Entitled Customer Chooses Wrong Free Glasses, Owner Responds

This customer seems to be upset that they made the wrong decision with their glasses, so they decided to take it out on the store that provided them with the glasses for free. The owner let them know what was up. The retail world is swimming with entitled people and their unreasonable demands, as well as entitled people who went full Karen. Sometimes ridiculous customers don't get their way, like this Karen who demanded to speak to a fellow customer's manager.

Elevator Technician Takes Revenge On Entitled Woman

Man, oh, man, this woman sounds like a handful. She was repeatedly told by the elevator technician that his job would take some time, and that the elevator would be back up and running in an hour or so. Well, she ignored that crucial information, and proceeded to find herself on board a bit of a rollercoaster. Ultimately, it would seem that she got the wakeup call she needed, and was never in harm's way.

Stupid Things Escape Room Players Did

Escape rooms are a strange chance to see what people will do when they're left up to their own wits. Usually it ends with idiots smashing props with hammers, smuggling tools in and trying to escape through very real air ducts and sewers. Escape room employees see some weird stuff.

1.

Text - chazminor6 1.2k points · 2 days ago I did an escape room with my family and the workers have to tell you not to lick the light bulb. This is because some guy thought if he licked the light bulb the answer would be revealed on the light bulb. The only answer he found was light bulbs are hot and can burn you.

2.

Text - Genocide_Fan 30.5k points · 2 days ago I interviewed for a job at an escape room. They told me that one of their standard instructions you MUST tell every group is to not stick things in electrical outlets because too many people did it.

Text - riotoustripod 26.9k points · 2 days ago Escape room enthusiast here. We spent far more time than I care to admit trying to figure out what the hell the numbers written in sharpie on the underside of the rug in the middle of the room meant. Turns out they were an inventory number from the thrift store the designer bought the thing from, and nobody else had ever noticed them before. We still won, but that wasted a LOT of our time.

4.

Text - OdaSet 26.9k points · 2 days ago Had a group come in, I noticed they had been drinking a little, but seemed mostly fine. So I let them into the room and start the clock. They were just wandering around. At the half an hour mark they were laying on the floor and rolling around. They didn't do any harm to the room. I don't remember if they even solved one puzzle. When I let them out after an hour they claimed it was fun. But they didn't really do anything? And did they remember it the next

They asked for another hint and we said over the speakers that they were out of hints. One of the guys threatened to start taking off his clothes until we gave another hint.

Text - steun88 23.4k points · 2 days ago In the Netherlands there is this prison escape room where everyone is a prisoner and you have to escape prison (it is done in an actual ancient prison). There are about 300 participants and 85 actors (mostly prison guards and some prisoners). They have over 15 storylines which you can follow and there are other inmates (actors) which will lead those storylines and send you one quests. Coming back to the question, at the beginning they warned everyone that

Text - frozonesmite 15.7k points · 2 days ago First thing I had to learn working at an escape room: Everything, yes EVERYTHING, in the room was going to be dismantled, pulled on, or messed with in some way. Have a screwdriver in the room? Maybe there's a clue in the light switch cover. Blacklight? Must have to take it completely apart. TV for clues? Must have to unplug/change inputs. And anything not nailed down is bound to be broken

We opened the document and there were instructions to print. We got print, and the printer gave us an "out of ink" error. Quick Quora Post On The Word "Smart"

Some folks might connect with this Quora post that aims to break down the implications of the assigning the word smart to different individuals. Seems like there are a whole lot of "gifted students" out there that suffered the fallout of fielding so much pressure at a young age, just cause tests in class were a bit easier.

1.

Text - Why are so many gifted students and adults underachievers? Riley Anderson, lives in My Head Answered Feb 8 Misguided praise. "You're so smart." It seems like an innocent compliment, right? It's not. As a gifted child, you're told that constantly. It becomes a part of your identity. That's what makes you special. That's what people like about you: your intelligence. You are only valued if you are smart. Now, when you're little, school is easy. Especially for you. You don't have to try at a

You try out new hobbies and realize there are things you aren't innately talented at. You begin to doubt your abilities. What if you can't do everything perfectly? Well, then you wouldn't be smart. And if you're not smart, then what are you? Worthless. So you underachieve. It's a genius solution. If you don't try, failure doesn't count. Af

So reality hit me like a brick wall when things stopped being easy. I had grown so accustomed to being good at things with relatively little time and effort that I could not tolerate adversity. Challenges only made me anxious, and as time went on my ability to manage my life got worse and worse. The goal was no longer to succeed, it was to not fa

Tumblr Story: Selfless Farmer With A Heart Of Gold

This beautiful story from one of the brilliant minds of Tumblr is a true diamond in the rough. Brace yourself for the feels.

1.

Text - writing-prompt-s Temples are built for gods. Knowing this a farmer builds a small temple to see what kind of god turns up. sadoeuphemist Arepo built a temple in his field, a humble thing, some stones stacked up to make a cairn, and two days later a god moved in. "Hope you're a harvest god," Arepo said, and set up an altar and burnt two stalks of wheat. "It'd be nice, you know." He looked down at the ash smeared on the stone, the rocks all laid askew, and coughed and

The next day he left a pair of figs, the day after that he spent ten minutes of his morning seated by the temple in prayer. On the third day, the god spoke up. "You should go to a temple in the city," the god said. Its voice was like the rustling of the wheat, like the squeaks of fieldmice running through the grass. "A real temp

"Do what you will," said the god, and withdrew deeper into the stones. "But don't say I never warned you otherwise." Don't have much of an offering for today," he said, and laid down some ruined wheat, "but I think I'll shore up this thing's foundations tomorrow, how about that?"
