If you go out of your way to be a generally insufferable human being to a perfectly kind and helpful individual who is working customer service, then you can pretty much count on something coming back to bite you in the butt. Sometimes, people are able to look past the toxic nonsense, but that takes some truly saintly patience. It sounds like this Omega Karen was on such an unbearable level of rudeness, that it was just bound to blow up in her face.
