Viral Thread: Mother Gives Family Dog to Shelter Without Telling Anyone

This mother returned the family dog to the animal shelter, an act that has infuriated the internet after screenshots of a text message exchange were posted in this viral thread. The very thought of this happening to the poor teen and their dog breaks out heart. It's astounding how cold and callous some people can be.

The screenshots were shared on Reddit's r/MildlyInfuriating subreddit by Redditor u/Bucket0fMilk, who is reportedly the son of the mother in the text message exchange.

Despite doubts from some commenters regarding whether or not the events of the thread were falsified or not, we have been unable to verify. A quick reverse image search of the dog that was posted by the original poster turns up nothing, which suggests that the photo at least is original content. The original poster was quick to defend themself in the comments whenever other users expressed their doubts.

"Ok, Detective, you assume that. But if I don't know what to tell you, then I'm sorry you feel that way" the original poster responded to one suspicious commenter. "If I really wanted karma, I probably would've made the story more dramatic and [said] that she murdered him."

"I'm good man I could never 😭SHES scary and also kicked me out too many times," they also commented, adding some context to their situation. "As of rn, she's the only source of having a roof over my head, but as soon as I turn 18 I'm gonna be out."

Other commenters expressed their undying rage for the mother's actions.

"I don't want to insult your Mum but the 'oh well' was cold," said Murky-Knowledge-7726.

"That's the kind of attitude that results in kids not ever visiting or calling when they've grown enough to choose who they keep in their lives," responded MonoclePenguin.

"I do want to insult her. She's an f-ing sociopath," another user, sourpower2020, responded.

Another user, TheMagarity, shared their own traumatic story.

"One day I couldn't find my cat. Searched and called everywhere. Mom said she must have run away. Years later casually mentioned that she had taken the cat to vet and had her put down because she sometimes caught wild birds that my mother liked."

"What Paranormal Experience Changed You from a Skeptic to a Believer?" Viral Medium has People Sharing Their Spookiest Stories

Not everyone believes in ghost stories. They're just tall tales adults told us as kids to give us a wholesome spook or maybe to keep us away from somewhere/something dangerous. Cryptid tales, demonic encounters, unexplainable experiences, whatever it was, you can't just convince anybody to believe. Well, whether you believe in ghost stories or not, there are people out there who do and it's usually because of something spooky that happened to them. A viral medium on TikTok who is constantly sharing her own scary stories, called upon her viewers to share their own from when they were skeptics but it changed them to believe. They were thrust into a terrifying circumstance that forced them to start believing. We've shortened these stories down to give you just the nitty gritty spookiest parts of these stories. All these people swear these experiences are true, even if they themselves don't know how to explain it. Sometimes things happen that just don't make any realistic sense, but that doesn't mean they didn't happen… And you know, it's said that once you hear a true ghost story, it's more likely that you will now encounter a ghost yourself… So continue on with caution.

Malicious Compliance: Restaurant Worker Told to Reconsider Having Two Jobs, Quits

This worker was working a second job as a greeter at a popular restaurant before the manager told them that they needed to reconsider having two jobs. When they paused to reconsider this as requested, they decided that the job at the restaurant was the one worth giving up. They went into their next shift in their street clothes and announced that they would be quitting and not coming back.

As much as we love to side with employees in these types of stories, a couple of things that stick out to me with this one that give me pause. First, the original poster admits they were consistently late to shifts at the restaurant… This leads one to think that the manager had a point about the original poster's ability to work two jobs. People with experience in the service industry will know what I'm talking about here… If they weren't showing up on time, you're just making it harder on the other workers who have to pick up the slack, and it clearly wasn't working out. It doesn't matter if it's your first, second, third, or fourth job; you've made an individual commitment to that organization and need to honor it.

Then, quitting without notice, or even finishing their shift, just because they've been asked to reconsider having two jobs? Pssh, come on. This is one instance where the employer was probably better off without them.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/JJayHawk84 where they shared their story with the popular sub.

Commenters felt differently than I do here and voiced their support in the comments.

"Good on you," said Own-Cupcake7586. "Employers who don't value their employees don't deserve to keep them."

"But how will you survive the rest of your life without free salad and breadsticks? /s" quipped dwillphx.

What do you think? Was the employer in the wrong? Did they have a point here?

Funniest Major Dating App Fails and Memes We Saw This Past Week

Dating apps are for people who are ready for the unexpected. There are definitely certain things one can expect to see while swiping endlessly, a couple of hotties, a couple of uncomfortable messages, a couple of catfishes perhaps, and a couple of people refusing to show their face. Sure, we become desensitized to such occurrences, but often you come across a fail that is so strong that you are left with no choice but to screenshot and share. And honestly, we see nothing wrong with that, as long as you keep the person's identity decently hidden. You don't have to include the photo, although they can often be cringy. People usually tend to go crazy in the written section of dating apps.

Some people overshare, some people come off as super angry for no reason, some people have spelling mistakes, and some people just clearly need help. But hey, we've all been there. Now, without further ado, let's get into these dating app fails.

The Choosing-est Beggars of the Week and Their Stupid Demands (Aug 11, 2022)

There are a whole lotta people in this world who want and think that they are entitled to something for nothing. They want everything and are willing to give very little in return. These entitled individuals and choosing beggars are quintessential narcissists and have very little, to no, regard for other people. In their world, they are the main character and are the only thing that matters. All of the rest of us are just NPCs who are here to give them random stuff for free and unearned rewards for side-quests.

"I also jack my price when people start asking if they can get something or nothing," Tweakywolf responded in a thread about the first choosing beggar on this list.

And they're not wrong; one of the best ways to deal with these types of people is to charge them more for their stupid ways. It's nothing worth getting mad over, they aren't worth the time and energy. Have a little fun with it and make a game out of dealing with these entitled people instead.

Greatest Hits: IT Head Steals Important Email Address, Sets Off Chain of Events That Get Them Fired

An IT Head saw fit to swipe a long-held email address which set off a domino effect that led to their excusal from their position. What is it with power that makes it go straight to some people's heads? So many new managers see fit to exert their dominance over their subordinates as soon as they have a shred of power to wield.

This has been one of the top stories that we have seen come out of Reddit's r/talesfromtechsupport subreddit this year and, as such, it was well worth a revisit. The thread was originally posted to Reddit's r/talesfromtechsupport subreddit by u/Lorix_In_Oz. They shared their story with the title "When a new IT department head steals the prestige e-mail address from long time employee and lives to regret it."

Readers started some discussion in the comments.

"If someone ever said 'It receives all the critical alerts and I'm happy to deal with them,' why the f--k would you want to get involved in that," said someonehasmygamertag.

"Bc they crave attention that they can not achieve on their own merits, I'd say..." responded SirIsildur.

"Nothing better than giving someone enough rope to hang themselves if they ask for it," commented bkaiser85.

"Glad "Joe" got his email back but gosh the current email address rule is ridiculous. Is department AND country code really necessary?" queried emmerzed.

"It made sense in the sense that you could gauge from the e-mail address which region the person was coming from. By the time I joined the company had multiple global offices as well as remote staff in different countries, so it made sense to have an e-mail address like joe.bloggs@it.us.company.com or tom.smith@sales.uk.company.com," responded the original poster.

Unprofessional Work Memes for People Constantly Touching Up Their Resignation Email

Work is an interesting place. Some days you might find that you don't mind your job at all. You got a nice night of sleep the night before and you realize, hey, it isn't too bad to feel productive every once in a while. A little routine never hurt nobody.

But let's be real, those kinds of days are pretty rare. Most days, especially if you didn't get a proper night of shut-eye, you slowly feel your youth passing you by. No big deal. But one of the best ways to give yourself a break from what feels like a never-ending work day is to look at some silly work memes. And guess what? We have a plethora of them to share with you. So sit back, relax and enjoy these very unprofessional work memes. Perhaps you'll relate, or not, either way we'll keep sharing them with you each week.

Entitled Marketplace Karen Loses It

After listing their dining set on Facebook Marketplace this would-be seller didn't expect that they'd be accosted by a wild marketplace Karen. This Karen was feral for the set and didn't appreciate not receiving instant replies to her requests; she proceeded to irrationally lose her marbles with a string of entitled messages to the seller.

We've said it before, and we'll say it again… Selling used goods on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or any other free equivalent platform is pretty easy… but dealing with people is incredibly hard.

This thread was shared on Reddit's r/EntitledB*tch subreddit by Redditor u/QueasyTraditions, who shared the screenshots in a thread titled "Angry Facebook Marketplace Person." At the same time, it remains unclear whether this was their original content; we will attribute credit to them.

The Top Tinder Moments of the Month (August 10, 2021)

Welcome to the return of "Top Tinder Moments," a collection of some of the best and worst of online dating.

It's not secret that online datingis a tumultuous experience rife with the suffering and strife of dealing with wildly unstable individuals and egotistical, entitled maniacs.

Often, any attempt at real or casual conversation is mercilessly interrupted by some rude suggestion or demand. It's bizarre what some people think is grounds for discussion.

There seems to have been an even greater number of downright rude responses and unprovoked insults this month. Some people don't know how to behave reasonably or treat other people.

Take Travis in #15. Why on earthwould you offer yourself as a dog lover "taking dog mom applications" only to respond like that when someone gives you an on-topic opening line?

Enjoy this edition of Top Tinder Moments. This edition has some of the hottest trending Tinder memes, profiles, and conversations floating around online over the last month. As always, there's a heavy dose of fresh content, but the occasional 'classic' tends to inevitably pops up too.

Arrogant Boss Tries to Trick Worker Into Extending Notice Period, So He Walks Out Almost Naked

When this arrogant boss tried to trick this teen into extending their notice period and demanded they return their work uniform, the teen had put up with enough and walked out of the store in their boxers. This surprised the boss so much that it was reportedly a story that they told for years afterward.

This thread was posted to r/MaliciousCompliance by u/sominik92, who shared their story to the popular sub with the title "Can't quit my job if I'm taking the uniform home? Guess I'm leaving naked."

Readers were sure to share their disdain for the boss's attitude in the comments.

"Imagine being so up your own a$$ that you drunkenly rant about a teen you exploited getting sick of your shit and quitting...for years after it happened," said Disig.

"Should've run out past the customers screaming, 'No, I won't work naked. Screw you old pervert!'" suggested CoderJoe1.

"Thinking back I wish I had been that clever ahah," responded the original poster.

Guy Loses It When His Date Orders, Then Eats, A Sizeable Salad

A woman received this message from her first date telling her that he thought they were incompatible because of the way she had eaten her salad during the date. Her date explained that the way she ate her salad was "greedy" and wasn't "ladylike."

Screenshots of the text exchange were posted to Reddit's r/mildlyinfuriating subreddit by Redditor u/Ryanfunroe. It's pretty safe to say that these text messages are not their original content and have been reposted by the user, but we were unable to verify this.

It's incredible, the arbitrary rules that we have somehow managed to create for first dates. What's wrong with just being yourself and seeing if things work out? Why have we invented all of these insane hoops to jump through? I mean, sure, it's important to make sure you put your best foot forward for any first impression. Still, we tend to make things like this so needlessly complicated, especially when it comes to dating.

Readers expressed their resentment toward the date's attitude in the comments.

"God forbid you eat like a normal person and require energy to survive," said Sexy_McSexypants.

"Hmm, that block button lookin' good," remarked CPTGojira.

"As good as the salad?" another user responded.

"'You was pose to havw butterflies' - just this sentence alone would make me want to never speak to this person again," user sheenuts pointed out.

Glassblower Gets Revenge on Blatantly Misogynistic Customer By Sneakily Making His Order in His Wife's Favorite Color

Coming across horrible customers is just part of the trade when you run your own business. Knowing how to handle these kinds of customers is quite the art form that takes years of practice to perfect. And then being able to gracefully handle these rude customers AND get justice served while do so? Well that's straight up a super power. This glassblower reenacted a moment where she was able to do just that. She received an order that was so glaringly, obviously, blatantly misogynistic that she had to take action. Her little sneaky tactic was able to get some thoroughly satisfying justice served.

Sergeant Major Ruins VIP Event With Their Stupid Demands

This military audio engineer was told by an outranking Sergeant Major that their help wasn't necessary for setting up a VIP ceremony. They did as they were told and "f-ed off" which led to the ceremony being a disaster.

This thread was posted on Reddit's r/maliciouscompliance subreddit by the audio engineer, Redditor u/tiredbut. They shared their story on the popular subreddit with the title "Don't want to listen to me? Okay, enjoy ruining a VIP event."

Readers appreciated the story and said so in the comments while other military personnel shared their own stories.

"Heck, military or not, this is a perfectly typical audio tech story," said Aaron_Purr. "Happens with regularity in sound-world. The malicious compliance was delicious."

"Brings back so many memories," shared whiteswampoak. "As an E-4, I was once dismissed when I explained that setting up about a million dollars of sensitive electronic equipment on the bare ground wasn't a good idea. In perfect weather, this should have not been on the ground, but even worse that the location was in a depression, with several days of storms in the forecast. In my case, sanity finally prevailed though it took a lot of work to find the right person to press this issue up the chain, cause what does an E-4 possibly know?"

The Most Entitled People of the Week (August 8, 2022)

Some people are beyond ordinary entitlement. It's hard to say how they ended up this way, but it's safe to say that it probably has something to do with upbringing and the expectation that a lot of us had set for ourselves that we are the main character and the world is there to serve us. The brutal reality then becomes that many people are far too shallow to self-reflect or consider others. Couple this with social media, "pick me" attitudes, general narcissism, and sociopathy, and you have yourself the freshly stewed sh!t sandwich that is interacting with other people.

"Entitlement is a key component of narcissism," says Darden Professor Sean Martin in his study on the subject. "It's basically the belief that you deserve more — more resources, more consideration, more privileges, and rewards — than other people. Narcissists and entitled individuals can make good first impressions. They are confident in their abilities and skills, which means that they tend to emerge into leadership roles. The problem is that they are also selfish; they make subpar team players and collaborators because their behaviors and decision-making are geared to serving their self-interest."1

It's not all bad, and it's not as if everyone is terrible, but it's undoubtedly the bad ones that stick out in your mind. Every time someone boldly cuts a queue or uses the shoulder to pass in traffic, it's a cruel reminder that these ticks and parasites of society exist. Unfortunately, due to relatively little consequence for these low-level offenders, nothing is done to correct the problem. On the contrary, prevalent practices such as "The customer is always right" feed into these people's delusional realities. So, they continue going about their days being generally sh*tty peopleand making the world all the worse for the rest of us.

Enjoy this week's collection of entitled individuals and let them remind you of the eternal suffering of your existence.

Fail Blog's Top Memes of the Week (August 8, 2022)

Welcome to another edition of our top meme list, all of which have been shared on our Facebook page. We've made it three weeks in a row, which is nothing short of a miracle for our weekly list series.

Here's a collection of some of my favorite memes, but as usual, we're just going to say they're the "top" memes instead. Just letting you know so that when you see "top" being thrown around like it's candy from a piñata, we all know that we're on the same page.

We're also cutting out the whole "meme meister" thing this week because, even though I thought it was funny for the first couple of weeks, I've grown gratingly tired of it. So, we're retiring our dear friend the Burgermeister Meisterburger and using a sterilized list name instead.

The hope is that, as it was in weeks before, the gods of Facebook and Google will decide that this week's list deserves distribution.

For now, it's enough that you lads are enjoying these. So keep scrolling to peruse this week's collection, and please save the ones you like to your collections and share the memery around.

Karen Loses Her Mind, Her Husband Loses His Business

This incredibly rude Karen tangled with a customer service manager who had the authority to terminate her and her husband's lease. When she lost her mind, they lost their lease and their business instead.

This thread was posted by u/Motor-Safety3633 to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit where it earned 19.0k upvotes before being deleted by moderators. No reason was offered for the post's deletion though we can surmise that it was deleted because the mods did not feel that the story quite matched the subreddit's (relatively) strict rules for what constitutes "malicious compliance."

Regardless of how moderators felt, it was clear that readers enjoyed the tale from how they responded in the comments.

"This day will pass [in]to history as the day when Karen REALLY got the manager," replied seremuyo.

"Can't tell if [the] husband was trying to play good cop or if he finally had an epiphany, said Dinlek. "Either way, thank goodness you won't have to deal with them again."

"Honestly I think he had an epiphany," replied the original poster. "Lots of people don't realize this, but when we put you on hold we can hear everything you're saying. I had them on hold I could hear her going off continuously and requesting to speak with me instead. He kept refusing her and telling her that she's making things worse, she needs to calm down and as the call went on he was getting increasingly annoyed by her."

Dickbag Coworker Complains Woman's Shoulders Are Showing... Meanwhile, He's Not Even Wearing Shoes

This rude coworker saw fit to submit their two cents on what this woman was wearing to work while standing barefoot in the office. There's something insanely hypocritical about that entire sentence…

Reddit user u/Longjumping_Draw_864 shared her story on Reddit's r/AITA (Am I the A-Hole) subreddit to see if she was in the wrong for her retort to her coworker. She shared the thread with the title "AITA for telling my coworker I will cover up my shoulders when he starts wearing shoes?"

She noted that her coworker was "giving [her] angry looks all day and when [she] finally asked him what was wrong" he commented that she was wearing barely any clothes.

Commenters overwhelmingly declared that she was in no way wrong for her response.

"NTA," voted CrystalQueen3000. "That was a funny response to his attempt at shaming you for gasp having shoulders. Also, who goes barefoot at the office?"

"NTA. Going barefoot is way weirder and more unprofessional than bare shoulders," said thewalkindude.

Employees Team Up to Get Abusive Boss Fired

When this terrible boss pushed their employees one step too far, they reached a breaking point. They put their heads together and decided that it was time to take him down. So, to the tune of a workplace version of "Goodbye Earl," they started putting a plan into motion.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/ProRevenge subreddit by Redditor u/AradBBC, who shared their experience to the popular sub with the title "Be abusive to employees, say bye bye to your job." They offered a quick update to the story in the comments

"Also I forgot to mention, one of those colleagues recently found his Facebook and found out that he's getting a divorce," the original poster added. "We have no idea why but people are speculating that it relates to this incident."

"Many years ago, I had a boss VERY similar to this guy," commented daylily61. "Not the same man, because my ex-boss was a partner in the (optometric) practice. I HATE bullies, no matter how they're packaged."

Viral Thread: Certified-Idiot Interviewer Hits On Married Woman

An interviewer crossed a line when they proceeded to hit on a married applicant over text message. Screenshots of the exchange were posted online by the woman's husband where the interviewer has earned the ire of the internet in a viral thread.

"This job is my life I'm here 24/7. Then I go to the gym every night haha." Immortal words that pickup artists will preach and teach to their followers for eternity.

Me too bro. Me too.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/mildlyinfuriating by Redditor u/ArchaicChaos, there it earned 41.4k upvotes with an upvote ratio of over 90%. r/mildlyinfuriating is a popular Reddit community that hosts images and screenshots of all kinds of "mildly infuriating" things. Typically it would be photos of the "not my job" variety where small things were misaligned and such, but in recent years the content on the sub has become a bit diluted, and more things such as these screenshots have started to emerge.

"Whoops, I just accidentally paired to the Bluetooth on my 2023 Lamborghini Aventador (MSRP $413,200) haha," joked Antiquorum in the top comment. "I'm 6'5 btw haha. Maybe you could watch me lift after work haha?"

"'I go to the gym every night.' That shit made me laugh and cringe at the same time," remarked Demon_Coach.

"Lol Ik. He was trying so hard to be impressive when she clearly wasn't impressed haha," the original poster replied.

Delivery Guy's Sky-High Stack of Boxes Floods Entire Kitchen in Surprising Chain of Events

We've all been there; you're already having a bad day, behind schedule, and rushing to try and catch up to get back on top of things. All this hustle leads you to make a critical error that you wouldn't normally have made… If you're lucky, you catch it. If not, well, that could be the end of your entire career.

The latter is what happened to this delivery guy when he rushed his delivery and left a high stack of boxes. After he left, the box pulled a "Rube Goldberg machine" or a "Dude Perfect" (if you will) and managed to turn on and block a sink which, in a surprising turn of events, flooded an entire back-of-house area.

This guy will lose and probably has lost, his job. Did he deserve that? Were his actions truly negligent? Perhaps some readers from the service industry know better than me about how these delivery drivers are known to behave.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/KitchenConfidential, a smaller sub that we've grown quite fond of. It often deals with conversations and experiences of people from the service industry. The sub makes for a good read, and we've seen some certified gold coming out of there recently.

Readers did what they will do in the comments and shared their own experiences and thoughts.

"This EXACT scenario happened at a place I use to work at," shared user Ok-Guidance-690. "The only difference was the box fell onto the chargrill. The fire system didn't put the fire out, and it burnt the entire restaurant to the ground."

"Another reason I am against purveyors dropping food off when I'm not there," stated igenus44.

Viral Thread: Employee Tries to Take Mental Health Day, Employer Has Terrible Response

Shortly after their posting to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit, screenshots of this request for a "Mental Health" day have gone viral.

The screenshots depict a conversation between a worker and their employer where the employee requests taking a mental health day, the employer's poor response has earned the ire of the internet.

Redditor u/MehLifesavings texted their boss, looking to take a sick day for their mental health. "Work was really draining the life out of me and was on the verge of quitting," they described in the thread. "I asked for one mental health day, and he responds with this[.] I found it disrespectful but just left him on read and still took the day off."

The response they received was less than receptive to the idea.

"I've noticed something not right with you," their boss's response began. "I don't know what kind of mental issues you're going through, but sitting around thinking about it all day will not help you… That's just my opinion, but it's up to you."

The response evokes images of Boxer from Orwell's "Animal Farm," working himself into the ground before being sent off to the glue factory. "I will work harder," he says as he sacrifices his body and health for his employer.

Readers of the r/antiwork thread were horrified at the boss's response but called out the employee for approaching the situation incorrectly. Their initial message gave away too much information, and the uncertainty of the tone offered too much room for the employer to object. Commenters suggested alternative approaches to this conversation with an employer in the future.

"Next time, take the sick day without explanation," said Raineyb1013. "I don't feel well; I'm taking a day. Period."

User u/SatansHRManger offered this sage advice to other employees.

"ProTip: Here's your script for calling in sick, from now until the end of days.

"Hi, this is (your name,) and I'm not feeling well today, going to have to take a sick day. All the best."

And that's it. That's the entire voice-mail or gist of your conversation--you don't need to tell them 1) What's wrong (None of their business!) 2) How sick you are, 3) If you're going to the doctor, 4) Your symptoms, 5) Your temperature, or 6) ANYTHING AT ALL beyond the fact that you're too unwell to come to work that day.

Laws and standards around medical privacy vary, but in the United States, for the most part, your employer can't demand this information and you're under no obligation whatsoever to volunteer it. It's my understanding Europe is even more strict with medical privacy.

So don't volunteer it."

Guy Lands Smoke-Show Tinder Date, Ends Up Audience to an MLM Sales Pitch

This guy thought he had landed an amazing girl off of Tinder for a first date. But he missed all the red flags. It turned out he had actually got himself a one-way ticket to her MLM sales pitch and when he went to grab a coffee, her "business partner" popped out of nowhere like a gopher.

It's a rough world out there in the world of online dating. To go with the recent online trend… She's a ten but tries to pitch her MLM on the first date.

This thread was posted to Reddit's ever-popular r/TIFU subreddit, a classic site staple sub. It was published by u/SlimVali, our unfortunate protagonist, with the title "TIFU by going on a date with a girl from Tinder who seemed way too good to be true and not seeing the red flags."

Commenters had a variety of quips and suggestions in the comments.

"You should report her profile, so other guys don't waste time with this scammer," suggested Steve2606.

"Turn the tables and start offering IT services for their fast-growing business at the low, low rate of 100 dollars an hour," quipped throwaway_2567892. "But wait, there is more. For each additional person, each hour of IT support will cost 50¢ less, up to a max of 50 dollars per hour. Please note this only covered support and not any type of gear, or design."

Alright, enough it enough. It's time to quit. Your boss is too toxic to function. You know why you hate Mondays? It's not the day of the week's fault, it's because your job is soul sucking. The light in you is dying and it's 100% your toxic workplace's fault. Nowadays it isn't about leaving with a bang—it's about leaving with some solid memes. So if you were waiting for a sign, this is it—this is your sign to quit that horrible jobyou absolutely hate and take way too much abuse from. Just send this page to the toxic management in question along with your attached resignation letter and be on your merry way. Believe me, life is too short to spend 40 hours a week somewhere that makes you shutter every time the alarm goes off for you to get going over there.

Entitled Karen Wants A Salad, Orders a Not Salad, Throws a Tantrum

This entitled Karen insisted on ordering a salad. However, the salad she was ordering was, in fact, not a salad. Despite the waiter's attempts to explain this to her, she refused to listen and then proceeded to have a meltdown once her "salad" arrived.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/entitledpeople subreddit by u/nightamethyst, who posted their story to the small-ish sub with the title "Maybe if a waiter says it's not a salad, it isn't?"

Readers reacted in the comments.

"I hate these kinds of people," said FurryDrift. "The napkin in the water was an insult. Cuz no sane person does that."

"I was a hostess at Red Lobster when I was in high school," shared 420saralou. "We would occasionally help out the servers and bus tables and clean the area for the next guest. No problem. Until you get to that table with kids... Food everywhere, water spilled everywhere, like are wolves raising these tiny adults? I make a point to stack my dishes at the end of the table, all nice and neat, the table is wiped clean, ready to go for the busser. I have also taught my kids this rule. This mama didn't raise no a-holes! Everyone should be required in life to work [in] retail, customer service, or [the] food industry. There would be [fewer] entitled people in this world! Rule #1: THE CUSTOMER IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT."

Viral Thread: Neighbor Leaves Rude Note on Car For Parking in Front of Their House, The Internet is Heavily Divided Over Who is Wrong

An exchange between two neighbors has gone viral after one of the neighbors posted screenshots of their exchange online. Responses to the thread have been mixed as the internet is divided over who is to blame.

This thread was posted to r/mildlyinfuriating by Redditor u/kayaniv with the title "Our neighbor doesn't like it if anyone parks on the street in front of their house." There the thread has earned 16.4k upvotes.

Initially, commenters seemed to be taking the side of the thread's poster, who claimed that their neighbor was unreasonable for their repeated requests that they not park on the street in front of their house.

Other perspectives emerged in the thread, with commenters starting to poke holes in the poster's narrative. It all started with the captions that were on the posted images:

"We are both trying to work from home with a newborn at home," the poster notes on the first image. "Meanwhile, our neighbor has a problem whenever someone parks on the street in front of their house."

"The cleaning ladies parked in the shade one day, and that got them mad," the second image explains.

"They lost their sh!t when our nanny tried parking in front of our next neighbor's house," describes the third image. "Her car was 6 inches closer to them than they liked. Again, inches, not feet."

There is something about the tone of these messages that some commenters picked up on that made them stop and pause for a moment. These, combined with other responses in the thread from the poster, started to paint a different picture: "Did you even read my comment fully?" "Read the captions." (Worth noting here, these captions only load correctly on Reddit's App) "You misspelled amuse." Responses like that leave a bad taste in your mouth about the poster's narrative.

It's also worth mentioning the other context clues we have here that some commenters have addressed. Like, do they really have a full-time nanny who drives a black BMW SUV? We just are not talking about the tax bracket readers might first have pictured here.

The nanny drives a BMW SUV, they have a full-time nanny when they are both working from home, and she's parking in front of the neighbor's house every day. Ok, that's kind of annoying. Right?

This kind of thing could grate on a relationship with even the best neighbors. Especially if you've tried addressing it with them peacefully and they're too entitled to listen to you.

If even Totoro kept parking his damn Cat Bus in front of my house, I'd start getting frustrated too. You know?

Not to mention the other issue here seems to be that the "cleaning ladies" (plural) park in front of the neighbor's house. Why can't they park in front of the house they're serving? The neighbor's note even gives us some context here and states that there's room there. Why is this guy so adamant that his servants park down the street from his house?

I can't believe I'm saying this... It always feels weird to me when things turn out this way; we're so used to taking the narrator's side. But the neighbor has a point here, regardless of whether they approach the situation incorrectly. What do you think?
