There's a long list out there somewhere of people who significantly contributed to the advancement of society... Like the guy who discovered fire and the bloke who first tried drinking out of a cow's udder.
This coworker needs to be on that list. This 'Office Door Policy' is something that needs to be enacted in offices everywhere. There's nothing worse than getting distracted while you're crunching for a deadline because you spent the last week browsing reddit instead of doing your job. Even right down to the nitty gritty details, like his exceptions to the rule, are important. Who doesn't love dogs, coffee and not burning to death?
This guy is your regular sort of everyday genius.
