'Now, my email notifications are muted': Employee scolded for leaving early, gets revenge by going off the grid after hours

This annoying VP decided to be a stickler when it comes to leaving the office even a few minutes early. Are you serious? If the work gets done well, what's the issue? As you can tell, we already have our opinions on this matter.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/Gloglibologna, who shared that in retaliation, he and his fellow employees decided to mute their email notifications such that they are not reachable as soon as the clock hits 5:01 pm. This is especially damaging to the horrible boss in question because apparently, he tends to only send emails to his employees after work hours. Looks like another classic case of a boss not realizing that if they want to enforce strict policies, they're going to need to follow the same rules as well.
