‘You’re Not Entitled to Kindness When You Are Purposely Being Rude’ : Cheeky Dude Expects Woman To Respond Nicely When He Obstructs Her View at Sporting Event, Revealing His Own Hypocrisy

People pay a lot of money to go to sporting events, and although we're all aware that it's not far from what you experience when in a movie theatre with a bunch of screaming kids (no offense), one can still have basic manners — because, we aren't kids, after all. We're adults. And as adults, we're supposed to communicate. Be the grown-up in the situation and all that. But the problem is, a vast majority of people are rude — and this especially goes at sporting events.

This is why I'm an introvert and prefer watching events from home guys. Because people are rude and inconsiderate, and there's no point in expecting them to behave as you would. For example, this man took to the r/AITA subreddit to complain about a woman who was being passive-aggressive and downright rude to him throughout a sports game he was attending. And fair to say, she really was acting like a child. But so was he… because you can't just knowingly put an enormous bucket on your head and expect the person behind you to shut up about it. They paid to see the game, after all.

So you, dear sir, knew exactly what you were doing. The comment section is pretty controversial, to say the least. Lots of Redditers side with the hypocrite, while others tell him he can't expect others to be nice to him when he's being such a jerk. Scroll down to read all about it. While we're on the topic of being petty, check out this wise neighbor who knew exactly how to exact some good ol' revenge on his building board for enforcing the most ridiculous bylaws.

Enraged Karen and Kevin curse out a 13-year-old at a restaurant

This Karen and Kevin are a match made in heaven. Who would have thought that such entitled, angry humans could find the person they were meant to be with for the rest of their lives? In this story, these two lovebirds found themselves at a busy restaurant and were frustrated that their food hadn't arrived yet. You would think that despite their frustrations, they would behave when a 13-year-old server came out to assure them that their food was almost ready. Well, you thought wrong!

Not only were they rude to the kid, but the encounter resulted in a physical fight as well. The Redditor, one of the cooks in the restaurant, had to step in and break it up. They shared their account of the story via this thread on Reddit's r/F***YouKaren subreddit. Keep scrolling below for the full story. ‘Did You Block Me?’ : Best Dating App Fails of the Week for the Tired Crowd

Man… The dating app algorithms are truly against us. Tinder is both the best and worst thing that ever happened to the human species. On the one hand, we don't have to approach people in real life anymore. On the other hand… we can't approach people in real life anymore. It doesn't matter if you're looking for a FWB, a relationship, a situationship (as they call it nowadays), or a hookup. It's become less and more difficult at the same time.

We are promised good things when we swipe, but that's clearly not happening. Let's say you get a match, begin a convo, and make a date. You either get ghosted, stood up, or the person you meet is crazy. Sometimes you hit gold (pun intended) but those instances are rare. Don't even get us started on FOMO.

The illusion that Tinder creates is an endless supply of hot, emotionally available people. But really, there is just an infinite amount of idiots. So, if you're failing miserably at this little thing called a 'dating app', these fails are for you. Feel free to check out these memes for the broke crowd as well.

Employee Gives Two Weeks Notice, Hotshot Manager Tries To Fire Employee and Gets Demoted

Power can certainly get to some people's heads more than others. It sounds like this new hotshot manager was inconsolably blinded by the newfound power that they found themselves in possession of due to their new position. Well, let's just say that after the employee they kept trying to fire had had enough, they got their rightful comeuppance. It would have been great to see the look on the hotshot manager's face when they realized they'd managed to get themselves demoted.

This story was originally posted on Reddit's r/IDontWorkHereLady subreddit by Redditor u/Thischick1, who shared their experience with the growing Reddit sub. Redditors voiced their appreciation for the original poster's actions and condemned the actions of the manager.

'Are you kidding? I would buy this immediately': Internet completely divided over utterly bizarre food label

As the saying goes, in marketing, all attention is good attention, but is that really true of this bizarre labeling choice? People had very strong opinions, both positive and negative, about the super weird label on this food.

Twitter user @theactualemma shared a photo of a plant-based food product, with the caption, "I've never put something back on the shelf so quickly lol." The photo, as you can see below, shows a long mismash of a paragraph, with phrases like "yesss wee knowwwwww iiiit's on EVERYYY PACCKKKKKKKK."

The singular sentence, which also has no punctuation, is proving quite divisive. Some people loved this copywriter's bold idea, and said they'd be swayed to purchase the product for themselves. Meanwhile, it was a major turnoff for other people, and there were tons of jokes to be made about this run-on sentence.

I tend to side with copywriters doing whatever they feel like, for obvious reasons. However, in this case, I think the writing does look a bit last-minute, and it's not very informative about the product, which is certainly helpful when you're in the supermarket deciding between brands. I'd probably put it back on the shelf too, if only because it's a major eyesore to read! I hope the copywriter is out there still bringing big ideas to the table, where ever they may be now.

‘It’s Still My Money!’ : Dad Decides to Reinvest Daughter’s College Fund Towards His New Step Kids Education Following Her Early Graduation, Family Drama Ensues

College in the States is hella expensive. Kids these days take out a ridiculous amount of student loans that equate to buying a house or two. Oftentimes, when parents can afford to, they'll help. We're talking big bucks here, upwards of 60 thousand dollars… that's an enormous sum of money to put into your education, but at this point, it's just how the world works.

When your family gets involved in your expenses, 'fun stuff' starts hitting the fan, if you get what I mean… Heated discussions and the occasional swear word enter the stuffy room where the older and younger adults stand yelling at each other in dismay. It's stressful. While scouring r/AITA, I came across a post by an ambitious young woman who was furious at her father for refusing to pay for the remainder of her education after an ugly divorce from her mom. Check it out down below.

'Nobody likes a snitch': Evil coworker gets top performing competition at work fired for taking breaks

Never trust your coworkers! Especially not this guy, who was clearly threatened after 25 years on the job when the top-performing employee on the team had only been working at the company for a year.

This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/CubsFanHan, only further proves the concept that if the work gets done, what does it matter if an employee takes a few breaks throughout the day? No one seemed to be suffering from those breaks, except for the jealous coworker. The most ironic part of the story is that the Redditor was fired by HR mere minutes after receiving a gift card celebrating him for his success on the team. Oh, well. If anyone is suffering long-term here, it's the company, which lost one of its most valuable employees.

20 Small animals (and their owners) who had a bad day

Being a small animal isn't all fresh kibble and naps in the sunlight — sometimes owners will interfere with their own dastardly plans. Some animals definitely have a sixth sense. The day you want to bathe the dog or take the cat to the vet, they'll suddenly know to disappear to the back of a closet, making you search for them for hours. However, none of these critters below have any advanced sixth sense. These annoyed animals just couldn't avoid their fates!

Up next, these people shared the things that were better before they became popularized… like living in a van, vlogging, or Airbnb.

'Why women have babies with men like you is beyond me': Dude wants to use paternity leave to take a vacation away from his wife and kid

Does this guy even hear himself? As one person in the comments section mentioned, the bar of fatherhood is already quite low. The concept of using two weeks of your paternity leave to abandon your newborn in order to take a vacation and visit other family is just about as selfish as it gets. And all just so you don't have to use vacation days for your vacation? This guy might as well get the words "absent father" tattooed on his forehead now.

He shared his own side of the story via this thread on Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit, which is even more baffling because you know he's probably trying to portray himself in a good light. What he's actually done is probably ten times worse than how he explained it. It seems like his poor wife might be better off being a single mother than having to deal with his immature outlook. Keep scrolling below to watch this guy get torn apart in the comments section. When you're done, take a look at these dad jokes.

'My son is clearly resenting us': Parents give one child $4k for Christmas and give the other $800, wonder if they're wrong

The sibling relationship may be one of the most complex: two individuals who have interacted and competed throughout the entire duration of their challenging developmental years. These years of ever-shifting emotional conflict can foster incredibly strong, near-unbreakable bonds; or can form two individuals who can't stand to be in the same room as one another.

Jealousy is one of the main contributors to the latter result; oftentimes, one sibling may begin to feel resentment toward their family due to what they perceive to be unfair or unequal treatment and opportunity. The thing is, everyone is different, so it can be challenging for a parent to parent to these differences while still treating their children overall equally.

The sheer fact that your children will be different ages and hit different milestones in different years can be a huge challenge. What is a parent to do when their 16-year-old daughter Becky gets a cellphone, and their 14-year-old son Arnold starts demanding one too? Is it unfair to Becky to give Arnold a phone two years younger? Or is it unfair to Arnold that he doesn't have a cell phone, and Becky does? Due to challenges such as this, and despite parents' best efforts, one sibling might let feelings of resentment and envy creep in.

That's essentially what came to pass during this family's Christmas. The parents gifted their daughter $4k to help with the purchasing of her new home, while her brother was left with $800 worth of gifts.

Redditors ultimately voted that the parents were in the wrong, although the result was hotly discussed and contested. The leading consensus seems to be that the parents should not have made this "gift" part of a Christmas present and should have given it to her as a separate arrangement.

'We're all a family here': 25+ People share the most toxic red flags they've experienced at job interviews

Job interviews share more in common with a scene from Shakespeare's Macbeth than they do with a legitimate means of vetting a candidate for employment. Two players put on a performance for each other: one playing the part of an employable person and the other of an employer that a candidate would want to work for. Sure, there might be no regicide or kinslaying in a job interview — but the process can be just as ruthless.

On top of the complexity of the social performance of the interview, there's a lot that can go wrong with a job interview right from the get-go. Timeliness is of huge importance; if either of the parties is late to the interview, that can be a huge red flag as to the respective party's reliability. During the interview, an employee might be so nervous that they find themselves incapable of portraying an accurate portrait of their skills and experience. Despite being a better fit for the role, they may find themselves losing out to a more confident but less-qualified candidate.

Despite an interviewer's best efforts to conceal the flaws of their management team or organization, there are cracks that can appear in the armor that can give insight into how things really operate. These 25+ people gathered on a popular r/askreddit thread to share their experiences and advice.

Keep reading to view the reader's answers. For more, check out this job seeker who sent a scathing email to a recruiter who was late for their interview.

Have you ever experienced any of these red flags? Maybe you have some of your own? Let us know!

'It's not a doctor's note, it's a Mommy note. Everyone in the office just stares at it': Manager shares story of an uppity employee and his over-involved Mommy

One grocery store manager had an exasperating experience with "Ray," a young employee with a lot of entitlement at his very first job. The original OP (OOP) shared a series of cringey encounters that took place at her job, chronicled from over a decade ago. As a supervisor of a grocery store, she had to deal with a variety of personalities, and a lot of young people, since in her town, this place functioned as a lot of teenager's very first job. Enter "Ray," a new cashier who suddenly had many complaints about his new workspace.

This manager shared the events as they happened from October to November, including an escalation with one of Ray's craziest family members. The post was even deemed a rare case of ESH, or "everyone sucks here," meaning everyone in the situation shared some blame for what went down.

After you find out what's up with Mama's boy Ray, add your own opinion to the internet's collective Anti Bucket List of things we're never, ever, ever doing.

‘What Are You, a Snowflake?’ : 20 Blunt Signs That Don’t Beat Around the Bush

Whoever created these signs get an A+ for creativity. Some of them are dumb, some of them are clever, and some are plain offensive. Still, they leave little to the imagination. I wonder whose job it is to double-check these things or come up with the mottos. Who approved these for the masses? Maybe the job is so boring that it leaves no choice to the employee but to make their own life more interesting.

A couple of these signs are oddly specific as if there is a very peculiar backstory… makes me wonder. If your boss doesn't have a sense of humor, you might not still have a job. Either way, feel free to scroll down and judge for yourself. 'We have made a change to PTO': Horrendous HR tries to get workers to use their PTO if they need to work from home

Since when were PTO and WFH the same thing? Apparently, at this company, these completely separate concepts have been conflated as a means to manipulate employees. That's what this Redditor shared via this thread on Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit, and let's just say that people in the comments section were quick to call out this ridiculous toxicity.

Time off is time off, not time out of the office. We should culturally be used to the concept of remote work for long enough now to know that it's still very much work. We suspect that this policy would be rescinded immediately with the quick and brief involvement of the Labor Board because the concept behind this fakery is clearly illegal. This isn't anyone's agenda to work less but rather to make appropriate use of the time off that employees signed up for when taking on the job. 'I will never do that for you': Teacher refuses to help student log into school account, gives him failing grade

Every so often, you come across an authority figure who just wants to see you fail. For many people, that starts in school. For this Redditor, the dynamic wound up manifesting itself in something completely out of their control. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/EntitledPeople subreddit by u/Dziobic.

The original poster was locked out of their school account and was not able to log in to even look at any assignments. After repeatedly trying to explain the predicament to their 'old school' teacher, the teacher refused to help and made an announcement that anyone who is not able to log in for any reason will fail the assignment automatically. This was just an extra level of cruelty because she clearly meant to shame and embarrass the student. As for the technical troubles, we get the sense that this teacher somehow assumed that the student was using technology to get out of doing the work, which is a troubling and cynical assumption to make before listening to all the facts. Keep scrolling below for the full story. For more, take a look at this college student's malicious compliance.

'I am NOT AVAILABLE': Manager decides to change student worker's availability during their school holiday without talking to them

Communication is a key part of any business. Being able to have simple conversations with staff and other workgroups is an important part of being a manager.

Communication can be a tricky thing, the discrepancy between what you intend to say and what other people hear is vast, so it's important to be clear and concise with your message. Communication is so easy to get wrong, but the sure way to fail at it is not to do it at all. The worst thing you can do — as a manager or at any level of an organization — is make an assumption in the place of a simple conversation.

That's what this manager did when they decided to change their worker's availability and schedule them for more shifts without talking to them first. The manager knew that their employee's holiday from school was coming up, but instead of asking them if they were able to work more, they just scheduled them for the shifts.

This went over like a lead balloon, and the ensuing confrontation was then posted by the employee to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit, where it sparked discussion around the topic.

'I never want to go swimming in a pool entirely filled with spiders': Internet creates a massive Anti Bucket List with some oddly specific answers

Get in loser, we're going to make an Anti Bucket List! Everyone already knows what a regular bucket list is — a long and wishful list of hopes and dreams for the future. Usually people will include their dream vacation spots, or some fun activities like mountain climbing or jumping out of an airplane.

But today, some folks felt like compiling an Anti Bucket List. It started with the simple question of naming the myriad 'Things [yo]u never wanna do?' There's a surprising amount of overlap between people's ordinary bucket list things and the anti. For example, some of the respondents actually don't want to go skydiving or have kids.

But then there are also plenty of great answers about the more miserable parts of life, like sickness or cheating on a partner, that definitely belong on this list. There was a ton of variety in the responses — you're sure to have an "I'm never doing that" moment as you read through.

Then, cleanse the thoughts of spiders from your mind with this collection of crafty individuals who tried and failed at making artwork, and instead made us laugh.

'Well she can't have her money back': Guy rents out space for birthday party, has cringeworthy fallout with friend over money

Is friendship refundable? That's the question that comes to mind when reading about this uncomfortable falling out between two friends over money for another friend's birthday party. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/Longjumping-March640, who explained that he had rented out a space for their friend's upcoming party and everyone in the group agreed to pay $80-90 each for the venue. He gave everyone 48 hours notice and also explained that once the reservation was booked, it could not be undone.

Now, here's where things get sticky. The Redditor's friend Mara, who has a different financial situation, backed out of the party last minute after already paying because she made a mistake and had a different event that night. $80=90 is pretty steep for a birthday party in my opinion, but that didn't seem to be the reason why Mara had to back out. Now, there's a world in which these could two could have worked something out together before things got nasty. Mara badmouthed the Redditor to their other friends, saying that he should cover her cost and reimburse her fully. Big mistake! In another world, they could have found a mutually beneficial solution, but as it turns out, this falling out might have been inevitable.

‘Sorry to Break It to You, Our Work Culture Sucks’ : 20 Funniest Memes for the Broke Crowd Who Live for the Weekend

There are few people in this world who can honestly say that they actually enjoy their jobs. Most of us just kind of exist in this black hole called existence and try not to stir stuff up with HR or yell at our office Karen. If you work in retail, you try not to end up in the News for jumping at a customer. You count every day leading up to the weekend, and tell your coworkers that you are 'definitely quitting this year'.

2023 is basically as stressful as 2022, and we're only a few days in… A long (preferably paid-for) vacation is needed. Christmas definitely didn't cut it. Today feels like the kind of day where you wake up and complain about how broke, tired, and overworked you are. So that's what we're doing right now, making sure that this miserable energy gets tossed around accordingly. Just kidding, we're obsessed with memes, and that's how we're gonna make ourselves feel better, as usual.

It's the best way to procrastinate and ignore your real-life problems. The weekend also offers us some much needed relief. We can just lounge on the couch and watch 'The Office', scroll mindlessly through Tinder, and think about good comebacks to arguments we had weeks ago. Forget the emails that are sitting unopened in your inbox for a sec, and scroll down to check out these relatable memes.

'[He] deserves a life of his own': Unhinged Dad refuses to let fully grown son leave the house, Mom saves the day

I guess father does not know best! In this scenario, at least, the father in question was objectively in the wrong here. This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit, shows how an unhinged dad completely misses the point and confuses his son's desire for independence with "selfishness."

The post was written by the 23-year-old son's mother, who decided to intervene and help her fully grown kid rent an apartment of his own so that he could get a job and live his own life. His father wanted him to stay so he could keep taking care of his disabled younger brother. Of course, we are sensitive to this difficult predicament, but the way the Dad went about this was just all kinds of crazy. He kept on rescinding his own son's job applications so that he wouldn't ever have a shot at getting out. Absolutely wild!

'I am holding recruiters [...] to the same standard': Job seeker sends recruiter scathing email that divides the internet.

The performing art that is the job interview process can be exhausting. There are woefully unqualified and manipulative recruiters at every turn, hiding in the shadows, just itching to waste your energy and precious time. Once you make it to a first-round interview (after receiving no response to 50 other applications), you're put into the gauntlet of the interview charade where nothing matters except for charisma and the ability to feign competency. It doesn't matter a lick whether or not you're actually qualified; can you convince the interviewers (who might have no technical experience in your field) that you're qualified?

This frustrating exercise can get the better of even the most emotionally hardy of us, and this job seeker has become determined to turn the tables of the situation and get back at bad recruiters by giving them the "what for."

That's all well and good, but their specific approach to the situation has divided readers. While some readers have applauded their drum beating and flag raising, others are pointing out that they might have jumped the gun and been a little quick to pull the trigger on their email. They sent their email (pictured) at 12:07 pm, a mere minutes after their interview was scheduled to be held. Who knows what number of things could have gone wrong to cause this delay? Sure, if it were the other way around, the job seeker probably wouldn't be receiving a second chance, but has their response gone too far? What do you think? Let us know in the comments.

Keep reading for the screenshots of the email and reactions below, as posted in Reddit's r/recruitinghell subreddit. For more, check out this idiot interviewer who was late for a job interview and then tried to blame the candidate.

'Kevin refuses to read restaurant menus... making the waiter/waitress explain every single dish': Guys shares the dangerously 'ludicrous plans' of his clueless Dad

Every Dad is silly in one way or another – that's just part of being a parent! – but this clueless Kevin is the ultimate goofy dad, making dangerous mistakes at every turn. As the OP shared to r/StoriesAboutKevin, his ultra clueless dad has nearly caused calamity many times throughout the OP's childhood. This Kevin has some weird hangups, from not being able to make beef "stick together" to refusing to read a single menu at a restaurant because he already knows what he wants to order. 'This is ok isn't it': Job seekers hilarious interview screw up sparks a discussion that goes 'off the rails'

The job interview process is a tricky one. So much of it depends on the charade of weird social norms that it's really more of a performing art piece than an adequate way of vetting the performance of a candidate. There's so much research indicating that those who come across to recruiters as 'confidant' are more likely to be selected for a role, regardless of their actual experience or qualifications.

We humans are so quick to judge others, consciously and subconsciously, based on minuscule amounts of actual interaction; it can be really difficult to change someone's opinion of you once they have formed it. That's why first impressions are so important in both job interviews and any social setting.

Well, this job seeker might have given their interviewer the wrong impression (or maybe the right one?) with what they displayed in the background of their online interview. It wasn't until they had signed off that they realized their Thomas the Tank Engine pillowcase had been proudly displayed on their unmade bed for the entire thing.

They posted an image of what their web camera had displayed to Reddit's r/CasualUK subreddit, where the image went viral and sparked a rowdy.

"The storm trooper bonking his head in 'A New Hope' is a pretty famous one": A collection of the 'biggest, most obvious, most expensive' mistakes ever left in big-budget movies

From "Lord of the Rings" to "The Bourne Identity" to "Gangs of New York," people are sharing their favorite examples of movie mistakes that made it into the final cut. Some movies, especially "Shutter Island," are notorious for intentionally creating continuity errors to scare the audience more. But most of the movies people mentioned were ones they were watching and suddenly noticed a glaring issue that was totally unintentional.

Sleepy Memes and Fails for Melatonin-Hungry Millennials

Raise your hand if you need a nap! If you're like me and you're still getting adjusted to the fact that it's 2023, you're probably also wildly sleep-deprived.

Sure, some of this is a self-imposed problem.

Do you need to still be scrolling through memes and social media at 2 am when you have to get up early for work first thing in the morning? No.

Do you need to be watching so much television to the point that you don't even know how many episodes you've consumed and how late you were up? Of course not.

But this is what happens when you need a vacation from your vacation and when you realize that during said vacation, you didn't actually catch up on sleep as you planned. A 2023 Guide to 'Quiet Quitting' That You Should Never Share with Your Boss

2022 may have been the year of quiet quitting. What are the takeaways for this year?

Well, according to this thread on Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit, there are plenty of concrete rules you can follow if you're planning to "quiet quit" this year. Now, as folks in the comments section suggest, there is a reason to avoid using this buzzword in 2023. Because as we all know, quiet quitting makes it seem like the employee is the only person at fault here. Really, this is all about acting your wage and ensuring that your boundaries between work and life aren't crossed. If they are, then employees should ensure that they are compensated for that extra effort. Hopefully, now that we're in a new year, employers can approach their reactions to "quiet quitting" with less hostility, less doubling down, and less aggression. That's not how you're going to motivate people. Let's hope that 2023 will be about listening and implementing actual changes to work environments.

What is missing from this list? Comment below! For more, here is a fresh batch of back-to-work memes.

'We were all suspended': Insane power-tripping manager reprimands and suspends all workers for no reason, gets fired

Some people just shouldn't have a single shred of power over other people… When these idiots find themselves with any semblance of authority or control, they wield it with an iron fist of furious stupidity.

That's exactly what this assistant manager "Judith" was like. "Judith" was prone to foaming at the mouth any time she had the chance to fill in for the manager, as when she was in this position of power, she was able to rule unchecked. Now, the manager, "Bob," absolutely bears the brunt of the responsibility for this situation; there's no way that he should have been leaving Judith in control of this situation as she is clearly woefully unqualified to manage. At least she got fired in the end.

Funny Reddit Thread: Entitled/Nosy Karens Call the Police Over Rejected Phone Calls

There is a pretty big variety of different Karens. Some we call the 'Supermarket Karens', while others we put in the 'Fast Food' category. There are those pesky neighbor Karens, and the ones we're ashamed to have in our immediate family… there are also, it seems, 'Karens who call the police because how dare someone ignore their phone calls'. Yes, those exist.

While scouring Reddit, a hilarious thread popped up, where people shared similar Karen stories, making us wonder… are Karens going to take over the world? We bet they have some kind of a committee. To be accepted as a member, you must of course be required to prove you are a good, somewhat delusional, upstanding citizen who cares about the rules very much, while at the same time, you must also irrationally acknowledge that they don't actually apply to you.
