Oh boy, too many feels at once. May River rest in peace. Joel Burgess, the Director of Cappy Games, celebrated the beautiful life of River who was the inspiration behind Fallout 4's infamous companion, Dogmeat. In the emotional Twitter thread Burgess highlights some of the ways that they managed to infuse River's genuine characteristics with Fallout 4's Dogmeat character. River might be gone, but she'll never be forgotten. Perhaps this somber passing will give way to a new companion being implemented into the Fallout franchise.
