In this busy world of ours, it's easy for things to slip through the cracks. Maybe a pole gets installed wrong here, or some road signage gets misspelled there. Many of us would look at these and say "we better fix that" but another great many of us say "good enough." The resulting impressively unprofessional "Not My Job" moments are indeed good enough, but in a different kind of way.

Life is an uncertain and vivid affair filled with chaos, mistakes, caved-in ceilings and shattered toilets. The world is merciless and as much as we'd like to prevent every bit of misfortune, it's just not gonna happen. Mistakes, failures, errors and blunders are gonna slip through, and we have to learn to deal with them. It sucks, but what other options are there?

An accidental sudden lurch forward was all it took for this dude's bike to turn over at the second-to-worst-possible time. If only the bike was another few inches away it could have been fine. Could he have pulled it out of the way? Maybe. Maybe it's also understandable to not want to be in that situation with a train barreling straight at you.

It takes some kind of real life superhero to successfully recreate a famed level from his amazing video game. We're lucky to be alive at the same time as Tony Hawk. Now, just for people to actually be able to recognize him when he's out and about.

Apparently, things could've been a whole lot worse. Yes, $2 million in damages to a train is not nearly as much as it could've been. Also, the fact that it was in the middle of nowhere, and nobody was injured are two bright spots in an otherwise grim fail.
