The hype train of crypto is a seductive and dangerous concept. The promise of easy lucrative investments and "free money" have been a thing since forever, but instead of being called "blockchain-protected revenue streams" or "Non-fungible Tokens" they were often referred to as scams. Would you like to see my certificate of sale for the Brooklyn Bridge?
It's true, we don't fully understand the underlying technology that gives NFTs their "value" but neither do 99% of the people trying to make money off of them. Most of us have simply been fooled before and it's going to take a lot more than a few tweets about dubious investment opportunities to get people to lay down their hard-earned cash on an image that can literally be copy/pasted in a matter of seconds.
