll ever come to find are on the internet. Reddit is literally one of the most entertaining sites on the web, and never fails to bring us some of the funniest content. And now, finally, the weekend has descended upon us, and we can take a chill pill. It was a ridiculously long week at work, and all we want to do is sit ourselves down on the couch and not move, preferably ever again. Maybe flick through the different channels on TV, order some Chinese takeout (or Pizza) and go to sleep early. Bonus points if we're lucky enough to have a dog's companionship.

While scrolling through r/funny, we happened across some hilarious fails (or maybe wins? Depending on how you look at it) and decided to share our findings with you. Check it out down below. Plus, if you want even more of a good laugh, feel free to click here for some hilarious memes.

20 Memes for the haters and their motivators

You're always going to be the villain in someone's story. It's impossible to go through life and not gain a few haters along the way. People will see you doing well and get jealous. Or, you might annoy someone and they just decide they don't care for you anymore. Life is funny like that. Check out this fine collection of memes about and for the haters, who remain our motivators!

Then, check out this feud over a faulty leather jacket, as one person began arguing with a company over a 1-star review of their product.

Top 20+ 'Screw You' Gifts for Passive Aggressive Gift Givers Everywhere

We've all given and received at least one horrible Holiday gift, but what are the worst ones? If you scroll below to see what people had to say in the comments section of this r/AskReddit thread, you may be shocked to see what some people have been gifted. Highlights include the following: (1) Punishing parents of young children by getting their kids gifts that make substantial amounts of noise; (2) wildly outdated things like Axe Body Spray or a Blockbuster gift card; (3) straight-up regifting what you were given last year (raise your hand if you've done that in the past). Regardless of whether or not you have given or received a gift like this, this just goes to show that Holiday gifts are not only an opportunity to be thoughtful and kind, but they are also an opportunity to be petty and passive-aggressive. The irony of that duality is something so special and so specific it could only occur on Christmas day. For more, check out these top 20 Karens of the year.

Professor says research paper isn't long enough, so student gets one published to a history journal

There are times in our lives when we face the challenge of someone who holds authority over us. This challenge may not be totally fair — or even sensical — but it necessitates a response all the same. We then have a choice at that point, do we rise to the challenge? Or find another path?

This student decided to rise to their professor's challenge when they were told that their paper wasn't long enough, despite being within the required length range. When the time for the next paper rolled around, the student put in a ton of extra work in order to craft a 29-page essay. This essay was so comprehensive that it earned them top marks from the teacher, who then suggested that they submit it to a research journal.

The student clearly thinks they have executed glorious malicious compliance here. But have they really achieved malicious compliance if it was the teacher's intention all along to get them to rise to the challenge?

Keep reading for screenshots of this thread; for more, check out this student who was accused by their professor of abusing the grading policy.

‘Don’t You Dare Press Charges, And Stop Documenting My Daughter's Behavior’ : Crazy Landlady Freaks After Video Footage of Her 45 Year Old Daughter Vandalizing Tenants Property Surfaces

Every year, the amount we pay for rent, food, and other necessities just keeps getting higher. We really don't need any additional craziness added to the already bubbling mix of bizarre crap we endure on a daily basis. But alas, there will always be someone out there who will be determined to make our lives harder. Sometimes, if not often, it's our landlord/lady. This particular story is giving out a bad vibe. You know how in horror movies, you see the main character doing stupid crap they shouldn't be doing? Ahem, for example:

At midnight (duh), the lights begin to flicker… They make a bunch of confused faces, that amplify when the noises begin. Screeeeeech… it comes from the basement (of course). They hurry to get a flashlight, because it is somehow more visually appealing than a smartphone, and begin the dreary way down the creaky steps, shining the light down below where you may or may not see some unclear creature of sorts bolt in front of the camera.

All the while you're thinking, 'WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? GTFO!'. Then they d**, the end. So that's the feeling we got when reading this post on r/AITA. It gets real wacky, real fast. Yo, if our landlady's grown-up kid was in our bedroom and began destroying our property in (frankly) really weird ways, we'd be out of there way before anyone could convince us otherwise.

Accidentally profound: 20 Wise philosophical quotes that actually come from the silliest sources

You never know when a TV show or movie will create an absolute banger of a quote. There are plenty of great examples, of course. But one Twitter user had an intriguing thought, writing, '"I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know
I'll never see" being from a Star Wars show is like "I will face God and walk backwards into Hell" being a dril quote'. The tweet has gained popularity as people submit their own favorite serious quotes that actually come from silly sources. While a few people submitted other dril tweets as their faves, others cited "Batman" and even "Spy Kids 2" as sources of brilliant inspirations!

After you gain enlightenment from the "Spy Kids 2" quote, check out these 35 oddball Christmas trees made from the most random items imaginable.

'When it came time for gifts I got everyone something but her': Woman gets petty revenge on partner's entitled mother by not getting her a Christmas gift

Whatever happened to "you get what you get and you don't get upset?" This woman's potentially future mother-in-law was incredibly rude after the past two Christmas gift exchanges. What was she expecting this time around?

This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/TrueOffMyChest subreddit, should hopefully speak to those of you on this Christmas day who have to deal with ungrateful family members, rude tantrums, and the kind of passive-aggressive behavior that can accompany Holiday gatherings. We salute you all for just trying to stay above the fray, and we can live vicariously through this Redditor, who decided that enough was enough. If this mother seriously thought the past two gifts were "some tacky little trinkets bought from Target" when they were actually very thoughtful attempts at getting in her good graces, then Monster-in-Law has truly forfeited her right to a decent gift. We hope that none of you have had to deal with BS like this during your gift exchanges. Keep scrolling below for the original post and the best comments, and feel free to share what Christmas-related drama you've been dealing with this year! ‘An Eye For An Eye’ : Couple Exacts Petty Revenge On Friends Who Didn't Invite Them To Wedding, Drama Ensues

The holidays bring about SO much drama. Whether it's with friends, families, or romantic partners, there always seems to be someone who gets butthurt by someone else and makes a scene. The bottom line is people can behave however they want (free will and all that), but they should not expect that their actions have zero consequences. If you're gonna be petty, some people may very well be petty right back.

While scouring Reddit, we happened across a couple who decided that their friends don't really deserve an invite to their annual Christmas party, after they hadn't been invited to their wedding. It gets a little messy. We don't really understand hypocrites… if you feel like someone isn't close enough to come to your wedding, that's fine. Just don't expect to be invited to their events, either. Scroll down to read about the drama that ensued.

20+ Holiday present ideas for sassy, snarky gift-givers

Shopping for holiday presents for every single person on your list can be quite the challenge. Many families deal with this by sending out a list of gift ideas, and some even send links to the online items to make your shopping easier.

But there's always a few people who don't want to send a list. And then, they get what they get, and they don't get upset. If you're still looking for ideas for some of the sarcastic people in your life who don't know what they want, look no further. Below are 20+ ideas for silly geese giving gifts to fickle friends, and half of them are not even terrible ideas.

After that, read about this dude who literally ordered a nothing burger, and showed the internet what he received when the food delivery service showed up.

'The client was so angry': Pedantic boss costs company $300,000 sale over $0.30 transaction fee

There is a strength in the business world to being extremely particular with how you go about things. Dotting i's, crossing t's, and balancing every column is a sure way to ensure your business smoothly operates — but there is a point where being overly pedantic will only hurt that business.

'Send them out as a power move': Dude screws up huge batch of Christmas cards with a hilarious misprint

Sending holiday cards to friends and loved ones is a longstanding tradition. This year, one man tried his hardest to create his own special holiday cards, and ended up as the proud owner of 90 misprints!

It's not ideal to spend money on unusable cards. But he may have made up for it with this tweet, which garnered over 121,000 likes. People in the comments absolutely loved this card from the Whites.

After you scroll through the Great Christmas Card Caper, check out these 30 terrible, awful, cringey computer setups.

‘The priest followed up to see if I’d told my husband’: Priest breaks confession seal and reveals woman’s adultery

Is it the priest's fault or did she do this to herself? Our immediate hot take here is…both? This thread was reposted to Reddit's r/facepalm subreddit. In the original post, a woman explains that she went to confession to tell a priest about the one-night stand she had years ago that her husband still doesn't know about. As part of her penance, the priest told her that she was going to have to tell the truth to her spouse.

Well, the priest beat her to it! When he followed up and called her home directly, he spilled the beans to her husband, who understandably did not take it well. Now, this woman is seeking legal action against the priest. Sure, maybe that'll give her some semblance of satisfaction, but shouldn't she be directing her energy instead to her husband and trying to save her marriage? She seems like the kind of person who will do anything to prove she was right about SOMETHING rather than confront the wrongdoing that's staring right at her in the face. Keep scrolling below for the full story. When you're done, take a look at this post about a cheating coworker who got caught.

'This is unacceptable': Landlord messages tenant wanting to pour concrete drive on Christmas day in viral text message

Ah, the wonders of Christmas morning: Family gathering around the tree, coming from near and far in order to enjoy a day filled with mirth and cheer — all to the tune of the landlord's new concrete driveway being poured and leveled. What a wonderful time of year.

20+ Ancient Christmas cards that have no business being this funny

The art of sending holiday cards seems to be dying out, so revive your passion for the season with these hilarious, very old Christmas cards! Dating back to the Victorian era, some of these cards are mighty ancient. Their weirdo designs probably made some sense back in the day,  as an inside joke, perhaps.

Update: 'I just rage-quit my job of 5 years': Worker returns a year after quitting terrible job with an update

In any relationship, if you're not appreciated for your efforts, there's no better time to walk away than now. Of course, when it comes to employment, there are always considerations to be made for maintaining a source of income, but if an opportunity has presented itself for something better, you really should just go for it.

That's what this worker decided to do when they had had enough of their terrible job. They received an offer for a big increase in salary and more flexible working conditions and approached their employer to see if they were willing to match. Their current employer's response was disrespectful and rude, so they made the decision to quit on the spot.

They have now returned, a year later, with an update to share how things have gone for them in the last year and provide a little bit of insight as to whether or not their change in jobs was a good move. Overall, the change has been incredibly positive.

Keep reading for these two threads. The original thread is first, and the update starts on item #11. For more, check out this employer that instated a wild policy mandating checks of employees and their belongings before they were allowed to leave work.

'Stop joking it isn't cute': Clueless Mom tries to ground a wrong number, insists he's actually her child

One Mom tried to contact her kid, but ended up texting with a complete stranger for hours! This man shared his hilarious tale of a wrong number who just wouldn't accept that they'd gotten it wrong. He gets a message asking him to go to the store to get groceries. After explaining to the woman on the other end of the text that he's not who she thinks, she just ignores it. She keeps asking over and over again, as well as threatening her "child" with punishments. This poor guy tries everything to convince this mom she's got the wrong number, and it's very funny waiting for the coin to drop.

Up next, get inspired for holiday decorating with these wacky nontraditional Christmas trees!

‘I Can’t Stop Rolling My Eyes’ : Best Raging LinkedIn Lunatics

LinkedIn is basically a platform where grown-ups go to brag, and it doesn't sound as stupid as those Facebook 'I am thrilled to announce that I recently graduated (with honors!) from the Elite Rainbow Unicorn Ivy League School (that celebrities keep talking about LOL). The experience was spiritually eye-opening and allowed me to demonstrate my flexibility and willingness to cover up how much my parents paid the school to accept me. I'd also like to give my best friend, the Dean's daughter, a big shoutout for her (kind of snarky) words of encouragement throughout…' posts. Except you and I both know that it kind of does. And it's extra stupid, precisely because it is disguised as 'not stupid'.

To be indelicately candid, I can't stand LinkedIn. Every time I scroll through it, I roll my eyes so much that at this point they're basically at the back of my head. I can see some of the pros, obviously. For example, it's a great way to expand your social network, find a job, and develop your career… yada yada. But it's also the perfect platform to brag and say stupid crap. There is absolutely no shortage of either. Sometimes, when I'm really bored and other social platforms kind of lack content, I go to Linkedin to stay entertained. Also, thank goodness Reddit exists because there is a beautiful subreddit designed specifically for this kind of BS. Scroll down and check it out!

P.S : Have a look at this totally unrelated but funny post about a woman who clapped back at a rude dude who thought she was just a little girl.

Server Waiting an Anniversary Dinner Catches the Man Messaging on Tinder, Cleverly Outs Him in Front of His Girlfriend

Working in the service industry has so many curves and dips, it's a chaotic job to say the least. You have Karen customers yelling at you left and right, you have inexperienced and yet entitled managers getting hired, and sometimes just the strangest things happen. For instance, you could be casually waiting on a table when all of a sudden you witness a man cheating on someone he's literally eating dinner with right that second. So what do you do?

'I walked in front of the camera': Redditor sparks online discussion with their petty tactic for dealing with influencers out in the wild

These days everyone wants to be an influencer — or thinks they already are.

'I threw her money back at her': Walmart Karen tries to barter for guy's new grill in the parking lot, won't take no for an answer

Remember that kid on the playground that would come up and take your toy just because they were envious that you had one and they didn't? Yeah, some people never mature past that point.

These are the same people who try and confront you while you're loading your recently-acquired loot into your car at Walmart and demand that you give it to them because they need it more than you. Like the kid on the playground, they might not have even wanted it if they didn't see it in your hands, but — because you have it and they don't — they have to have it too.

To be completely honest, it's stressful enough dealing with strangers in public without them approaching you in the parking lot and making incoherent demands. Kudos to this guy for handling it well and sharing his experience online for us to enjoy.

Keep reading for the screenshots below, as shared by Reddit user NeatCartographer209 to Reddit's r/FuckYouKaren community. For more, check out this Karen, who got locked in a left-leaf battle with a maintenance guy.

'Literally saved a cow's life by ordering a McNothing': Guy orders burger with nothing on it to satisfy his hunger for silly experiments

What would happen if you tried to order a burger, but took off the lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, sauces, burger, and hamburger buns? One man decided to take one for the team (team being Twitter at large) and find out for himself what would happen. He posted about the experience to Twitter so that everyone else could also have a bite of the experiment.

The user, Rob DenBleyker, first created a food order of a hamburger from a popular chain, and took off every single ingredient. Scroll down to check out what happened, then read through the comments with suggestions of what this Twitter user should try next!

‘Do you know who I am? I'm rich!'...'Nobody cares.': Entitled wealthy Karen tries to skip to the front of the bagel line, entire store goes hilariously 'New Jersey' on her

Karens are already the worst to deal with, but a wealthy Karen is entitlement x1,000. The kind of tantrum-throwing that a wealthy Karen can produce can send any poor victim into the most mind-boggling frustration. However, it IS possible for justice to be served piping hot to a wealthy Karen and it's more likely to happen as a group defense. And, of course, it helps if that group is a bunch of New Jerseyans in need of bagels on a Sunday morning.

'You're a nominee for AH of the year': Heartless Karen refuses to let husband attend his ex's funeral

It doesn't get more heartless than this. This Karen entered her current relationship with her husband knowing full well that he had a close platonic friendship with his ex-wife. He made it clear from the get-go that this friendship was non-negotiable and that it would never turn into something more than friends again. He was true to his word.

Karen posted this thread to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit after her husband's ex-wife died suddenly of an aneurysm. You can sense her sick and twisted relief that she's gone. You can also sense her absolute cluelessness when she heartlessly denied her husband the right to plan and attend this woman's funeral. Thankfully, this guy stood up for himself, and now I think it's pretty clear that this marriage may also implode soon.

'There's no law regulating what qualifies as 1 vs 2 or 3 star [review]': Upset customer ignites feud with a leather store over negative online review

One unhappy customer tried to write a 1-star review about a leather jacket they got …only to have the company clap back at them.

It all started with a "name and shame" post, in which the OP told the r/Leathercraft community not to buy from this specific retailer. That's because they were really unhappy with the quality of the leather, citing about 30 imperfections. Then, when they reached out to the company, no one got back to the OP for several weeks. That was enough for the OP to want to spread the news of their poor experience.

Thus launched a feud between the brand and the customer, with the brand demanding the OP take down the scathing review. However, the OP believes they should be allowed to write a bad review for what they felt was a bad product. Unlike many Reddit posts, there isn't a clear conclusion to who is in the right and who is in the wrong in this scenario. I think that everyone needs to apologize in this situation, but other people side strongly with OP or the company.

Check out this fashionable drama below. Then, check out these melty Christmas ornaments from overseas, containing these hilariously warped Disney princesses.

'Well, that's disgusting': Wild Airbnb Fails that show just how awful hosts and guests can be

We've all had an Airbnb horror story! And if you haven't yet, you will. Let's of course remember that there have been some great experiences too. But as we all know by now, one bad experience can sometimes make you completely forget about the good times. Keep scrolling below for a look at these Airbnb fails, which also include helpful guidelines on how to spot hidden cameras in your next Airbnb (a far more common occurrence than you might think!). 'Stop enabling your adult son': Mom lets entitled son bring fast food into cousin's wedding reception

There are times when you shouldn't let your McDonald's craving get the better of you. Your cousin's wedding is certainly one of those times.

How did this mother in good conscience post this thread to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit and expect people to think she was in the right? Either she lacks any semblance of self-awareness or she's so desperate for likes on Reddit that she made the whole thing up. If we're going with the former, hopefully, the judges of the AITA community gave this lady plenty to think about, particularly when it comes to her son. The dude is 22 years old and, according to the original post, everyone else seemed to enjoy the food at the wedding. He should suck it up and wait until after he leaves to have his precious fast food. Instead, he brought it into the venue, handed food out to others, and left chicken bones on the floor.

Keep scrolling below to see what people had to say in the comments. For more wedding drama, take a look at this post about an unhinged bridezilla.

Parents ditch babysitter with kids and put them on "do not disturb"

Parenting is exhausting; at its worst, it's like a marathon that you run uphill for 18 years with no water stations and no end in sight. That's why it's a godsend when you can find someone (whether a bribed family member or paid caretaker) who can take your child off you for a few hours. Of course, for some parents, this whole time is spent worrying whether or not the child is alright and being adequately cared for — others still might be able to enjoy their time but be relieved when they return home to their offspring.

'Wow, That Was Forward' : Most Delusional People On Dating Apps This Week

If you are one of the many people who have been convinced by their friends to use a dating app, we feel for you. 'Download Tinder!' They said. 'It'll be fun!' They said. And here you are, months into denial, thinking you'll meet your soulmate with the next swipe, or at the very least, a good FWB. Then you're left perpetually wondering why you ever listened to them because their promises are empty. The algorithm is obviously against you (and me, and everyone else) but it's just so addictive, you can't seem to stop.

You are guaranteed an endless supply of super hot people (Has anyone seen a Tinder ad recently? Those people on the poster DON'T EXIST) but it's all LIES. It's like when you know something is bad for you, but you want it anyway. Forbidden fruit and all that. And don't even get me started on the constant ghosting or the crazies… or the FOMO. So let's scroll down to make ourselves feel better that we are not the only ones stuck catching piranhas in an imaginary sea of fish.

30 License plates created by brutally honest drivers

Car lovers, gather 'round - these are real drivers out on the roads, rocking some excellent custom license plates. Most license plates have a random collection of letters and numbers on them, but some drivers opt to create their own vanity plate, which can say almost anything. Vanity plates can't use foul language or be inappropriate… in theory! These folks managed to game the system and come up with some pretty inventive workarounds.

Keep scrolling to check out these license plates that could stop traffic, and then check out these 30 architecture failures that'll make you wonder how these buildings are even still standing.

'Guacamole, runny eggs, sushi - all dumpster food': 30 jaw-dropping, controversial food opinions

Everyone has bizarre food preferences, but some of these are truly shocking. This r/AskReddit thread includes the following controversial food opinions. If you are the type of person who would go out on a limb for pineapple on pizza (gross), ketchup on everything (filthy), and cottage cheese (who do you think you are?!), then you have come to the right place. Keep scrolling below for these screenshots, and when you're done, take a look at these pizza fails.
