'ONE DISH and ONE GLASS per meal!': Airbnb renters stunned by owner's over-the-top kitchen rules

Would you stay at this Airbnb that has the most micromanage-y rules possible? One person vented their frustration about this very problem to r/mildlyinfuriating. It is just mildly infuriating, after all, these rules aren't the end of the world. But these rules are weirdly specific, and they would definitely be annoying to someone who's just trying to relax on their vacation!

Check out this rules list that is giving "graphic design is my passion." After you decipher these weird rules, check out these 20 inventions that failed so hard they're almost excellent ideas.

‘He Messed Up Big Time!’ : Entitled Senior Engineer Lashes Out at Employees A Mere Months Before Retirement, Cue Malicious Compliance

The minute you are afraid to engage with someone at work because you feel that they will respond in a reactive way, you have a problem. Although working in a comfortable environment where you aren't belittled seems like something very basic, not everyone has that pleasure. Some people's coworkers, especially ones that are working at a company for a long time, feel like they get a free pass to be an AH. Lord knows why… We tend to make fun of HR a lot, for a number of reasons, but when they actually do their jobs, it can save the work environment. C'mon, we're all adults here. We shouldn't have to avoid mature conversations with anybody. But some people are immature and need to learn a lesson or two, the hard way.

While scrolling through r/maliciouscompliance, I happened upon a post titled 'He told me if I had a problem with him, I should bring it up to HR..... So I did' — obviously intrigued to see what the dude had done, I began reading. If you're having issues with someone at work and want some inspiration of how to correctly deal with the AH, take some good ol' advice from Reddit, and more specifically, from this smart dude.

Speaking of coworkers, check out these funny memes that will have you in stitches.

'Cringe Mom Facebook Statuses': Woman Reads Them Like a Dramatic Monologue in a Soap Opera

Oh moms. We love 'em and we are annoyed by our own… They do so much for us and they truly are super heroes for the family. But seriously, what is with their rants on Facebook?? The classic Boomer mom rant where she airs out all her dirty laundry in a lengthy Facebook status, but also congrats her nephew for graduating and thanks her husband for the Christmas gift. Like, if you're a mom out there that likes to rant for everyone to see on Facebook, please, tell us what is going through your minds when you decide to post? That has to be some sort of science project. Facebook is for Boomers now, so you know right after that mom makes her rant public, it gets riddled with Boomers arguing in the comment section. It's pretty while, but we also must admit, it's hella entertaining. One TikToker took to acting out these cringey Facebook rants by mom and it is epically hilarious. Watch them below!

'I ask the SLOWEST coworker possible': Nurse gets petty revenge on entitled patient by making him wait over an hour

If everyone's difficult, you're probably the difficult one! That's what this entitled, passive-aggressive male Karen learned at the eye clinic after he requested to be evaluated by a different nurse when the first one was simply doing her job. She shared her story via this thread on Reddit's r/pettyrevenge subreddit, and oh, what sweet revenge she got!

This tale should serve as a friendly reminder to be kind to people who have the ability to make your hospital visit quick and easy or painful and interminable. When the Redditor was dismissed by her patient, she decided to make things extra difficult for him, especially since he proved to be more than deserving of that kind of behavior. She decided to assign the slowest, most stubborn coworker with the biggest take-no-prisoners personality to take over. What could have been a swift visit lasting under an hour ended up being a 3-hour ordeal, simply as a result of the patient's attitude.

'I...was told “oh but you know only people with talent get in right…?"': 30+ Artists share the harshest critiques they've ever heard

Everyone's a critic, including the very teachers who are supposed to guide students along their path to success. When senior art critic Jerry Saltz asked artists to dish on their worst art advice from teachers, he got some incredible responses.

He posed the question in a tweet, asking, "Artists: Did you ever have a bad art-school critique that really set you back, knocked you off your pins? What was it? Keep it short; don't exaggerate. Often, it can be the least thing. Have you ever made a "revenge" work of art? What was it?"

People shared some cringeworthy and heartbreaking "advice" that their teachers had given them, including a few teachers who suggested their art was so bad they should quit it. Lots of these tidbits of bad advice aren't that mean, but are still harsh words to hear as a student who's still learning. Not everyone knows how to give constructive criticism though!

Judge for yourself how these artists are doing now that they're creating "revenge art" pieces. Then, click here to read all about this father-son spat turned credit card dispute that has gone so, so wrong.

As you scroll through these puns, you might inevitably consider what it is that makes a solid dad joke. Is it the family friendliness? Is it the corny wordplay? The unapologetic and cringeworthy delivery? Perhaps the answer is all of the above. Regardless of what the answer is, no matter what age you are or what year it is, you should know that dad jokes are never ever going away. Even if you're so embarrassed that you make a hissy fit and scream at the top of your lungs for your Dad to stop, he's just going to keep being himself. 'I'm A Genuis!' : Funniest Verdicts By Shower Masterminds That Are Spot On

I am convinced that good ideas were not born throughout the day while dealing with a bunch of issues and complications at work. Take Isaac Newton, for example. Although there is no evidence to suggest that an apple actually landed on his head (To be fair, this was a long time ago, before social media informed everybody of what every human being was doing at any given moment), we are led to believe that his observation of the fact, caused him to develop his law of universal gravitation. As in, when he was resting. Which is the equivalent of taking a long hot (or cold, if you're a Wim Hof fan) shower, while leaning your head against the bathroom wall, sighing to yourself lazily, when suddenly what we like to call 'A Shower Thought' pops up.

Lucky for us, there is a place to share our expert opinions, philosophical ponderings, and general jibber jabber. It's called Reddit, and I am personally a huge fan. You have an endless supply of weird, interesting, creative and stupid content on there, categorized into different subreddits. That, my friends, is where I found these hilarious shower thoughts that made me go 'Damn, I never thought about it like that'. So without further ado, scroll down and check it out for yourself.

In addition, if you're in the mood for some modern hilarity mixed with some old classic art, have a look at these memes.

'It has no effect on your answer': Husband flips out after wife calls out his burger blunder

After a quick trip to a burger joint, this man freaked out at his wife… but was he justified in his annoyance?

Two video creators shared a slice of life in their marriage, and it's really resonating with burger lovers and people who just want to eat their own dang food and not have to share! Patrick and Marwa share their life together on their account called marriedwithflaws. Patrick has clearly just arrived home with a fresh bag of burgers and fries. Marwa has apparently committed the sin of asking for food after Patrick already went out and bought it. Now he has to share, and he is seriously annoyed about it.

As Marwa giggles and records the scene, she caught Patrick's very funny reaction to her last-minute fast food request. Check out the article below, then read all about these neighbors on the Nextdoor app who have no idea what they're doing.

'Send me a picture, I don't believe you': Employee tells white lie to get out of work party, toxic boss asks for proof

Here's a friendly reminder that when you're off the clock, you don't owe anyone anything! This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/Thuctran1706, is just further proof of that fact.

In this instance, the company was off for Christmas but there was an off-the-clock team social gathering that the original poster was invited to attend. Perhaps the Redditor shouldn't have told a white lie that they were out of the city and instead just explained that they wanted to spend the day off with their partner, but what was way worse was the Redditor's horrible boss requesting photographic proof that they were out of the city. That's obviously wildly inappropriate and also just not something the original poster should feel obligated to follow up with in any way. When you're off, you're off! Social work gatherings after hours are simply not a required part of the job unless you're getting paid for that time.

Guy's New 'Netflix and Chill' Variation Has Seemingly Cracked the Code to Online Dating

A guy is claiming to have cracked the dating code with his new opening line for when he gets matches on dating apps.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/Tinder subreddit by Redditor u/Throwawayanalyst96, who posted screenshots of their recent Tinder success.

The screenshots show his opening line, which deviates from the 'mainstream' phrase of 'Netflix and Chill' and instead offers his dates a chance to 'Disney+ and Thrust.' This has, evidently, been met with some solid success as he has managed to get a few match's socials and phone numbers.

Commenters of the thread responded with praise, and several commenters were impressed with the success u/Throwawayanalyst96 had been finding. Others were more skeptical and postulated that some of the accounts were either bots or catfish.

It's interesting how the modern streaming landscape has spawned so many variations of the euphemism. Way back in the early days of Tinder we had but the one option.

One commenter replied with a list of the many variations that have been spawned:

"this is kinda unrelated but Netflix and Chill doesn't rhyme, but every single parody of it does

Disney+ and Thrust

HBO and Blow

Hulu and woohoo

IMAX and Climax

Amazon Prime and Sexy Time

Blockbuster and Cockthruster

why"

‘Quit Lying’ : Funniest Foolish Idiots Who Obviously Don’t Know the Rules of the Internet

AI is taking over the world… well, not yet, but it will. We wanted to begin this article with a bold statement for no reason, so you are welcome to ignore it and move on to our actual point — people love internet clout, and they'll do just about anything for it. Great examples are the ice bucket challenge, the cinnamon challenge, and the famous Tide Pod challenge. Yes, people actually stuffed laundry detergent into their mouths. So now that we've established that there is something very, very wrong with the internet culture nowadays, let's move on to our next point — the internet is such an easy place to lie on.

You can say anything, and people will believe it. Well, unless someone spots the BS and calls you out on it… in which case, you're screwed. Scroll down and have a look at some of the funniest ways people failed on the internet. Way to ruin it for yourself… And while we're on the subject of fails, check out these creative ones where people kinda outdid themselves.

'Go Away Karen' : 16 Coworker Memes That Define A Toxic Workplace

2022 is officially more or less over, and it's been really stressful, trying to meet all the deadlines and expectations that were thrown at us (some of them last minute). Our coworkers may or may not have made life a little harder than it should be. We all have at least one Karen in the office, who kind of ruins the vibe. Maybe more, if you're especially unlucky. If you work from home, that Karen may show up in your emails on a daily basis. It could drive anybody mad.

We don't know why some people wake up and choose v**lence. But as Gandhi said, 'Be the change that you wish to see in the world'. Just kidding, go troll 'em! Better yet, send them these memes. They may or may not get the joke, but who cares? You'll know. As for our New Years' resolution… well, it's more of a New Year's wish, to be honest. We hope Karen gets fired. A special thanks in advance to the Universe.

'I don't pay you to sit in your car': Entitled Karen boss refuses to pay employee for waiting time after she was late

Bosses are always a pain when you're late, but when they're late, it's totally fine! That's obviously a belief that this entitled Karen boss subscribes to, given that when she was over half an hour late to work the day after Christmas, she refused to pay her employee who had been waiting outside in their car since the office was locked.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/Raenoke, and as frustrating as this story is, it's certainly not surprising. We all know that as soon as the Holidays are over, horrible bosses remove their fake smiles from their horrible faces and go back to being, well, horrible. There's an extra level of irony going on here, given that the place of work in this instance is a law firm, and what this boss is attempting to do is certifiably illegal. We'll see what happens!

Impossible inventions: 20 Gadgets that are too weird for this world

What would we do without the great inventors of today? It can seem like everything has already been created, from electric tea-warmers to Snuggies to iPhones

But today's inventors have to have the most creative "eureka!" moments possible. Thanks to the internet, we can now find out about the most cursed inventions that thankfully don't exist. Some of these inventions were created only once with a 3D printer, or just invented with concept art. The world just isn't ready for Crocs you can wear on your hands, or for Internet Explorer scented cologne.

Up next, gain enlightenment from these very wise quotes, which all come from tweets, movies, or TV shows.

'I would like to be paid immediately': CEO tries to withhold former employee's final paycheck until they sign an NDA

If this isn't the problem with startup culture, I don't know what is! This former employee, who shared their story via this thread on Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit, was fired on December 2nd. Their boss — the CEO of the startup — has refused to deliver the Redditor's final paycheck by December 13th. The reason why? Well, the CEO wants the employee to sign a new NDA and is essentially holding their final paycheck hostage until that document is signed.

Thankfully, here's a story where the Redditor knew their rights and threw them right back in the face of their former employer. They pointed out that withholding pay in this instance is already a violation of California labor law and that the employee signed an initial NDA in their original contract. Why were those original terms no longer sufficient enough? After a heated back-and-forth over email, which you can find below, the employee decided to CC the company's investors, board of directors, and former clients in a final display of delicious revenge.

'I hate myself for it, but he kicked my cat': Heroic man fights his drunk roommate after he assaulted his 6 month old kitten

Anyone that could intentionally hurt an animal is a complete monster. Animals haven't done anything wrong and certainly don't deserve to be abused by jerk-off hoomans who think they can get off scot free. One Reddit user recalls a story of the time he took justice into his own hands when his roommate committed one of the most atrocious and unforgivable crimes known to man. After his drunken roommate kicked a baby kitten in the face, the true hero of this story, u/Reaper1868, protected the dignity and well-being of his 6 month old cat by beating up this heartless culprit.

'She had it coming acting like that from a 5 word innocent SMS': Wife flips out after wrong number pranks her into thinking her husband is cheating

One Twitter user tried to text her best friend, only to find out she had suddenly changed her number. One Twitter user who goes by @fayemikah shared a text conversation that went from 0 to 100 real fast after the woman on the other end began making assumptions about her husband's extramarital activities.

As Mikah explains in a hilarious thread, she thought she was texting her friend, simply asking, "Can I have ur opinion". From that, she soon realized that her friend had changed her number. But since the woman on the other end of the phone was so rude and overdramatic, Mikah decided to have a little fun and play a prank on her. I wonder if this marriage can survive!

Scroll down to read about this dramatic text-gone-wrong. Then, check out this wild tale of a student who got the best revenge on an awful teacher by using her own words against her.

Friends Lock Dude Out Of His Own Camper For The Night, He Leaves With His Camper

At an early age, most people learn that if it's not your ball, it's in your best interest to play fair. Cause if the kid whose ball it is decides that they don't want to play anymore, you can't either.

This guy's friend's wanted to use his camper to attend a spartan race. Since he didn't exactly want to relinquish the thing itself, he did the next best thing and drove them there. Then night comes and they decided that he can't sleep in there with them and refuse to let him in, resulting in him having to sleep in his truck. This dude figured that such behavior was uncalled for, and he remembered that the good deed of letting his friends use the camper could be revoked at any time. So he hitched that baby up and left. It seems like they forgot that they were sleeping in a borrowed camper.

Nosy Karen coworker files ridiculous HR complaint, woman gets perfectly petty revenge on her

Karen should have minded her own business! This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/pettyrevenge subreddit by
u/indigowulf, serves as another perfect example of the importance of standing up to Karens when they cross lines. Given that crossing lines is what Karens do best, this kind of revenge may be petty, but it's more than necessary.

In this case, Karen took issue with how the AC directly above her coworker affected the coworker's body/presentation. She complained to HR and accused the Redditor of not wearing a bra. After HR literally asked the original poster to "prove" she was wearing a bra (major red flag alert!), she got some much-needed revenge on Karen by filing a complaint of her own. The fallout was not necessarily as disgraceful for Karen as it could have been, but it was enough for her to quit of her own volition two weeks later.

'Going back to work after the Holidays': 20 Post-Christmas Work Memes and Fails

You know that feeling when you have to work between Christmas and New Year's... well, we certainly know the feeling, and it's not a good one, to say the least. In fact, you feel like you're in this bizarre purgatorial state of limbo. You've just experienced a taste of what real rest looks like, and just as you're getting adjusted to that rest, you have to go back to before as if another brief moment of tranquility isn't about to come again. It's the opposite feeling of calm in between two storms. It's a storm in between two periods of calm. To put it bluntly: no one should have to deal with this, and yet, we push forward and we do because that's the way the cookie crumbles. So, without further ado, we've got some post-Holiday and post-Christmas work memes and fails to keep you entertained during this strange week of work. For more, check out these horrible Holiday gifts.

'Sorry, can’t meet up and help': Student gets petty revenge on partner for group project after she blew them off

Here is further proof that group projects are the worst! This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/pettyrevenge subreddit, just shows how pointless these "partner projects" are in the first place. If people want to actually believe that this is an exercise in teaching students about teamwork and collaboration, they are woefully misguided. What group projects teach us ultimately is that there are people who work and people who leech.

Thankfully, in this tale of petty revenge, the leech here got what she deserved. Still, because both partners received the same collective grade, that revenge came at some cost for the person who did all the work. Getting individual grades would have been true justice, but I guess we'll have to settle for this slacker confronting the fact that she was exposed for doing less than nothing. Keep scrolling below for the original post and the best comments. For more, check out this compilation of school fails.

'How Dare You Spend That Much Without My Permission?’ : Mega Rich Woman Buys Niece Ridiculous Christmas Gifts Amounting to 4K, Sparks Drama With Family

Family and holidays often mix together in a variety of ways. It isn't all fun and roses… You need to walk on eggshells, for the most part, as everyone has their own special set of triggers. For example, maybe you don't want to mention that you're majoring in art to Grandpa, who thinks anything besides finance is a waste of time (This generation knows nothing!). And maybe don't mention that you've been taking yoga classes (our back, guys) to your mother, who doesn't shy away from her brutal opinions about it (It's just a fancy way of stretching! Total waste of money). Perhaps don't broach the subject of inflation (or how much you pay for rent for that matter) with dad because he'll go ballistic.

Now, as if that weren't enough, you've also got a lot of thinking to do when buying Christmas gifts. Yeah, we're aware that Christmas is (finally) over, but some family drama ensues all the same. While scouring Reddit, I came across a post on r/AITA that I honestly can't really form an opinion about, regarding expensive gifts for family. I certainly can't afford to spend that ridiculous amount of money on myself, let alone anyone else, so maybe I'm not the person to ask… But opinions are flying all over the place in the comment section, so feel free to join and judge away.

‘Did You Block Me?’ : Best Dating App Fails of the Year 2022

Man… dating apps are both the best and worst thing that ever happened to the human species. On the one hand, we don't have to approach people in real life anymore. On the other hand… we can't approach people in real life anymore. It doesn't matter if you're looking for a FWB, a relationship, a situationship (as they call it nowadays), or a hookup. It's become less and more difficult at the same time.

Tinder promises good things to those who swipe, but we have yet to reap those fruits. The algorithm is literally against us. Let's say you get a match, begin a convo, and make a date. You either get ghosted, stood up, or the person you meet is crazy. Sometimes you hit gold (pun intended) but those instances are rare. Don't even get us started on FOMO.

The illusion that Tinder creates is an endless supply of hot, emotionally available people. But really, there is just an infinite amount of idiots. So, if you're failing miserably at this little thing called a 'dating app', these fails are for you. Also, feel free to check out these raging LinkedIn lunatics.

'This is a tale of tragedy, treachery, suspense, and triumph': Office security camera footage reveals dramatic secrets of a stolen lunch

Office drama is sometimes the only thing keeping people from spontaneously quitting their jobs and fleeing the workplace. The intriguing pettiness of workplace gossip is almost always passive aggressive, toxic, and downright ridiculous because your coworkers are people you spend literally ⅓ of your life with. Eight hours a day spent with people you passably tolerate is a recipe for some disastrous events. One man named Zak Toscani, a Twitter comedian and reporter of tea, recalls a story where workplace drama came to a head and some of his coworkers got put in their place. The mystery of the stolen shrimp fried rice got solved the second the office manager allowed everyone to weigh in and watch the security camera footage.

'[New boss] let me decide': Terrible boss loses $100M over their poor treatment of a former employee

You should always treat other people with dignity and respect; otherwise — well, they just won't like you very much. That's fine; not everyone needs to like you (and not everyone will), but when these people are also privy to your shady business dealings, and later go on to make decisions for other organizations as to whether or not that organization should be doing business with you, you shouldn't be surprised when they tell the other organization that they had better keep well clear.

Whether it's with renting or with jobs, there's a clear power dynamic at play; tenants and employees often need a reference from their landlord or employer to get another place to rent or work. So, often the renter or employee will put up with things that they shouldn't just to ensure the relationship stays positive in the point of view of the landlord/employer. Landlords and employers tend to forget — and would do well to remember — that while they don't need a reference from previous tenants or employees in order to bring in new ones, that doesn't mean that their reputation doesn't precede them.

Anyways, the point is, in this case, the way the employer acted cost them a big sale. Keep reading for this thread; for more,

'There are some good ones': Landlord REDUCES rent as a gift to tenants for the Holiday season

Whoever said landlords are all scum hasn't met this one! For some rare Holiday cheer on FAIL Blog, we gift you all with this surprisingly wholesome story about a landlord being a decent human.

This thread was shared on Reddit's r/LandlordLove subreddit by u/the_smollest_bee. While people in the comments section didn't necessarily have the same glowing reviews of their landlords, there was some nice sense of solidarity knowing that someone, anyone was shown mercy by theirs. In this instance, in the spirit of the Holiday season, this landlord decided to reduce his tenant's rent by $200. On a separate note, Redditors in the comments section could not resist dragging the tenant for having 574 missed text messages while also currently being on the phone with extremely low battery. This tenant sounds like chaos. Of all people to be lucky enough to have a nice landlord, why does it have to be this tenant?

'To this day, I still have no idea why the teacher treated me this way': Cunning teen claims to get teacher fired with her own words

Think of your worst teacher ever, and imagine the satisfaction of getting them fired. Well, this kid lived out everyone's dream, as he shared in a popular post that garnered plenty of praise for him and condemnation for his teacher. He basically had a teacher who would constantly put him down, including with some horrific insults that are just straight-up bullying. So he decided to get back at her using her own words, and it turned into an absolute s***show for the teacher, Ms. Frank.

Check out the whole story below - it's a wild ride! Then, the commenters shared a few of their own bad teacher stories. And after that, check out this unbelievable Christmas card fail that will have you smiling from ear to ear.

'There is nothing else we can do': Best retail boss cleverly handles an angry customer

There is no shortage of delusional and angry people in this world, and when you're working retail it can sometimes feel like all of them have decided to visit you on the same day.

'Don't You Dare Snap Your Fingers At Me!' : 2 Wildly Entitled Karens Wrongly Go After Woman Who Isn't Actually An Employee, Spark Major Conflict As A Result

Woe to those who encounter a Wild Karen in their lifetime. If you've ever entered a Wallmart or a fast food restaurant such as Mcdonald's, you'll find that it's basically unavoidable. We often find ourselves wondering… what goes on in a Karen's mind when things don't go their way? How does their brain scan look? And where the heck did they get the courage (or rather, audacity) to approach others in such an entitled fashion? We may never have the answers to all these important questions, but we can (and must!) fight back.

Am I being dramatic? Maybe. But rest assured, not as dramatic as a Karen. While scrolling mindlessly through Reddit, I came across a post on r/IDontWorkHereLady that spoke of not one, but two Karens caught in the wild. As my eyes continued devouring the text before me, I stopped for a second — appalled. I always find it shocking when people think they can get up in each other's space. To be frank, if anyone were to snap their fingers at me, I'd most likely wreak complete and utter havoc. Especially if I didn't work in the place that I was assumed to work at. To see how others might react, scroll down and have a look for yourself.

'Our employees are like a family': 30+ People share their biggest job application red flags

Job searching is an exciting and frustrating experience for many folks, but luckily, some Redditors are sharing their best tips to avoid working at a shady business. There is some really good advice here in the comments under this post from r/recruitingh***. For example, if a company advertises a job as "remote" but then requires you to be in a certain city? Bye! Others suggested phrases to stay away from, like "additional duties as assigned." You really could dodge a bullet by following this sage advice

'There was so much damage': Raging Karen trashes tattoo parlor, gets arrested

There is no shortage of entitled people in this world, but some people take normal entitlement and turn it up to 11. These 'Super Karens' have a power level of over 9000, and there's no stopping them in their tirade against the world. Anyone who has worked in customer service, or any role where you deal with the public, has, unfortunately, come into contact with at least one of these people, and each one leaves the mental scarring of an experience that you won't soon forget.

This Karen somehow managed to make her way into a tattoo parlor, despite being utterly confused about the service she had received, which made it seem as if she had probably come to the wrong place. Over the course of an unforgettable interaction, this tattoo artist witnessed one of the biggest customer meltdowns in history. When they left for lunch, they came back to find the place, and their car had been trashed. The most insane part of all of this? The Karen had left her personal address, which made her easy to locate for the police.

‘Eliminate toxic friends’: 20+ blunt pieces of advice to avoid regrets in your 30s and 40s

Everyone, take notes! Whether or not you want to admit it, there are times in life when your elders may actually know what's best. In this instance, this AskReddit thread, which was posted by u/Professional_Lab7394, contains a wide variety of advice to twenty-somethings to avoid a life of regret in the ensuing decades. As a twenty-something nearing the end of this chaotic decade myself, I have to confess that as much as it pains me to read these, there is unfortunately a lot to learn. The number of people that mentioned taking care of your teeth or exercising more probably exceeds the number of times I've brushed my teeth for a full two minutes this year or the number of miles I've run all year (let's be honest, all decade). As for relationships, it seems like there's a common thread here and that's to stop doing what you already know is wrong. Seems like simple advice, but it clearly bears repeating. Keep scrolling below for more. Once you're through that, take a look at these crazy job interview stories.

21 Creative Fails To Make Up For The Lack Of Serotonin

Some of the most creative things we'll ever come to find are on the internet. Reddit is literally one of the most entertaining sites on the web, and never fails to bring us some of the funniest content. And now, finally, the weekend has descended upon us, and we can take a chill pill. It was a ridiculously long week at work, and all we want to do is sit ourselves down on the couch and not move, preferably ever again. Maybe flick through the different channels on TV, order some Chinese takeout (or Pizza) and go to sleep early. Bonus points if we're lucky enough to have a dog's companionship.

While scrolling through r/funny, we happened across some hilarious fails (or maybe wins? Depending on how you look at it) and decided to share our findings with you. Check it out down below. Plus, if you want even more of a good laugh, feel free to click here for some hilarious memes.

20 Memes for the haters and their motivators

You're always going to be the villain in someone's story. It's impossible to go through life and not gain a few haters along the way. People will see you doing well and get jealous. Or, you might annoy someone and they just decide they don't care for you anymore. Life is funny like that. Check out this fine collection of memes about and for the haters, who remain our motivators!

Top 20+ 'Screw You' Gifts for Passive Aggressive Gift Givers Everywhere

We've all given and received at least one horrible Holiday gift, but what are the worst ones? If you scroll below to see what people had to say in the comments section of this r/AskReddit thread, you may be shocked to see what some people have been gifted. Highlights include the following: (1) Punishing parents of young children by getting their kids gifts that make substantial amounts of noise; (2) wildly outdated things like Axe Body Spray or a Blockbuster gift card; (3) straight-up regifting what you were given last year (raise your hand if you've done that in the past). Regardless of whether or not you have given or received a gift like this, this just goes to show that Holiday gifts are not only an opportunity to be thoughtful and kind, but they are also an opportunity to be petty and passive-aggressive. The irony of that duality is something so special and so specific it could only occur on Christmas day. For more, check out these top 20 Karens of the year.

Professor says research paper isn't long enough, so student gets one published to a history journal

There are times in our lives when we face the challenge of someone who holds authority over us. This challenge may not be totally fair — or even sensical — but it necessitates a response all the same. We then have a choice at that point, do we rise to the challenge? Or find another path?

This student decided to rise to their professor's challenge when they were told that their paper wasn't long enough, despite being within the required length range. When the time for the next paper rolled around, the student put in a ton of extra work in order to craft a 29-page essay. This essay was so comprehensive that it earned them top marks from the teacher, who then suggested that they submit it to a research journal.

The student clearly thinks they have executed glorious malicious compliance here. But have they really achieved malicious compliance if it was the teacher's intention all along to get them to rise to the challenge?

‘Don’t You Dare Press Charges, And Stop Documenting My Daughter's Behavior’ : Crazy Landlady Freaks After Video Footage of Her 45 Year Old Daughter Vandalizing Tenants Property Surfaces

Every year, the amount we pay for rent, food, and other necessities just keeps getting higher. We really don't need any additional craziness added to the already bubbling mix of bizarre crap we endure on a daily basis. But alas, there will always be someone out there who will be determined to make our lives harder. Sometimes, if not often, it's our landlord/lady. This particular story is giving out a bad vibe. You know how in horror movies, you see the main character doing stupid crap they shouldn't be doing? Ahem, for example:

At midnight (duh), the lights begin to flicker… They make a bunch of confused faces, that amplify when the noises begin. Screeeeeech… it comes from the basement (of course). They hurry to get a flashlight, because it is somehow more visually appealing than a smartphone, and begin the dreary way down the creaky steps, shining the light down below where you may or may not see some unclear creature of sorts bolt in front of the camera.

All the while you're thinking, 'WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? GTFO!'. Then they d**, the end. So that's the feeling we got when reading this post on r/AITA. It gets real wacky, real fast. Yo, if our landlady's grown-up kid was in our bedroom and began destroying our property in (frankly) really weird ways, we'd be out of there way before anyone could convince us otherwise.

Accidentally profound: 20 Wise philosophical quotes that actually come from the silliest sources

You never know when a TV show or movie will create an absolute banger of a quote. There are plenty of great examples, of course. But one Twitter user had an intriguing thought, writing, '"I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know
I'll never see" being from a Star Wars show is like "I will face God and walk backwards into Hell" being a dril quote'. The tweet has gained popularity as people submit their own favorite serious quotes that actually come from silly sources. While a few people submitted other dril tweets as their faves, others cited "Batman" and even "Spy Kids 2" as sources of brilliant inspirations!

After you gain enlightenment from the "Spy Kids 2" quote, check out these 35 oddball Christmas trees made from the most random items imaginable.

'When it came time for gifts I got everyone something but her': Woman gets petty revenge on partner's entitled mother by not getting her a Christmas gift

Whatever happened to "you get what you get and you don't get upset?" This woman's potentially future mother-in-law was incredibly rude after the past two Christmas gift exchanges. What was she expecting this time around?

This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/TrueOffMyChest subreddit, should hopefully speak to those of you on this Christmas day who have to deal with ungrateful family members, rude tantrums, and the kind of passive-aggressive behavior that can accompany Holiday gatherings. We salute you all for just trying to stay above the fray, and we can live vicariously through this Redditor, who decided that enough was enough. If this mother seriously thought the past two gifts were "some tacky little trinkets bought from Target" when they were actually very thoughtful attempts at getting in her good graces, then Monster-in-Law has truly forfeited her right to a decent gift. We hope that none of you have had to deal with BS like this during your gift exchanges. ‘An Eye For An Eye’ : Couple Exacts Petty Revenge On Friends Who Didn't Invite Them To Wedding, Drama Ensues

The holidays bring about SO much drama. Whether it's with friends, families, or romantic partners, there always seems to be someone who gets butthurt by someone else and makes a scene. The bottom line is people can behave however they want (free will and all that), but they should not expect that their actions have zero consequences. If you're gonna be petty, some people may very well be petty right back.

While scouring Reddit, we happened across a couple who decided that their friends don't really deserve an invite to their annual Christmas party, after they hadn't been invited to their wedding. It gets a little messy. We don't really understand hypocrites… if you feel like someone isn't close enough to come to your wedding, that's fine. Just don't expect to be invited to their events, either. Scroll down to read about the drama that ensued.

20+ Holiday present ideas for sassy, snarky gift-givers

Shopping for holiday presents for every single person on your list can be quite the challenge. Many families deal with this by sending out a list of gift ideas, and some even send links to the online items to make your shopping easier.

But there's always a few people who don't want to send a list. And then, they get what they get, and they don't get upset. If you're still looking for ideas for some of the sarcastic people in your life who don't know what they want, look no further. Below are 20+ ideas for silly geese giving gifts to fickle friends, and half of them are not even terrible ideas.

'The client was so angry': Pedantic boss costs company $300,000 sale over $0.30 transaction fee

There is a strength in the business world to being extremely particular with how you go about things. Dotting i's, crossing t's, and balancing every column is a sure way to ensure your business smoothly operates — but there is a point where being overly pedantic will only hurt that business.

'Send them out as a power move': Dude screws up huge batch of Christmas cards with a hilarious misprint

Sending holiday cards to friends and loved ones is a longstanding tradition. This year, one man tried his hardest to create his own special holiday cards, and ended up as the proud owner of 90 misprints!

It's not ideal to spend money on unusable cards. But he may have made up for it with this tweet, which garnered over 121,000 likes. People in the comments absolutely loved this card from the Whites.

‘The priest followed up to see if I’d told my husband’: Priest breaks confession seal and reveals woman’s adultery

Is it the priest's fault or did she do this to herself? Our immediate hot take here is…both? This thread was reposted to Reddit's r/facepalm subreddit. In the original post, a woman explains that she went to confession to tell a priest about the one-night stand she had years ago that her husband still doesn't know about. As part of her penance, the priest told her that she was going to have to tell the truth to her spouse.

Well, the priest beat her to it! When he followed up and called her home directly, he spilled the beans to her husband, who understandably did not take it well. Now, this woman is seeking legal action against the priest. Sure, maybe that'll give her some semblance of satisfaction, but shouldn't she be directing her energy instead to her husband and trying to save her marriage? She seems like the kind of person who will do anything to prove she was right about SOMETHING rather than confront the wrongdoing that's staring right at her in the face. Update: 'I just rage-quit my job of 5 years': Worker returns a year after quitting terrible job with an update

In any relationship, if you're not appreciated for your efforts, there's no better time to walk away than now. Of course, when it comes to employment, there are always considerations to be made for maintaining a source of income, but if an opportunity has presented itself for something better, you really should just go for it.

That's what this worker decided to do when they had had enough of their terrible job. They received an offer for a big increase in salary and more flexible working conditions and approached their employer to see if they were willing to match. Their current employer's response was disrespectful and rude, so they made the decision to quit on the spot.

They have now returned, a year later, with an update to share how things have gone for them in the last year and provide a little bit of insight as to whether or not their change in jobs was a good move. Overall, the change has been incredibly positive.

Keep reading for these two threads. The original thread is first, and the update starts on item #11. For more, check out this employer that instated a wild policy mandating checks of employees and their belongings before they were allowed to leave work.

'Stop joking it isn't cute': Clueless Mom tries to ground a wrong number, insists he's actually her child

One Mom tried to contact her kid, but ended up texting with a complete stranger for hours! This man shared his hilarious tale of a wrong number who just wouldn't accept that they'd gotten it wrong. He gets a message asking him to go to the store to get groceries. After explaining to the woman on the other end of the text that he's not who she thinks, she just ignores it. She keeps asking over and over again, as well as threatening her "child" with punishments. This poor guy tries everything to convince this mom she's got the wrong number, and it's very funny waiting for the coin to drop.
