This Karen actually thought that she could just not accept her employee's resignation. Like she was playing a "Nope" card in Exploding Kittens or "Just Say NO!" in Monopoly Deal.
It's like she's playing 4D chess while the rest of us are stuck in our 1 dimensional plane of existence. How come none of us thought of this one before?
Just don't accept the resignation after you mistreat them and then they can never leave. That must have been what Hotel California was all about.
The OP, u/HistoricalReception7, goes on to explain that they are now running their own small farm and have never been happier. Sounds like they have life all figured out.
If you've been stuck working for a Karen you might also like this Karen who put a ridiculous sign on "her chair" when she left for vacation. Forcing her employees to stand when they worked at her computer.
