People love talking about how great they are. The thing is, talking about how awesome you are at something and actually being good at it aren't necessarily linked. Every lie incurs a debt to the truth, and when that truth comes out in startling, public fashion it just makes it that much nicer to witness. Not only do we owe it to other people to actually be basically honest about things, but people can tell when you're being cocky. And every time a guy walks around like he's Liberace talking about how he could smoke anyone at bowling, it's almost like the universe conspires to conjure up that guy's worst nightmare. There's always a bigger fish, so don't abuse people on your way up, because you'll need them on your way down. How many more platitudes can fit in this paragraph? None. Absolutely none. This is the best paragraph that ever has been and ever will be.
