OP's claim is that it's not that big of a deal, and that they've all seen her wearing less. Plus, it's her house, and it's on them to adapt to her lifestyle, saying they could just close their eyes if they truly can't stand it.

So who's being more unreasonable? And also, was any of this necessary at all? It feels like one of those things that didn't need to be escalated on either side, and probably could have been hashed out without the dramatics. But now everyone wants to put in their two cents on the case of the mostly-but-not-totally-naked host.

There's a type of person who is extremely good at convincing themselves that any action they take is reasonable. A Karen will leave a one-star review for a Subway because they had the audacity to not let her in after closing time. A bad boss will scream in their employee's face for trying to take time off after they broke their ankle. These are the type of people who bounce from one interaction to the next wondering why "everyone else is so unreasonable. Now give me your dog." It's terrifically frustrating to deal with a person like this. But as a spectator? Oh baby. It's absolutely riveting seeing the gears turn in a person's head as they refuse to accept the notion that it might be irrational to try and return a Christmas tree in June because it died. That's just beautiful. 

Never change, entitled people. We wish you would, but everyone knows you won't.

Old School Runescape Memes to Fill Your Bones With Nostalgia

Every afternoon when I got home from school I'd rush through the door, scattering my things on the floor, and pound down the stairs to the basement on a beeline towards the family computer. After five minutes of the dial-up modem doing its thing and another fifteen minutes to load into the game, I had a whole new world at my fingertips. Time was of the essence as every moment I spent in Gielinor was a moment that my mother couldn't spend on the phone talking to her sisters. 

Due to the obscene loading times our prehistoric computer and early-internet dial-up provided, world-hopping wasn't an option. I was locked into whatever world I selected on the day. This meant that killing chickens and cows for their feathers and hides (big loot back in the day) had to be done on an entirely different playing session than when I went to trade them at the Varrock North Bank on World 2. 

Progress was slow and inefficient in those days, even for a game where level 92 is only half the experience you need to get to level 99. Min-maxing wasn't a phrase that had even occurred to us and even getting a full set of Rune Plate Armor was a flippin' big deal. We'd almost never venture into the Wildy with gear for fear of losing weeks worth of work. But I'll be damned if those weren't some of the best days of gaming I ever had. 

As we aged the game did too, and it became more about min-maxing experience gains, training up pures for PVP, and hoarding some actually good loot. The game entered, and then quickly passed, a golden age… With the introduction of a slew of updates that would take the game in new directions and tear the community asunder. 

Luckily, eventually, the developers came around and gave us Old School Runescape (OSRS). A classic rewind of the golden era of the game that receives active development to take it in new "What If?" directions. Alas, my main remains locked into, and untouched, in the original game. And I've yet to return to the grind of OSRS, outside of logging on every now and then to smack a couple of giants with a scimitar.

The audacity to think that you can think that you have the authority and skill to rewrite an entire dress code overnight… And the incompetency of this employer to just allow that to happen. Those two things are the wood and gasoline that were necessary to start this bonfire. All that was needed now was a little spark. 

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by the executor of said malicious compliance, Reddit user u/TollhouseFrank. He posted the topic to the popular sub with the title "Followed the dress code to the fullest extent."

When this HR Karen decided that she was going to rewrite the dress code. This meant that the comfortable and business casual attire that the staff used to wear was out the window. Instead, everyone was going to be forced to wear tight, uncomfortable, and scratchy professional clothing which was explicitly specified right down to the required materials. 

This wasn't going to stand with this "hefty, very hairy man" and he decided to exploit her poorly written dress code to the fullest extent.

The post is dripping with insecurities and reeks of fractured self-confidence, and he will inevitably lose this catch if he doesn't manage to sort these issues out.

Who knows, he may have blown his chances already with how he describes reacting to some comments his girlfriend made while he was on an all-expenses-paid getaway vacation that his girlfriend organized for his birthday with all of their friends. Like, my guy, clearly the girl has (or had at least) some pretty solidified feelings for you if she was willing to splash out that much cash to throw you a good time. 

Unfortunately, her comments during a party game triggered his insecurities and bruised his ego. He then made the rash decision to leave and now the relationship is in turmoil. The most concerning thing to me here is that it's apparent in his edits that his ego is refusing to move out of the way and he is determined to save face and "feel like the man" in order to prove to himself that he deserves his girlfriend. He is trying to frame the situation as if he is going to decide if the relationship is "salvageable." Bro, you're going to be lucky if she doesn't dump you. 

If she does… you completely deserve it and your own insecurities have ironically eventuated your own worst fears.

When your employee is doing you a favor, essentially out of their own pocket, it's probably best not to try and cheap out on them to penny-pinch your way into a promotion. 

Alas, some people are blind to a little thing called "good faith" that is essential in any employment relationship. "Good faith" eventuates out of mutually fair, open, and honest treatment by both the employee and employer. It might sound, to a lot of us, like a romantic fantasy dreamt up by an unrealistic optimist (honest and fair?), but it's real. When it works, it can be fantastic and mutualistically beneficial. 

Good faith was working well between this equipment operator and his employer for some time. He went out of his way to ensure that things were operating effectively and smoothly -it was off his own back that his other crew members were able to get to and from the site daily. In return, he got a little kickback in the form of his per-diem that he was saving by living out of his transportation vehicle. 

When a penny-pinching middle manager decided that he wanted to save the cost of the employee's per-diem he didn't realize it was going to end up costing the company more in the long run.

Frat Bros Enraged When Girls Organize Group to Keep Each Other Safe, University Steps in to Try and Stop Them

This girl started a group to protect herself and the other girls at her school from the predatory behavior they were facing at parties at their university. Of course, this drew the ire of the predators they were seeking to stop. But, more surprisingly, it also attracted the attention of the school administration who sought to put a stop to it.

Shouldn't a university be trying to do the opposite of what they're doing in this post? The college should be trying to fund these programs, not tear them down. 

The only explanation is that alumni of the predatory groups that they're trying to stop are the ones who are now members of the administration and funding the university. Otherwise, why would they seek to allow the behavior to continue?
