Petty Mother Schedules Her Kid's First Birthday Party on the Day of Her Stepsister's Wedding, Fails to Get Anyone to Show Up

It's the audacity for me! This lady started unnecessary drama and it completely backfired. She tried and failed to tell her side of the story in a way that seemed reasonable via this thread on Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit. Of course, the ruthless judges of the AITA community were not having it.

Let's start with the fact that it's clear the Redditor has a ton of resentment for her stepsister. Some of this is understandable, but one person in the comments section pointed out based on previous Reddit threads that the stepsister's mom died in childbirth, so the original poster's mother stepped up to the plate in a major way. The Redditor clearly never got over this. As for the birthday/wedding fiasco, there is no question that the original poster scheduled this on purpose and refused to budge just to create more drama for the sake of it. Thankfully, no one seems to be entertaining her ridiculous scheming. Keep scrolling below to see the full post!
