It's fine to not get a joke, especially on the internet. All you have to do is say "huh, I don't get it" to yourself and keep scrolling. But if you choose to comment "this is photoshop" on an article from something called "The Stupid Times" that says "Breaking News: Earth Destroyed" you have just solidified yourself among the ranks of mistaken people who missed the joke by miles. So congrats, you oblivious person.
