This family's loyal, giant Mastiffs successfully stopped an evil-minded, stalker from breaking in and doing god knows what. Sounds like the guy had duct tape and a pickaxe in his backpack. He was no match for the Mastiffs though.

People assume it's easy to be a kid, like the whole "not working or paying taxes" thing. That said, a lot of us forget about the challenges of growing up. A lot of being a kid is learning how stupid you are, and discovering all the ways the world can disappoint you. These result in meltdowns over stupid things. Seriously, kids have a lot of dumb meltdowns.

One of our new favorite subreddits pokes fun at Baby Boomers for all their outdated antics and notorious inability for being able to keep up with these fast changing times. Baby boomers had it coming.

Twitter user @shockproofbeats, lived down a true waking nightmare. His story is one for the ages, and revolves around him thinking that he'd had the day off, but ends up getting called into work after having consumed some suspect, milky green powder that was actually ketamine.
Fortunately, the tripped out and anxious enthusiasm brought on by the drugs he consumed with reckless abandon shortly before being summoned into work, came across as nothing more than overwhelming excitement. Crisis averted, and what a story this guy got out of it.

Someone on AskReddit asked for people to share their worst memories of school. The following memories are painful and filled to the brim with cringe. They're the kind of memories that haunt you and keep you up at night.

Someone on AskReddit asked for escape room employees to share the absolute dumbest ways they've seen morons try to escape the escape room. The ensuing responses are brimming with mindless stupidity. It's fair to say that a whole lot of these people shouldn't have been anywhere close to an escape room.

Big retail chains can have a lot space for people to fall through the cracks, like this guy who got hired but was never told to do anything and stayed on for months. Anyway, retail and customer service is a drag, and we feel for those who get backed into a corner by an incompetent boss.

As long as the internet's been around we've had people trying to get away with telling their lies. There's just something about the internet that convinces people they'd be able to get away with their lies, without ever getting called out in the process. Fortunately we've still got a fair share of truth seekers around ready to try and chip away at all the BS that seems to surface online.

This guy asked the people of Reddit if he was in the wrong for telling his girlfriend to steer clear of what he believes is a sex cult. Maybe things just aren't meant to be between these two.

We like to think it's our big values that we're most passionate about, but the things that make us the most irrationally angry are often trivial and small things like covering your mouth while eating and being woken up by a lawnmower. There are normally calm people who will flip a shit over just about anything.

This employee has a soft spot in their heart for spiders. When it got tense in the office with another co-worker over their refusal to kill the spider, they stood their ground, and successfully defended the life of the creepy crawler. Sounds like the co-worker is about ready to quit after this.

Your Tinder game is as good as your inventory of icebreaking pickup lines. The last thing so many people that use the dating app seem to do, is actually take their matches seriously. But at least we get to enjoy all the botched attempts and shameless immaturity.

Here are some stories of shattered bones, huge scars, emergency room visits and missed life events due to mundane moments of idiocy. All these folks did was misstep, exert themselves too hard, forget to stretch, forget about their surroundings and what have you. People injure themselves in some incredibly dumb ways. You'd be amazed at what a poorly timed sneeze can do to you.

This angry pregnant woman decided to kick her husband out after she learned he was hiding money from her. His reasoning for hiding the money was that he thought she might want some if she knew about it. For the couple to have dated a few years, and decided to have a baby together, it sounds like they had some serious issues. Maybe time for some couple counseling.

She's definitely not a mind reader, but absolutely a terrible guesser. This must've been a particularly uncomfortable experience to sit through. Straight up savage when the guy asks her how she explains failing miserably.

There's nothing funny about the horrible toll that the reality of climate change is currently taking on the planet. There is something somewhat goofy about people falling over themselves to wrangle a loose blood hose.

Ghosts are one thing, but so many working adults hate their jobs so much that the thought of death might actually be a welcome surprise. What truly sends a chill up someone's spine is waking up to 3 missed calls from your boss and and a text that says "where are you." For some creative spookiness, here are some two sentence horror stories.

This bride asked the people of Reddit whether she was in the wrong for firing the flower girl on wedding day, after learning about some bullying going on. The verdict would seem to be that it was a pretty crappy move to not just get a couple flower girls instead of pitting the two against one another.

Life is a series of attempts. Sometimes you're trying to finish a construction project or eat a mozzarella stick. Sometimes you're just trying to do the right thing, or look cool on the internet. For whatever reason, these people's attempts didn't come through for them and veered into a heap of failure.
