Bridezilla Tries To Bail On Catering Day Before Wedding

Clearly, this is the kind of contract designed by someone who has dealt with these unfortunate bridezilla situations in the past. In this case though, the bridezilla ended up learning her lesson the hard way. Yeah, we're talking like paying three times the amount that she would've paid if she'd just stuck to the catering agreement as it was set up.

Check out some more juicy pro revenge drama with this customer who nuked a business from orbit for selling them a counterfeit textbook.

1.

Text - r/ProRevenge u/madpandaswag • 3y + Join 1 Bridezilla Catering Rage I posted this on pettyrevenge, but I think it belongs here as well. I use to manage a catering company for my boss while he was undergoing chemotherapy. This is one of my first gigs where I was in charge. The bride calls me at 1 in the afternoon the day before the wedding and decides she wanted a cheaper menu. She and her husband already paid for almost everything and it's far too late to change anything. I told her that b

2.

Text - demanded we either serve chicken or charge her the price of the chicken and she will not be paying for anything extra. I informed her that according to the contract she is to receive 150 steak lunches at a price of 50 per plate and it also states that she can't change the menu unless she does it at least a month before the wedding. When she hears this she flips the hell out and starts screaming at me calling me illiterate and telling me her fiance is a lawyer and they will sue me etc etc.

3.

Text - They end up firing me at the moment and I inform them that the cancellation fee is 90% of the cost of catering (which I was already paid for) and they start screaming at me telling me that I ain't shit and they can get anyone to cater for them and they are going to make me pay for it etc. They end up hanging up on me (thank god) and I had an inkling that I should probably keep making the food incase they call tomorrow and they want us to cater. So we finish cooking and the next day at 7am

4.

Text - he didn't say anything but I can feel how mad he is over the phone. After a moment of awkward silence I inform him that if he would like us to cater the event, he has to do same day catering (which is 3x the original price I charged him), he has to pay all fees in advance and the food depends on what we have available and ready and we also reserve the right to refuse service. He gets really pissed off at this point telling us this is extortion, he already paid for food so he didn't have t

5.

Text - As soon as we got to the venue, before I got anything out, i made the bride and groom sign the new contract and pay me completely in advance (22k) and left to deposit the money. While I was gone they harassed my caterers and threatened someone with deportation even though they were legal. He tried to sue us later and the judge heard the recorded phone calls, saw the contract and told him to pay my legal fees. I looked them up on Fb recently, apparently they are divorced now. Quick Tumblr Thread on Chill Frog Bro

Sometimes it's the small details in life that give us immense satisfaction. What we've got is a pretty smart frog and a dad who knows the value of it. It just goes to show that humans will pack bond with just about anything, even Roombas. The thing is, they can also make enemies out of other things, like this dad and his spite cow.

Text - baltazar-the-evildemonllamma S pangur-and-grim anonymous asked My dad has motion detectors with built-in cameras along his driveway, and there's a frog that has figured out that if it jumps in front of the detector, the infrared light that turns on will attract bugs. So my dad frequently gets a bunch of pictures of the frog jumping around,

He refers to it as his frog, enjoys getting pictures of it, and is always super, super careful in the driveway to check for the frog to make sure it's safe. A goosegoblin Anon. Please listen to me. I would not tell you this if it was not very important to me. PLEASE get me a picture of this frog.

Business Sells Customer Counterfeit Textbook, Gets Nuked From Orbit

It's businesses like these that ultimately need to be taken out. After this enraged customer realized they've been sold a counterfeit textbook, they did what anyone determined to take their revenge would do: they internet stalked that business, and eventually managed to nuke them right out of orbit. It was the only way to be sure that this business wouldn't put any other poor students through the ringer.

1.

Text - r/ProRevenge + Join u/AbortRetrylmplode • 3y Nuked a business from orbit because I got a D- This revenge story is two years in the making and is long, so my apologies. Two years ago I started a distance PhD program. My very first full semester in the program consisted of an intro course which is basically "Welcome back to school. Here's how to do research. Here's how to do APA citations." A LOT of it focused on proper APA writing and one of the first assignments was just doing a simple ab

2.

Text - By this time I was thinking I was out of my mind. I sent a Strongly Worded Letter (tm) to the APA that basically said, "What the hell is wrong with you guys selling a book like this?" They wrote back and did the business equivalent of patting me on the head and saying, "We're sorry you don't like our book." Then I started REALLY looking at the book. And I started noticing a lot of typos. Eventually everything clicked and I realized "Holy shit.these are OCR (optical character recognition)

3.

Text - provided a pirated version of the book." Well, the seller didn't appreciate that and wrote me back a SUPER nasty email saying that my suggestion that they were selling counterfeits was very offensive, all their books were brand new from the publishers, and that I was a bitch they were going to report to the police for slander. Okay, I was pretty upset about the shitty grade, but you wrote me back and swore at me and threatened to report me to the police? Now I'm pissed. I start by looking

4.

Text - This is the part where I went full Internet stalker. I searched for their company name and found it was a registered LLC. I got the address from their state's listing of small business registrations (which turned out to be a fairly nice looking house per Google Maps) then looked up property tax records on the house to get the owner's name. I found the owner on Facebook and found they had a business website listed under a completely different name that they'd shared all over their FB timel

5.

Text - Today I happened upon my old APA manual and I started wondering whatever happened to them so I dug up the emails with the info and went looking. They no longer have seller profiles on any of the sites. Their website has been taken over by a domain re-seller. The house appears to have been sold last year (which may not be related, but l'd like to think it is.) And the owner's Facebook page lists them as now working at a place that turns out to be a PayDay lender. I dug through their timeli

6.

Text - "How did those minor errors cause you to get such a bad grade?" Because part of the assignment was doing the citations for the abstract and because of the incorrect italicizing (caused by following the APA guide) and my own error on the abstract of leaving off the running head I got the D-. This professor is a great professor but she's also a hard ass that goes all or nothing on us on our APA style. I've got her again this semester so pray to the spaghetti monster to intercede on my behal

7.

Text - "Grad school is a waste, online school sucks, etc." Cool story. I work in academia and my field has no upward mobility without a PhD. I'm doing this through a major university, not a degree mill. You're entitled to your opinion though. "I don't believe you." Again, you're entitled to your opinion. I dumped all the info I could easily find that wouldn't put my personal info or the seller's personal info out there. If you want to call BS then that's fine. 10.3k 338 ↑, Share

Cheap Musician Claims Artist's $35/HR Rate Is Robbery

Man, this musician was horrendously entitled from the very start. After being told by the designer they'd reached out to that the rate was fixed at a firm $35/hr, they proceeded to lash back out with pure rudeness. Some entitled people in this world just refuse to accept the rejections they're rightfully dealt. For another case of a ridiculous choosing beggar, check out this choosing beggar that claimed a knife had the "wrong energy" about it, and wanted to return it.

1.

Text - Неу I saw you're back on the scene again My band and I are heading up to a big release and my label said they're gonna handle all the promotional side of things 10:14 PM but I want you to design us a few album covers, we choose which one we like and then we'll get our label to cover the costs 10:28 PM Thanks for reaching out, l'd love to help you out with that! I don't have any projects at the moment so l'd be able to get it done pretty fast.

2.

Text - If you share some more creative details so that I have more of an idea of what you're looking for I could get started on concept art tonight. 10:31 PM / m.youtube.com/watch? V=Z here's a snipped of one of our songs just to get the general vibe of it the albums called btw 10:36 PM it's basically deep house with edm elements if you can sort that out 10:38 PM

3.

Text - I had a listen and I think I have a good idea of where I wanna go with it, I've got a few ideas that I wanna pursue but first I gotta talk pricing for a large scale project (which i'm assuming it is) like this, I charge a €10 deposit fee on top of my other service charges, for a project like this I can give you the option of paying me by the hour (€35) or paying me a fixed amount in advance. 10:52 PM /

4.

Text - Ok... I mean 35 euros is pretty expensive, it runs out to be something like 40 dollars. Not to mention the extra 10 on top of that, can we go lower? 10:54 PM I know our label is paying for it but I don't wanna rob them lol 10:57 PM I understand, I try to work efficiently so as to not have huge time delays or cost overruns, I can try to limit the amount of time I spend on it if you'd prefer (maybe giving fewer album covers to choose from for example).

5.

Text - But my hourly rate is firm. Listen, I don't appreciate being treated like complete dirt over here, my band didn't work tirelessly on our new album for the past 9 months to have it disrespected by some stuck up soy boy So are you gonna offer me the same service for a reduced rate or am I gonna have to go give this project to some Indian on fiverr? 11:03 PM You can take your project wherever you want, I'll take this to r/choosingbeggars 11:06 PM /

Tumblr Post: House Guest Discovers Secret Staircase

There's something just plain old spooky about discovering a hidden staircase or suspect deadbolt that someone at some point in history went out of their way to hide from everyone. In this case, we're encouraged by the fact that those scratch marks apparently indicate this was likely some tomfoolery. For some more gold from the world of Tumblr, check out this Tumblr post about how spiders rule the world's cranberry bogs.

1.

Text - O stephrc79 So l'm staying at a friend's house in Boston And in their guest room is a door.

2.

Property - And my first thought was closet. Just an ordinary, tiny, New England closet. But no!

3.

Black - There are STAIRS in that closet! Now where do those stairs go, you may ask?

4.

Stairs - Up to the blaek void attic of course. But you know, it doesn't seem to end there.

5.

Dead bolt - Because for reasons no one seems to know, this door deadbolts from inside. There's nothing but-a-blaek void up there. Why must it lock on that side of it??? Of course, it was then that I spotted something else.

6.

Door handle - Why yes, those ARE scratch marks on the inside of the door. Which, one might think dog because they're so low on the door (only a third of the way up).

7.

Technology - But you know, this wouldn't be fun if that was all there was. That deadbolt has scratches all around it too.

8.

Property - Funzies! Because guess what.

9.

Text - That deadbolt is five feet off the ground. And there is no dog in this house tall enough to reach it. Pretty sure I just entered a horror film. teratomarty Gotta love Boston architecture. Source: stephrc79

Patient Physics Professor Calmly Dismantles Flat Earthers

The flat earthers really have their work cut out for them on this one. Sometimes you've got to meet the irrationality of this world with a hearty serving of cold, hard facts. This physics professor certainly brought his A game.

1.

Text - Let's say I don't believe the world is round. How can one prove the world is round to me? Pedro Teles, PhD Physics, University of Porto (2007) Updated Wed Buy a ticket to Paris. Say you arrive at Charles de Gaulle airport. Take the RER B to Gare du Nord. At Gare du Nord, switch from the RER to the metro and take line 4, direction Mairie de Montrouge. Get off at the station Réaumur- Sébastopol. You’ll now be on Boulevard Sébastopol, take a left (or a right, depending on where you exit) to

2.

Text - 自 LTE 29% 9:36 And... congratulations!! You've just arrived at the Musée des Arts et Métiers 2. Go inside (don't be afraid now), go to accueil, and buy yourself a ticket (8 euros). Ask the receptionist to tell you where the Foucault's pendulum z is - it's not the original one, that one is inside the Pantheón, but this way you’ll get the chance to visit the rest of the museum, which is great! 关

3.

Text - Now, how does this help? Because this pendulum was designed and built by Léon Foucault in 1851 precisely as an easy-to-build proof of Earth's rotation along its axis! It's a basic concept - the pendulum is long enough to observe the Earth's rotation along its axis 2, and the Coriolis effect z. So go there, sit, and observe the pendulum as it swings back and forth. After a few minutes you will notice that the swing of the pendulum has rotated clockwise!!!! (yep! You upvoted this Upvote 1.9

4.

Text - pendulum has rotated clockwise!!!! (yep! Notice the marks on the floor around it!). If you wait long enough, and if the security guards allow you to do it, stay there for a bit longer than one day (around 1 day and 7 hours, as Paris is at a latitude of about 49 degrees north of the equator (see below), and you'll see the pendulum undergo a full rotation (360 degrees). While you're waiting, make sure to read the above links, and try to understand what is at stake.. Was this enough??

5.

Text - Ok, ok, so maybe you're still sceptical. Everything is rigged and it's all a conspiracy... ok then, do this - go back to your hotel, and get some well-deserved sleep. Before you fall asleep though, make sure you book a flight to Oslo, Norway. From there contact this company 2. They will take you to the North pole. On the North pole you will need to reproduce the same experiment as the one You upvoted this Upvote 1.9k 00

6.

Text - company 2. They will take you to the North pole. On the North pole you will need to reproduce the same experiment as the one you've just seen in Paris, so warn the organizers that you need to do just that. It won’t be easy of course, but it’s not impossible either! You want your proof so you have to work a bit to have it, right? So, mount your experiment, and after you do so, observe the pendulum again rotating clockwise on and on about its axis. Measure the time it takes for it to underg

7.

Text - But don't lose your stamina because we are not done yet. Get a good night sleep again, but before that remember to book yet another flight, this time to São Tomé and Principe, an archipelago near the Equator. O You upvoted this

8.

Text - flight, this time to São Tomé and Principe, an archipelago near the Equator. Arrive in São Tomé, and ask someone to take you to where the Equator line goes through. Again find a way to reproduce Foucault's experiment. this will probably prove to be the most difficult part of this whole experiment, but hey, you're the one asking for proof!! Now after you finish installing your Foucault's pendulum in São Tomé, observe the pendulum again. This time, the pendulum will not rotate along its swi

9.

Text - How is this possible??????? What have we observed here? In fact, because we live in a spheroid which is rotating along an axis, the Coriolis force will affect the movement of the pendulum, and is responsible for the rotations you’ve just

10.

Text - witnessed. This force is dependent on latitude, and so the angular speed at which you will observe the rotation obeys the following law: w = 360° * sin($)/1day where that angle there () is latitude. This explains why full rotation of Foucault's pendulum you observed in Paris took longer than a day, exactly one day at the North pole, and zero at the equator.

11.

Text - Now there - you've just witnessed in full, the effect of the Earth's rotation about its axis, and proved that the Earth is round (spheroid) and that we dwell on its surface! Congrats! PS: For extra-credits, ask yourself the question: what happens in the South pole? You upvoted this Upvote 1.9k 00

People's Most Intense Petty Grudges
