What this family needs is therapy. And a lot of it at that! This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/Lost-Passage9681, who opened up about a recent fight with his wife over their son's social media post. It all started with a request: the 14-year-old son wanted to go on tour with his stay-at-home dad's musician friend during his fall break. The dad thought it over and ran it by his wife, who initially said yes but claims to think the whole thing was a joke. That's why when their son was all packed up and ready to leave, the mom almost stopped the trip from happening.
After the trip, the son posted a compilation of photos from the tour on social media and included in his caption disparaging comments about his absent mother and how she nearly kept the trip from happening. This post unearthed a ton of resentment and drama between all three family members. Based on the Redditors in the comments section below, there are a ton of different takes on this scenario. Our take is that everyone here needs to learn a lesson or two, from the spoiled son to the distant mom to the "good cop" dad. In short, I would not want to be a part of this family.
