This guy managed to find a way to get paid during an unpaid lunch break. Here's what happened. His new manager, Dave, decided to step in and enforce a ridiculous new policy in which he assigned everyone lunch times. Unfortunately, the Redditor learned that their assigned time would be during their most productive time of day when they usually schedule meetings and calls.
So rather than reschedule all those meetings and calls, the employee decided to keep them because there's a policy in their contract that any work during an unpaid lunch break must be paid in overtime. After submitting a detailed report to Dave by the end of the week to ensure that they were compensated for that "extra" work, Dave realized just how nonsensical the lunch break policy really was.
