We love when a teacher puts their foot down, but at what cost? This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/Swimming_Sugar3361, who shared her story about the trials and tribulations of getting her son to miss class to participate in the high school pep rally. Her older son, who helped organize the rally, injured himself and could no longer dance. Mommy seemed to think it was a great idea to have her younger son participate, clearly against the older son's wishes. She got everyone else involved in the pep rally excited about it. This woman is a Stage Momster in the making.
Her big obstacle, however, was the teacher who had assigned a test for the 6th grader the same afternoon as the rally. We appreciate teaching your students to follow up on certain commitments, and we believe this Mom needed to be humbled slightly. However, I'm not sure this was a battle worth choosing. The kid's going to miss the test no matter what and it's only 6th grade. You get the sense that both adults in this situation were on power trips. Keep scrolling below for the full story!
