There's something that thrills the human brain when you can point out something like "Hey, that stain looks like Texas!" It's hard to explain why inanimate objects that look like other stuff are just fun to look at. Maybe it has to do with some instinctual desire to see patterns or faces in things. It's not obvious why it's so delightful to see a potato with a face, but it's impossible to deny that some objects have a lot of personality.
