Whoever came up with the 40 hour work week should be dragged into the town square and bludgeoned by vegetables by the angry townsfolk. We simply can't take it anymore! As functioning members of feudal society, it's tough not to get completely burnt out on spending 70% of your life working, recovering from a long day, or thinking about your job. Frankly, most weary workers have a foot halfway out the door and would be thrilled to quiet quit in lieu of another day of suffering. Alas, all we have are our meager paychecks to warm the wood-burning stove and fill our bellies, so as long as the bills keep coming in the mail, we'll keep setting at 7AM alarm to get up in time for our 9-5 grind.
