Scumbag Dad Abandons His Dying Mother, Demands Money When She Disinherits Him

This dad doesn't deserve a darn thing of his mother's money. Honestly, he sounds like the biggest scumbag in the known world. What with the way that he abandoned u/BobbyBukarabi and their mother in an unfamiliar place.

At least his mother seems like she was an amazing human being. Taking up care of her grandchild and his mother when her son left them.

It's a shame that her son was a scumbag right up until the end and didn't even come and see her before she passed.

With parents like this... Who needs enemies? Just add them to the list along with the parents who claimed that they would take their son's money and got upset when he moved it to a new account

Job Red Flags To Look Out For At A New Workplace

Getting a new job is a huge step. You're basically making a decision about the people you'll be beholden to for the next 8ish hours of every day for the foreseeable future. If your options aren't great, it can feel like that decision is being made for you. But it's important to remember that you still have some agency over choosing to not work for completely miserable group of jerkholes. For some of the sweetest jo quitting satisfaction, here's the employee who quit after work messed with their vacation and had their boss panicking while losing money hand over fist.

Manager Goes on Vacation Without Giving Subordinate Crucial Files, Costs Company Key Client

It hit the fan when this manager, u/hollandaisecrabcake, went on vacation, leaving their subordinate in charge of a key client. u/hollandaisecrabcake claims that they gave their subordinate all the time in the world to collect the files and information that they might need while u/hollandaisecrabcake was gone.

I would say that it's probably pretty likely that this subordinate had no idea that they would need this file before u/hollandaisecrabcake was out of contact. They probably had their own caseload to manage and worry about so, especially since u/hollandaisecrabcake is their boss, I really do feel like the blame falls on u/hollandaisecrabcake for losing the client. Yeah, it sucks to feel like you can't go on vacation and it sucks just as much to have to answer calls on vacation. But you need to leave your subordinates in a position where they can handle things without you.

u/tyromania said it best in the comments: "It's your coworker's fault, but it's your responsibility."

Wholesome Memes To Hit The Feels Button

Sometimes all our computers and phones feel like boxes designed to make us angry and scared. That's a shame, since they can also be tools to remind us how generally people are pretty alright. For every entitled Karen who demands restitution for a kid's bike helmet scuffing her car bumper, there are tons of wholesome memes and blessed images to lighten up the mood. It's at least decent out there. People do wholesome things for the love of the game.

Clever Developer Discovers How to Automate His Job, Now Works 10 Minutes A Day From Home

When this developer, u/Throwaway59724, was hired as an "IT Specialist" for a law firm he immediately realized that his job was not going to take him 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week. Then, when he was faced with the opportunity to work from home, he took his chance and found a way to automate his tasks.

Now he works from home for maybe 10 minutes a day. He says the hardest part of his job is "Performing rigorous maintenance, like restarting [his] PC."

Safe to say this guy is living the dream and has found a way to hack society. He's winning the game along with this worker who negotiated better terms after being stuck working 90+ hour weeks.

Work Memes To Dull The Grind

Red Forman from That 70s Show said "It's called work, not Super Happy Fun Time." And he was right. And then he got laid off from the plant and had to work in a grocery store. The thing about work is that it doesn't have to be as bad as it is for a lot of people. The problem is that many people have bosses whose whole entire job is to make their employee's jobs more miserable. So that's cool. Here are some exhaustingly relatable memes about work.

Trashtacular Moments of Startling Garbage-osity

Variety is the spice of life, but trashtacular moments are the paper bag filled with gold spraypaint, and the world would be a completely different place without it. Probably more organized and less needlessly dramatic, but we are what we are. We stand, mouths agape at the garbage behavior of the world, hoping we don't get splattered with anything. We all have stories, from neighborhood porch pirates to the worst houseguests people have experienced.

Enraged Karen Demands “Your Name” So She Can Report Customer Service Rep, He Does Exactly What She Asked

When u/PUNKeM0N was confronted by a raging Karen customer they approached the situation with a cool and level head. They were asked to write "your name" on a Post-It note so that they could report them to management. So that's exactly what u/PUNKeM0N did, writing "YOUR NAME" on the Post-It and handing it to Karen.

When Karen saw the note they lost their darn mind.

It's no secret that Karen's are often oblivious to their own insanity. Like this Karen who bullied another customer when they thought they worked there.

Customer Cons Front-End Developer, Tech Revenge Ensues

Oh boy does Bob sound like a real nasty piece of work. The thing about Bob's whole immoral series of plays was that he vastly underestimated the lengths to which a talented front-end dev/SEO guru would go to undermine his whole shady operation. To say that the pro revenge was massively effective would be its own kind of understatement. Bob got completely rekt. If you're looking for some more juicy pro revenge drama check out the time that a client tried to screw an employee over by locking them out of the system, and then how it totally backfired

Childcare Worker Gives Her Parents A Much-Needed Reality Check After They Criticize Her Line of Work, Prompts Ire From Siblings

There seems to be this constant desire from parents to funnel their kids into STEM careers. I don't think any of us are surprised that those careers aren't for everyone and often aren't even the best way to support yourself and make a living.

This childcare worker's parents were utterly determined to put down her work until she hit them with the hard truth of just how much she earns. They clearly didn't see that one coming. You can really tell her parents are AH's when they immediately turn to admonishing their other children instead of the OP and cause the siblings to take out the stress from this unwanted attention on their sister.

We saw another AITA post from a childcare worker recently when a babysitter had to call the cops on the mother when she was abandoned with the children.

Manager Sends Insane Email After Employee Passes, Coworkers Can’t Grieve on Company Time Because the Deceased “Wouldn’t Have Wanted Productivity to Slide”

When u/comrade-linux's friend received this email from their company's management they were astounded. Their coworker 'Red' had recently passed away and the team, who was close to their coworker, was experiencing loss and grieving.

Clearly, the company is devastated by the loss of their "family member". Not because of the reasons you might be expecting though. Not because they were a unique human and an individual with their own values. No, this company is just concerned with the fact that they have lost one of their highest sales earners and how their coworker's grieving might affect their productivity.

It's pretty safe to say that this message goes beyond just being simply tone-deaf and strays into 'sociopathic' and beyond.

For more horrible workplace stories check out this maintenance worker who got his company to backpay $700,000 worth of wages they had been stealing.

Husband Can't Handle Spicy Food, Makes Scene, Ruins Wife's Birthday

It would have been pretty easy to approach this situation with a little humor. "Wow, this is spicier than I thought! No wonder you miss this food, I've never had anything like it before" is pretty much all it takes to get yourself out of being forced to eat food you hate while also not ruining your wife's whole experience. But that was not the path this dude chose. And man, the internet let him know it. For another adventure in food, here's the vegan employee who refused to eat a suspicious cake and made their coworker cry.

Delightfully Stupid Obvious Plant Products To Doubletake At

Obvious Plant has made people doubletake for years at their off-the-wall satirical takes on everyday products, posters and toys. The humor itself is surreal enough that it makes us feel smart for feeling like we get it, but it's direct and stupid enough that we actually get it. Who doesn't want to buy a pack of little plastic dead birds?

Outlandish Things People Swear They Saw But Have Zero Proof

It's happened to everyone. You saw something. An event that you couldn't explain. You can't tell anyone because it's just too out there. But you swear it happened. You saw it with your own eyes. Could it be that people are highly suggestable, get their eyes tricked, and often misremember dreams as memories? That's true. And also I saw a goblin. A real life goblin. It started right back at me with its beady little eyes and not a soul believes me. And it was ANGRY.

Funny Tweets And Tumblr Gems To Bust Up The Monotony

We live in the future now, so why should we ever have to deal with hearing the burden of our own thoughts? Something about that voice in our heads isn't cutting it. Our internal monologues aren't as snappy as we'd like them to be. That's why we have funny tweets and tumblr gems to kick things up a few notches. Take that, inner monologue!

Tumblr Thread: The Very Real Cliché Of Bed Scarcity

As much as it sounds like something out of badly written erotica, the concept of "but there's only one bed" is a situation that may of us have found ourselves in. And in the case of one such Tumblr user, a moment of bed scarcity actually led them to a wildly better outcome than sleeping on a couch. For some more moments of Tumblr trying to break down relationships as if they were the plot to the Incredibles, here's the thread on how humans fail miserably at identifying flirting.

A Bushel Of Ridiculously Cringey Wedding Related Fails

When you think about your wedding as a child, you probably don't anticipate there being many, if any, cringeworthy moments. As you'll see in this delightful bushel of ridiculously cringeworthy wedding-related fails, for many this was not the case. Between awkward 'how the bride and groom met' stories, all the way too overbearing MIL-zillas, these fails are as diverse as they are hilarious. The thought of wedding fails always brings us back to the Clergyman from Princess Bride…"Mawage. Mawage is wot bwings us togeder today. Mawage, that bwessed awangment, that dweam wifin a dweam."  If you don't get the reference, we recommend looking it up. If you ask us, eloping is always the answer.

Crackpot Karen Boss Leaves Ridiculous Sign On “Her Chair” When She Leaves For Vacation

Redditor, u/InsideAssumption87, shared this photo of his boss' chair with a note on it that she left when she went on vacation.

They said in their post that, "[I]n order to access her computer (aka cover her work while she was gone) we had to stand or bring in another chair… she would rewatch the cameras at 6x speed to see if anyone would touch it."

There isn't a sign that she could have put on this chair that would have possibly made us want to touch it any more than we already do. Like commenter, u/derekdrl, said, "All I can picture is Homer Simpson and a "do not push" button. I would be fired so fast."

Addictions That World Is Just Sort Of Okay With

Working can be a healthy habit, especially when it compliments people's other habits of being warm, dry and fed. But when you find yourself in the office at 10 pm getting texts about when you're supposed to be arriving with the Thanksgiving Turkey, it might be time to admit that you have a problem. Or maybe society has the problem and we're just feeding into it.

Funny Tweets To Counteract The Drudgery Of Life

What would we do without Twitter? We'd probably read more books and spend more time with our families. But c'mon, who doesn't want to peer into the collective panic attack of a thousand media-addled minds? Books are way longer than 140 characters and we've destroyed our ability to focus. So here are some funny tweets to grind boredom into the dirt.

Preschool Teacher Reveals Owner’s Predatory and Illegal Employment Practices to the Kid's Parents

Preschool teacher, u/ThanosCommunistWife, took to the r/antiwork subreddit recently to share about their experiences working at this preschool. As they tell it, the preschool's owner has been taking cash presents from the parents for holidays and promising to redistribute them. By the sounds of things, these cash presents and other preschool finances have actually been going towards completing the owner's pool at their house.

There's a pretty strong likelihood here that the IRS would have a field day with this preschool owner's finances.

Dirtbag Feels Entitled To Leave "Poor" Boyfriend After Saddling Him With Debt

That is some serious psycho behavior. The weird thing about certain people is that their capacity for soulless class-grabbing vastly outweighs their ability to self-reflect. And that's how you get absolutely vile and vampiric behavior such as this. The internet was quick to cut through this lady's lofty excuses and boiled her actions down to pure selfishness. For some more wildness, here's the stealing wife who turned fugitive and got tracked down.

Entitled Dude Gives Girlfriend Of Two Months Cat UItimatum: It's Him Or The Cat

Prepare to hold yourselves back after reading the presumptuous ultimatum OP gave to his girlfriend of 2 months. In our experience, after two months of dating, things are still pretty relaxed, but you have a good idea at this point if things are headed in a serious direction or not. Regardless of whether or not things are heading in a serious direction, you are still your own independent person and you have the right to make your own decisions.

OP thinks it is reasonable to demand that his girlfriend gets rid of her cat following his complaint of 'maybe having a slight allergy.' Bear in mind that this 'slight allergy' can be addressed with a Benadryl and a glass of water, but that's none of our business.

Guy Sends Tinder Match a Picture of His "Eggplant" and Defies Her Expectations

This guy defied his Tinder match's expectations when he sent her a picture of his "eggplant" and, man, that thing is huge! He should be incredibly proud of the size of that thing.

Thankfully, it's not exactly what his Tinder date was expecting and there may be a future for them yet.

For more strange from the world of Tinder... Check out this guy who got fed up with being asked about his height and changed his Tinder bio to suit.

A Bountiful Heap Of Frog Memes To Inspire Ribbits And Laughs

Hi friends. Frog humor is a central pillar of meme history. From classics like PePe and Kermit, all the way to the memes featured in this delightful compilation, it's clear that froggo humor is here to stay. Frogs are certainly an interesting species and strangely delightful little creatures. From their lil hopping legs to their strangely adorable froggo booties, frogs are hilarious! We can all agree that frog memes have a special place within meme culture. They can be found at all dusty corners of the vast interwebs in various outfits, sizes, shades of green/brown. Take a gander through the internet and you might just stumble upon a ribbit worthy frog meme dump similar to this one!

People Who Quit Their Jobs on the First Day Share Their "I'm Outta Here" Moments

There is a whole heap of red flags in the stories that people shared when they were asked what their "I'm outta here" moments were that made them quit on the first day.

These experiences are rife with exploitation and manipulation which is, unfortunately, more widespread than we may be willing to admit.

Certainly, most of us can share experiences like these from some point in our employment history. What are they? We'd love to hear them in the post and Facebook comments.

Check out this story about a dejected construction project manager who quit after his company refused to honor his promotion costing them a $3 Million client in the process.
