Ba da ba ba ba…I'm lovin' these! For those of you who think you know what goes on at your local Mcdonalds, you probably haven't checked out Reddit's r/McDonaldsEmployees subreddit. If you have, you will know that what goes on at America's favorite fast-food chain is far more shocking than you ever thought. Keep scrolling below to take a look at these McDonalds fails. 'My boss denied my 2 weeks notice': Horrible boss uses dumb loophole, refuses to let employee leave the company

This boss is going to make those final weeks a nightmare. She refused to let her employee leave the company because of the dumbest loophole. The employee put in their two weeks notice, but it was denied because they technically gave just under ten business days due to the Holiday season. Are you kidding me?

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/CaterpillarWeak893, who discovered that the initial contract did not specify whether or not two weeks meant two work weeks or two calendar weeks. With that in mind, as one person in the comments noted, this boss can't do anything. It's all empty threats. Our advice is to do the bare minimum on those final work days and if the boss makes it a hostile work environment, just walk away immediately.

'No, absolutely not': Boss losses their cool when employees abuse 'water privilege''

The audacity of some people to want to remain adequately hydrated.

Don't they know? The first rule of the cashier's code is that you must remain thirsty at all times. We're talking parched here — not even an ounce of liquid or spit remaining that could accidentally flick onto a customer's face. But, after a cashier betrayed this sacred code, their boss was forced to instate a ban on all water sipping due to their abuse of "water privilege."

That's insane… right? It begs the question of why some workplaces insist on treating their workers like children. Some organizations have policies put in place as if they're running a daycare, and management attitudes reflect the same frame of mind. Things like limitations on the time or frequency of bathroom breaks and "water privileges" are sure signs that you're not going to enjoy your time there.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit, and the worker shared their toxic workplace experience. Reactions were exactly in line with what you might have expected, and the workers were quick to condemn the manager's attitude.

Keep reading for the screenshots. For more, check out this insane sign that was posted to limit employee bathroom breaks.

'That was a desperate dad, willing to do a bad thing for his child': Man shares heartbreaking story of how he turned getting robbed into helping a father in need

Being approached by a stranger in a dark parking lot is already intimidating. You were just trying to mind your own business, and now you might be in a very scary and dangerous situation. However, sometimes these situations, when shed on by a different light, turn out to be okay. For instance, Bryan Minerly recently shared a story on his social media about how he somehow changed his fate from him getting robbed, to him helping a father in need.

'Woke Up And Chose Lying' : Most Unbelievable Claims, Literally

The internet does not have the most truthful reputation. Anyone can post anything and there'll always be someone who believes it. In fact, lying has become an actual day job, where you can get paid… unquestionably well. TikTok is known for people sharing 'wild' stories that happened to them, that frankly, probably didn't happen. Who's gonna do a background check? Where would you even begin to try to verify the source or level of truth? While scouring Reddit, we happened upon r/ThatHappened, where people share the most ridiculous crap that people are alleging happened.

Eyebrows were RAISED. Firstly, how do people come up with this stuff? Secondly, from where do they have the audacity to post it? Thirdly, we'd like to pick the part of their brain says 'Yep, this is believable. People are gonna go nuts'. Well, as usual, all we can say is that it does make good content. And it's super fun to read… Scroll down to see the amusing things people claim happened.

15+ People share the worst holiday gifts they ever received from an employer

Ah, the holiday season — a time of year best spent with loved ones over amazing meals and through the sharing of thoughtful gifts. Holiday daydreams often take you to a place beside a roaring fire, wrapped in a thick woolen blanket — its surprising weight offering a welcome embracing comfort. A warm beverage of choice in hand or in arm's reach (Irish hot chocolate for me, please) completes the mood.

It should be no surprise to any of us that these holiday ideals, moods, and traditions just don't meld well with workplaces. Workplaces are generally stark, cold, hard, and uncomfortable; plus, time at work is often the very thing preventing you from spending more time with aforementioned loved ones. This, coupled with the fact that a lack of financial security can be and is the biggest constraint to many families' ability to enjoy the holidays to their fullest.

Maybe this is why the tradition of receiving holiday gifts from one's workplace came into being: Some small attempt to bridge the gap between the personal and working worlds. These can come in a wild variety of shapes and methods of delivery — and there's always something to be said for trying — but there's a reason why the idea of a bad holiday gift from an employer has become ingrained in pop culture.

Keep reading for this collection of the worst gifts people received from their employees. For more, check out this worker who found a new job after a bad Christmas bonus.

'Must be Jimmy Choo or Louboutin ONLY': Entitled choosing beggar makes wish list while she waits for her first paycheck

The line between entitled Karens and satire is so thin these days. This thread was reposted to Reddit's r/ChoosingBeggars subreddit by u/VillainNotHeroes, and let's just say that regardless of whether or not this is rage bait, we live in a culture now where this materialistic impulse could also very well be the thought process of a crazy entitled person.

This woman posted a wish list to social media that included items she "needed" so she could get by before receiving her first paycheck for her new job. The fact that the top item on this list of essentials is a designer bag but the fourth one is toilet paper says a lot about where we're at now. Not to mention the jar of mayo she needed for her son's eczema being item number seven. Her son should not have to suffer just because she sucks!

'Nothing better than hour long soggy macaroni, it was like glue': 20+ Family members who majorly ruined meals with their terrible cooking habits

There are few joys in life, like spending time with your family, but perhaps the exception is cooking with your family members. The kitchen can get way too crowded, even with just one extra person poking around. As one Redditor, u/RioA, posted on the r/Cooking subreddit, they were dealing with their mom rushing a chicken dish, and turning up the heat to get it to cook faster.

Once you're done rolling your eyes at that line of logic, you'll see that the poster asked if anyone else could commiserate, and yes, yes, the commenters certainly could relate to that. People spilled the tea about family members over-spicing food, leaving perishables out too long, and even straight-up sabotaging a nice dinner. There were so many people who typed out a story of their own that this is clearly a common experience.

Keep scrolling to check out these well-meaning fams who really tried to help in the kitchen and failed miserably. Then, click here to read about these chia fans who are planning to coat as many surfaces as they can in chia seeds.

'I really just want to see the entire concept of AirBnbs in flames': Shady Airbnb host overcharges and leaves nasty review of guests

On the latest episode of Airbnb Horror Story...another host charged a ridiculous $300 cleaning fee and yet still expected their place to be flawlessly clean when the guests left. Now you may be wondering: isn't the whole point of charging a nightly cleaning fee so guests don't have to clean up after themselves (within reason, of course)? Well, that should be the purpose, but really it's all just another scam.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/LandlordLove subreddit by u/milk-sandwich, and at a certain point, Airbnb hosts are starting to seem more like landlords than anything else. If there's a cleaning fee and especially one that steep, you might as well just get a hotel where housekeeping is included and you don't have to clean up after yourselves when you leave. According to folks in the comments, it's pretty clear that the days of "good experiences with your Airbnb hosts" are long gone (did they ever really exist, though?). For more stories like this, check out this one about an illegal Airbnb ring.

'Guess I'll find a sitter': Manager passive aggressively tries to coerce worker into coming into work on their day off

The great part about being a manager of a retail location or restaurant is that you get paid a little bit more than the miserable wages of your subordinates. The not-so-great part about being a manager of a retail location or restaurant is that a little bit more still probably isn't a whole lot, and certainly isn't enough for all the bullshit you have to deal with.

'She definitely made our day 'unforgettable' in the worst possible way': Photographer allegedly refuses to deliver wedding photos with 'lighting issues' to bride

One distraught bride has taken to social media to ask for help getting back photos from one of the most special days of her life — her wedding. As she shared in a social media post, this bride alleges that her photographer is simply not giving her the photos from the ceremony. While the bride mentions that she has about 100 photos from other portions of the wedding, the actual ceremony itself is missing.

The photographer is quite beholden to her contract. Instead of trying to smooth things over and make it right, she keeps citing the contract, claiming harassment, and mentioning moving the proceedings to small claims courts. Maybe the photographer is new to the wedding photo game, but as many people in the comments pointed out: It would have helped a lot if the photographer was just honest about what happened and tried very hard to salvage the remaining photos for this couple's wedding.

Why would the photographer be clinging so tightly to the photos? Well, some people suggested that the SD card in the camera became corrupted, leading to deleted photos. Otherwise, what could possibly be so wrong with them? Now, the whole internet is dying to see this bride's photos…I really hope she gets them! She is truly so patient in a situation that is pretty hostile toward her, as the paying customer. Since the iPhone photos she posted are a bit hard to read, we have transcribed them in the description below each photo.

'A customer called in and complained': Lazy restaurant managers refuse to help teen workers with lunch rush, get customer complaints

Being appointed as a leader generally means that you should be doing at least a little bit of leading: sitting on your cell phone while your teenaged workers suffer the onslaught of a rush is not that.

It's a sure sign that someone shouldn't have been appointed to the leadership position they are in and is instead a living, breathing example of the "Peter principle." Other times the issue is worse still, and the person's appointment to their leadership role isn't due to any previous performance but rather due to the organization selecting its leaders based on untraditional leadership qualities: obedience, bootlicking, ruthless efficiency, an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope — and nice red uniforms. (I didn't expect a kind of Spanish Inquisition!)

Yes, it's unfortunate but true; often, those who shouldn't be leaders curry favor from those who are leaders but shouldn't have been. The ensuing ouroboros of fatuous leadership is enough to consume many an organization.

It probably goes without saying that these restaurant managers fall somewhere in the two discussed categories, and their behavior, unfortunately, isn't all that uncommon in some industries, as demonstrated by the number of people in the comments who shared their relatable experiences. Luckily, an ill-given directive set up the chance for some expert malicious compliance, which resulted in some tangible customer complaints about the manager's behavior.

Keep reading for screenshots of this story, as it was originally posted on Reddit's r/maliciouscompliance subreddit. For more, check out this worker who expertly exploited a stupid belt loop hole loophole.

'Congratulations! You have won the Humbug award!': Ridiculous Karen gets enraged at neighbor for not putting up Christmas lights

Leave me alone, Karen! Welcome to another neighborhood in which a Karen resides and will not rest until she gets exactly what she wants. This entitled Karen insisted that her neighbor put up Christmas lights and accused them of being a Grinch until they complied.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/F***YouKaren subreddit by u/hotshots724, who shared this letter to the Internet's ever thriving anti-Karen community. First of all, it's worth acknowledging that we have well over a week until Christmas. Next, let's recognize that not everyone celebrates the same dang holidays as Karen. The good news is there are several folks in the comments section who shared a wide range of revenge ideas for the Redditor, from putting up Halloween decorations to buying a Grinch statue to building a "giant Krampus." 20+ Signs that mean serious business

It's often said that for every rule, there is a story. Someone, somewhere, did something, and someone else made certain that thing was never going to happen again.

The same is often true for signs; no one goes around posting them at random. No, a sign is only posted with a purpose; just sometimes, it's incredibly vague or confusing as to what that purpose was or why it needed to be a purpose at all.

Well, these signs are here, and they mean serious business. As I look at each of these, I can't help but wonder what the story was behind them. Why were they posted? Who posted them? What was their motivation? For some of these, we'll never know. For others, we probably don't want to.

Keep reading for this selection of totally serious signage. For more, check out this collection of more signs that tickled our funny bones.

Overdramatic Memes and Fails For Those Who Overreact

Let's face it: being overdramatic is fun. Why go through the world as a measured, calm realist when you can be over the top about literally everything? If you identify with this sentiment, then these overdramatic memes and fails will speak to you. Sometimes, you just have to blow things out of proportion to get your point across. That's how you get people to identify with your plight. Other times, it's just fun to be ridiculous. Instead of living every day like it's your last, how about living every day like your problems are unique and you have a giant microphone to broadcast your feelings to those around you? I'm just saying: it's not healthy, and it's not self-aware, but it's certainly entertaining. Keep scrolling below to take a look at these memes and fails. 'I wish y'all the best of luck with this bulls***': Coworker leaves iconic message before she quits

Talk about going out with a bang! Some people choose to quiet quit, some people choose to leave a job without revealing their true feelings, and some people elect to be as messy as possible. This coworker went with the latter option and left a glorious goodbye message to the other employees upon quitting their job.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/ThatDMDemigal, and let's just say that there's much to admire about this coworker's powerful exit. There's that old saying about never going quietly, and there's some serious validity to that mentality. If you leave without making your message known and heard, there will certainly be no signs of improvement after you have gone. And even if there are no signs of improvement, at least the message was delivered.

'Light fuse and run': Chaotic man group-texts ALL of his ex-girlfriends on Christmas Day

Part of celebrating the holidays in these modern times is messaging everyone you know on Christmas Day, usually including a bunch of tree and present emojis. As you open your presents and share a meal with your loved ones, chances are you're also getting a bunch of texts from friends and relatives across the globe. One man named Tom decided to take a chance on Christmas Day…by texting all of his ex-girlfriends.

Who knows what Tom thought when he made the choice to create a group chat with every girl he'd ever dated? Perhaps some imbibing was involved? Tom mentions that he's "lonely" and misses the women, a seemingly innocent thing to say. But as his exes start text-shouting at Tom and each other, it's clear that this is not going to be a warm and cozy reunion

In the comments, people definitely sided with one of the exes over all of the others. Most had a pretty sour attitude about being reminded of their jerk ex-boyfriend - understandable!

Check out this wild text chain, then read about one woman who declared she was going to be in first class… to the chagrin of the airline staff and the person sitting in "her" first-class seat!

20+ People share their tiniest but strongest-held opinions

Whenever this question floats around the r/AskReddit sub, it warms my heart: What is the smallest hill you're willing to die on? The question invites commenters to share their tiniest opinion that they hold very strongly. The answers are pretty lighthearted, and they're always hilarious! It's intriguing to see what bugs people - like one person who really hates the sound almonds make, or another who declared red delicious apples as "trash."

Others were pretty concerned about traffic issues. One person mentioned that at 4-way stops, you shouldn't be polite, but instead just go when it's your turn. If only every driver followed that rule, the roads would be in much better shape.

Once you figure out your own "small hill opinion," read about this entitled woman who had an unsavory reasoning for wanting to dump her longterm partner.

Woman's 'transaction nightmare' of a husband starts charging for the room she uses to work from home

Is this dude serious? He's trying to charge his wife 30% of her wages because she uses a room in their house as her 'work from home' office. Yes, this was his house prior to their marriage, but he had agreed early on to let her use their second bedroom as a home office. To go back on that arrangement so suddenly is concerning, to say the least.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/Emil536775, and let's just say that the ruthless judges of the AITA community were crystal clear about what the original poster should do next: leave him. Clearly, this marriage is more of a transaction to him than anything else, and clearly, he is not taking into account all the work she puts into their place (i.e. doing all the house chores). The moment he brought up this conversation became the beginning of the end.

Pathological Liar Goes So Far That He Gets Cut Off By His Brother

Talk about not being your brother's keeper! This guy learned early on that his brother was a pathological liar, but after years and years of being ignored by his parents about it and being subjected to several serious lies, he decided to cut his brother off.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmiTheA**hole subreddit by u/This-War7732, and well, the drama did not stop there. The original poster goes on to explain what happened to his brother after their falling out, including his brother's marriage, further lies that he told at work and in his family life, and his currently unstable situation with his kids. Clearly, these lies have gone too far, and it's not the Redditor's responsibility to take this on. However, the brother definitely has a problem that needs work.

'Revenge Is Best Served Cold' : Neighbor Get's What He Deserves After Repeatedly Destroying Siblings Snowman

Have you ever had one of those neighbors that just can't seem to mind their own business? The kind of person who would purposely try to ruin something that you worked hard at? If you're a kid, that might be a snowman. Remember how hard we all worked at those? In movies, it looks like the easiest thing in the world to create one of those little monstrosities, but in real life, that is far from the truth.

It takes a lot of effort. Your hands nearly freeze off by the time you're done with it. And who knew that carrots actually had to be bought, and didn't grow on trees? AND WHAT ABOUT THE BUTTONS? Why does nobody mention those?! Where are you supposed to get a bunch of big, obvious buttons for your snowman's fake coat? Let's assume you've somehow made it to the end, and the result is amazing. You look at your snowman and beam proudly.

And then… someone ruins it. Some people insist on being crappy human beings and there's nothing you can do about it… until of course, you are handed the perfect opportunity. Revenge is best served cold, as the old saying goes, and that certainly applies to this situation. While scouring r/pettyrevenge, we happened upon a perfectly petty post by u/XxFireflyxxX that at first brought back some good ol' memories, and ended with us (and a lot of Redditers) smiling. Scroll down to read about the inspiring way he and his sister handled their awful neighbor.

'I hope this addresses your concern': Employee asks HR why new employees are getting paid more, gets ridiculous response

It's as if HR has become a parody of itself! This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/GeorgeClooneysMom (what a username, she's definitely not his actual mom though we can certainly dream, can't we?). The employee in question recognized that new hires were getting paid significantly more.

When they brought it up to HR, it became clear that this is not the first time they have received these types of questions. In fact, their e-mail response was so carefully crafted that it is quite obvious this employee is not alone with regard to their concerns. Best solution? That would be to up and leave. As many people in the comments suggest, the best way to get a proper raise in this climate is to switch jobs. I wish that weren't the case, but that's just the current state of things.

'I altered my uniform to comply': Worker takes advantage of stupid belt loop-hole loophole

We grow up learning that rules exist for a reason and had best be followed to the letter; this gets confusing when the realization dawns that there are a lot of stupid rules that exist only because a certain stupid someone decided it should be so.

This is the case in many workplaces where an egotistical middle manager or woefully unqualified HR worker can make unchecked declarations and decrees that everyone else has to follow. These decision-makers will pat themself on the back for a job well done while they reap the rewards of the success of others, done in spite of their stupid policies; this song and dance has been playing out since the beginning of human existence, and we don't expect it to change soon.

'That's a whole new level of cheapskate': Dude demands repayment after first date rejects him

People are completely divided over date etiquette on this post shared to Imgur! In a text exchange, two people are discussing their date, and one soundly rejects the other. In a nice way! But the other person doesn't take it so well, and demands to be repaid. The only thing? They went on a coffee date! So this dude really cared so much about less than $5…it's pretty weird

Some commenters believe that this person was in the right. If a first date doesn't go well, why should he have to pay up? But others just completely disagree. A first date can be so unserious, so why would he demand to be paid back for a teensy tiny little coffee?

‘You shouldn’t adopt a dog if you're working 8+ hour shifts': Dog mom ignites controversy after posting a video of the destruction her puppy caused while she was at work

Raising a puppy is hard work, anybody who has ever done it know that is a guarantee. That's why it is important to make sure you are ready to dedicate yourself to a creature like that. How much should you dedicate is what's up for debate in one woman's comment section. She simply took to her social media as an outlet to let out her anger after finding her home completely destroyed by her puppy. She had left him created while she was at work, but he escaped. Now, the comment section is deep in debate about whether you should even adopt a dog if you work an 8-hour shift…
