We love when local Karens make up rules for the whole community to follow that simply do not exist. It's as if they live in their own tiny little universe where every thought that comes into their brain is not only factual but law. We've seen this situation transpire before with Karens involved in HOAs or neighbors who have ridiculous standards and procedures for everyone else to follow.
In this scenario, which was posted to Reddit's r/F***YouKaren subreddit, we have a Karen whose daughter was going into labor in a city about 45 minutes away. She was driving to the hospital to meet her there and to our knowledge, there didn't seem to be any complications with the pregnancy or any unusual emergency. However, Karen believed that her drive to meet her perfectly healthy daughter warranted the decision to turn on her hazard lights and to expect everyone driving on the roads in her community to pull over to the side and get the heck out of her way.
Now, she's not a police officer or an EMT, and as we said, there didn't seem to be any unique emergency or complication going on. She just suffered from Main Character Syndrome and expected all things to revolve around her. The best part is that she framed the whole situation through a generational context, so of course, there were a few other Karens in this community Facebook group who backed her up on this. However, it did not take long for people to call Local Karen out on her ridiculous "rule."
