This little guy was very happy to be saved. Apparently he wiggled off of his leash and fell into the ocean off a ferry that refused to stop. Luckily he survived and is very happy to be alive and reunited with his owner.

Well, that win was short-lived.
A woman identified only as "Chantelle" by an Australian radio station made one very costly mistake after winning $825 on a 100-to-1 horse race bet.
She took a selfie with her ticket and posted it to Facebook. DOH!
To her dismay, someone saw the barcode of the winning ticket in her photo and used it to claim her winnings.
"To the low life who is obviously my friend on Facebook and used my photo to claim our winnings. You're a massive d*ck. You ruined my day," she wrote on Facebook.
She told the radio station that police were able to track where the money was claimed, so she might get some sweet redemption.
But you kind of have to give it to the person who claimed the cash.
That was genius.

This totally believable "near miss" was caught on camera by Utah's Fox 13 news station. The piece was reporting on the crosswalk by a bridge that motorists tend to ignore and drive right through, or in this case come to a complete stop and start driving again as soon as a pedestrian walks by. According to a Reddit user who claims to drive by that area often there is a pedestrian bridge just out of frame so it's not as if pedestrians in the area are out of options. Seems like they were just having a slow news day. Maybe they should investigate that criminal in the van who goes around waiting to hit pedestrians?

One "social media celebrity" is quitting social media because she says she had become consumed.
18-year-old Australian model and vegan YouTuber Essena O'Neill is quitting social media and launching a campaign to help others who want to make the change themselves.
This might seem trivial, but for someone who made thousands of dollars through social media—her career is now in jeopardy.
And she had a lot of followers:
Essena O'Neill, from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, had over 574,000 Instagram followers, more than 250,000 subscribers on YouTube and around 60,000 dedicated Snapchat contacts when she decided to give up her life as a 'social media celebrity'.
In her final YouTube video, O'Neil describes why she is quitting social media.
"I put my value in numbers, not real life people, moments or my natural passions of art, writing...Posting on Instagram consumed me," she wrote.
"We are not followers, we are beings of individuality and love. I have never felt so free."
She said she is leaving her Instagram and YouTube accounts up as documentation of her journey. She even started changing Instagram captions to reveal the truth about sponsored posts and highly edited photos.
Instead of using popular social media platforms, O'Neill has set up a website and blog, letsbegamechangers.com, where she will continue to interact with fans and share her content.
Her first challenge to users? Go social media free for one week.

Anonymous said in a press release that about 1,000 more KKK members' information would be released in the coming days.
