2023 has taught us that most people actually have no interest in self-improvement. In fact, if you've been guzzling disgusting green juice every morning, your muscles ache from pushups you did that one time, and you're getting really tired of dry January, you might have been a little overzealous with your New Year's Resolutions this year. Maybe it was the Christmas eggnog talking, but for some reason, in December, you thought you could change your life habits overnight just by saying that you would when the clock struck midnight. Well, if you're only three weeks into 2023 and already cancelling the gym membership you never really used, you're not alone.
The new year doesn't actually change you as a person and who knows, maybe you didn't actually need changing after all! You're fine just the way you are– 10lbs overweight, an abrasive sassy single, a midnight snacker, and someone who talks smack on joggers in the morning. But that doesn't mean you're a quitter, you're simply accepting yourself for who you are and deciding, affirmatively, that you're not willing to go out of your way to change that. In my opinion, that's just some self love and self care.
