'You're a nominee for AH of the year': Heartless Karen refuses to let husband attend his ex's funeral

It doesn't get more heartless than this. This Karen entered her current relationship with her husband knowing full well that he had a close platonic friendship with his ex-wife. He made it clear from the get-go that this friendship was non-negotiable and that it would never turn into something more than friends again. He was true to his word.

Karen posted this thread to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit after her husband's ex-wife died suddenly of an aneurysm. You can sense her sick and twisted relief that she's gone. You can also sense her absolute cluelessness when she heartlessly denied her husband the right to plan and attend this woman's funeral. Thankfully, this guy stood up for himself, and now I think it's pretty clear that this marriage may also implode soon.

'There's no law regulating what qualifies as 1 vs 2 or 3 star [review]': Upset customer ignites feud with a leather store over negative online review

One unhappy customer tried to write a 1-star review about a leather jacket they got …only to have the company clap back at them.

It all started with a "name and shame" post, in which the OP told the r/Leathercraft community not to buy from this specific retailer. That's because they were really unhappy with the quality of the leather, citing about 30 imperfections. Then, when they reached out to the company, no one got back to the OP for several weeks. That was enough for the OP to want to spread the news of their poor experience.

Thus launched a feud between the brand and the customer, with the brand demanding the OP take down the scathing review. However, the OP believes they should be allowed to write a bad review for what they felt was a bad product. Unlike many Reddit posts, there isn't a clear conclusion to who is in the right and who is in the wrong in this scenario. I think that everyone needs to apologize in this situation, but other people side strongly with OP or the company.

'Well, that's disgusting': Wild Airbnb Fails that show just how awful hosts and guests can be

We've all had an Airbnb horror story! And if you haven't yet, you will. Let's of course remember that there have been some great experiences too. But as we all know by now, one bad experience can sometimes make you completely forget about the good times. Keep scrolling below for a look at these Airbnb fails, which also include helpful guidelines on how to spot hidden cameras in your next Airbnb (a far more common occurrence than you might think!). 'Stop enabling your adult son': Mom lets entitled son bring fast food into cousin's wedding reception

There are times when you shouldn't let your McDonald's craving get the better of you. Your cousin's wedding is certainly one of those times.

How did this mother in good conscience post this thread to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit and expect people to think she was in the right? Either she lacks any semblance of self-awareness or she's so desperate for likes on Reddit that she made the whole thing up. If we're going with the former, hopefully, the judges of the AITA community gave this lady plenty to think about, particularly when it comes to her son. The dude is 22 years old and, according to the original post, everyone else seemed to enjoy the food at the wedding. He should suck it up and wait until after he leaves to have his precious fast food. Instead, he brought it into the venue, handed food out to others, and left chicken bones on the floor.

Parents ditch babysitter with kids and put them on "do not disturb"

Parenting is exhausting; at its worst, it's like a marathon that you run uphill for 18 years with no water stations and no end in sight. That's why it's a godsend when you can find someone (whether a bribed family member or paid caretaker) who can take your child off you for a few hours. Of course, for some parents, this whole time is spent worrying whether or not the child is alright and being adequately cared for — others still might be able to enjoy their time but be relieved when they return home to their offspring.

'Wow, That Was Forward' : Most Delusional People On Dating Apps This Week

If you are one of the many people who have been convinced by their friends to use a dating app, we feel for you. 'Download Tinder!' They said. 'It'll be fun!' They said. And here you are, months into denial, thinking you'll meet your soulmate with the next swipe, or at the very least, a good FWB. Then you're left perpetually wondering why you ever listened to them because their promises are empty. The algorithm is obviously against you (and me, and everyone else) but it's just so addictive, you can't seem to stop.

You are guaranteed an endless supply of super hot people (Has anyone seen a Tinder ad recently? Those people on the poster DON'T EXIST) but it's all LIES. It's like when you know something is bad for you, but you want it anyway. Forbidden fruit and all that. And don't even get me started on the constant ghosting or the crazies… or the FOMO. So let's scroll down to make ourselves feel better that we are not the only ones stuck catching piranhas in an imaginary sea of fish.

30 License plates created by brutally honest drivers

Car lovers, gather 'round - these are real drivers out on the roads, rocking some excellent custom license plates. Most license plates have a random collection of letters and numbers on them, but some drivers opt to create their own vanity plate, which can say almost anything. Vanity plates can't use foul language or be inappropriate… in theory! These folks managed to game the system and come up with some pretty inventive workarounds.

Keep scrolling to check out these license plates that could stop traffic, and then check out these 30 architecture failures that'll make you wonder how these buildings are even still standing.

'Guacamole, runny eggs, sushi - all dumpster food': 30 jaw-dropping, controversial food opinions

Everyone has bizarre food preferences, but some of these are truly shocking. This r/AskReddit thread includes the following controversial food opinions. If you are the type of person who would go out on a limb for pineapple on pizza (gross), ketchup on everything (filthy), and cottage cheese (who do you think you are?!), then you have come to the right place. Keep scrolling below for these screenshots, and when you're done, take a look at these pizza fails.

Resort Worker Is Denied Access to the Guest Bathroom, Gets Revenge By Intentionally Clogging HR's Toilet

This person did not get the feedback they wanted! They posted this thread on Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit hoping for some good old-fashioned solidarity at sticking it to the ~man~, so to speak. What they got instead was some serious questioning about their diet.

For some context, the Redditor works at an island resort, and their personal toilet has never seemed to work. After a while, HR started to ignore the original poster's requests to unclog their toilet. Once HR caught wind that they had begun using the guest's bathroom, they were reprimanded. After that, the Redditor had no choice but to use the bathroom in HR's office and knowingly clog the toilet. Once people in the comments started to question the Redditor's dietary health, they got defensive and didn't do any favors to themselves after revealing more information. Keep scrolling below to see for yourself! For more tales of malicious compliance, check out this one about an entitled customer's pizza order.

‘It’s Just So F-ed Up. I Work So Hard for $15/Hour’ : Drama Ensues After Jealous Sister in Law Cries and Makes Scene When Her Brother’s Fiancé Shares Her Salary

Yes, we are aware that people in High Tech make ridiculous amounts of money. Personally, I kind of gawked at the number that was blaring in big black letters in front of my eyes as I read the post that was on the AITA sub. 300K? What the actual ****? Who makes that kind of money!? People working in High Tech, my friends. They also tend to work a lot less than your average customer service employee and get way more benefits. We can understand that it's not always easy to ignore the unfairness in life.

And to hear that your brother's fiancé makes that amount of money, while you yourself are pregnant, single, and broke… is not an easy feat. But a harsh reality is that life isn't fair. Furthermore, if you know someone who is making that amount of money, congratulate them. Don't be an AH. Just because you're having a hard time doesn't mean you have to make others feel bad for working hard to get where they are. Blame the system, not the person who decided to play the game of the system. So to conclude… Rude, much? Scroll down to read about the drama that ensued.

'Stop baking me stuff': Entitled guy demands coworker bake him cookies, returns dirty tupperware

Who doesn't know the tupperware rule? Apparently, this guy didn't. The unspoken rule is that when someone bakes you cookies and lends you their tupperware, you should at least give it a rinse before handing it back all dirty and gross. But apparently, if you're an entitled dude who demanded that his coworker bake him a specific type of cookie in the first place, you might not be the kind of guy to pick up on this rule.

This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit, goes to show that when your coworker lacks even an ounce of self-awareness, don't reward their behavior with cookies. Then, you might be able to avoid this kind of wildly entitled behavior. That being said, this is totally the other guy's fault, and hopefully reading the savage comments below gave him the kind of wake-up call he needed. Wife unplugs the internet when bad Dad won't log off to give the baby a bath, things escalate and HE demands a divorce

Some people have zero self-awareness and totally expect themselves to be in the right when everyone else would gladly tell them that they are, in fact, totally wrong. This husband probably was thinking this exact thing when he decided to ask his wife for a divorce after she pulled the plug on his gaming session over his unwillingness to help out with the couple's child.

The wife made a post to Reddit's r/AmItheA**hole subreddit in which she appealed to readers of the online community to see whether she was in the wrong for taking more dire measures to separate her husband from his gaming session. I'd normally be a staunch defender of the parents getting suitable time to escape and pursue their hobbies, but this sounds like an extreme situation. The wife is both the primary breadwinner and primary caretaker while the husband — well, he doesn't do f*** all, really. To be honest, the guy sounds like me in University — but I didn't have a wife and sick child to look after. He sounds like a pretty heavy deadweight that she should be glad to be rid of.

Keep reading for this thread. It starts with the initial post, and the original poster provides more context to the situation in the comments from item #8. The Life of a Hybrid Employee: Memes and Fails That Pretty Much Sum It Up

We all know those in-person days and those WFH days look very different. When it's an in-person day, you get up with just the right amount to shower, get ready, grab your morning coffee, and commute to the office looking like a professional human person. But when it's a remote day, here's what's really happening.

First, you get up at the last possible moment before a meeting. You don't shower until mid-day when you should be working. You don't change into anything remotely professional looking. Instead, you wear sweats, or you cover yourself with a blanket, or you stay in bed, or you just wear nothing at all (I'm not endorsing this behavior, it's simply reality). In short, on the in-person days, you look like a photoshopped version of a human, and on the remote days, you look less than unfiltered. Keep scrolling below for a closer look at the life of a hybrid employee. For more content like this, check out these office holiday party memes.

30+ Building blunders from people who don't even know which end of a hammer to use

Designing and constructing a building - how hard could it possibly be? Draw a few blueprints here, toss a few bricks and cement there, easy peasy. Joking, of course, but these 35 structures below have suffered from some poor planning. It looks like a lot of these buildings, staircases, and a surprising amount of bathrooms, were all just thrown together as quickly as possible.

It's like the construction crew just cared about completing the building ASAP, and didn't even worry about the people using it. Electricity by water fixtures? Who cares! A disability ramp that will send you careening off a second story building? Neat! We're shaking our heads so hard at these building blunders - keep scrolling and try not to roll your eyes too hard.

Update! 'I'm the a**hole': Dog owner lets pet "go" in neighbor's yard, wonders if they're wrong, internet sets them straight

An excellent sign of an obliviously entitled person is someone who refuses to control their pet. Fido might be your best friend, but that doesn't mean you should be letting it roam endlessly onto other people's property or taking off the leash at an explicitly leashed park.

It's not often that people actually return to take accountability for their actions on the internet. We're so set in our ways, polarized in our beliefs, and utterly convinced we're right that we tend to struggle to take other people's advice and opinions on board. Luckily, this Reddit user seems to have accepted the judgment they received on Reddit's r/AmItheA**hole subreddit, and they have returned with an update to include the steps they intend to take for reparations with the neighbor.

‘You’re Single Because of Your Ridiculously High Physical Standards’ : Man Comes Clean to Delusional Friend Who Believes Most Women Are Out of His League

Some people are a little less self-aware than others, and sometimes they need some gentle nudging in the right direction. Then again, everyone has their own perspective, and none is better than the other… yet still, there are some universal things that people agree on, and these things often have to do with basic vision… of the eyes. If someone is super attractive, you can just tell. They may not be your type, but you can still objectively say that they are attractive. When someone is not so attractive, same thing. And for the record, someone can be less attractive from a societal perspective, but you could still be attracted to them, and they may be more your type than others who do fit the (crazily high) social standard of beauty.

Don't mind me going in circles, though. This article is about a post I found on r/AITA, of a man who sat his friend down and told him quite bluntly, that he should lower his standards in regards to dating. This is less about how attractive his friend is, and more about his friend's double standards. This friend, you see, was not blessed with good-looking genes (which is fine), and does nothing to make himself look more 'attractive' (again, totally fine) — yet he does believe that the women he dates need to meet a certain physical standard - while he doesn't hold himself to the same standards. He is, as you can imagine, very single.

I'm kind of torn on this post, but you're welcome to take a look and judge for yourself. Because that's what we do here, after all. We read posts on the internet and judge strangers. Cuz it's fun. So sue me. And while we're on the topic of reading posts on the internet, feel free to check out these random memes for a good laugh, because they basically define reality.

Update! 'He said I couldn't have left at a worse time': Employee tries to reconnect with boss after quitting goes wrong

One person shared their experience reconnecting with an old boss after an emotional departure from the job. The OP shared to Reddit, asking if they were in the wrong with the interaction. This person describes how they worked for a company for six years, rising through the ranks and eventually even doubling their salary over years of hard work. But then they got an offer they couldn't refuse. It would more than double their salary!

The OP quit with what they thought was an appropriate tone, and even had a plan in place for leaving. But their boss exploded upon hearing the news, accusing them of disloyalty to the company that made their career possible.

However, OP decided that they still wanted to have this boss in their life, because he mentored them, and they didn't want to burn bridges. So they decided to meet up for a drink, and the OP ended up getting some much-needed explanations behind the bosses' strong reaction.

Guy pettily trolls rich neighbor Karen who is mad about a new road joining her neighborhood to a 'poor' one

We're often told in life that we should always do the right thing, but what is one to do when the right thing is also wrong? Perhaps, this quandary is the best way to consider the situation at hand in this story. This guy has taken to pettily trolling his rich Karen neighbor, who is infuriated by the fact that public works have just completed a project that has added a road connecting her upscale neighborhood to a poorer one.

It's pretty safe to assume that this Karen is probably just one of those people who resist advancement of any kind and have excuses for why no changes should ever be made to anything ever.

Keep scrolling to see screenshots of the post and reactions. There's something totally glorious about baiting the rage of an irrational individual; after all, it is one of the oldest art forms on the internet. Funniest End of the Year Memes for Employees Whose Current Workload is Becoming a 2023 Problem

The best part of the holiday season is that sweet spot on the calendar between Thanksgiving and the New Year where everyone's work comes to a complete stand still. Society just understands that we might as well chill during this time frame and it's completely normal for people to simply put an away message on their email that says, "OOO—Let's circle back in 2023". Those spreadsheet issues are just going to have to wait until January to be solved.

Maybe it's become normalized because everyone is using up the last of their PTO, giving up on Q4 goals, and cracking a beer at 11am so that they can endure their family members who have decided to stop by with cookies every other day to get in the holiday spirit. Whatever you need to do to survive the holidays is definitely not going to include late nights at the office or working overtime. 2022 is over and any work problems are simply going to roll over into next year.

'I reported him to the school admin, he's now banned from the property': These people got to say, 'You have no power here'

In life, there will always be people you don't get along with perfectly. For the most part, people tend to keep the peace and not destroy relationships. But as these people below shared, when someone no longer has power over your life, it can be the perfect time to gloat!

On the r/askreddit sub, the question was posed: What was the best "you have no power here" moment you have ever seen? And people sure had some entertaining answers! Their tales of sweet sweet revenge against their parents and bosses are wildly entertaining. Some people grow so powerful in their roles as bosses or parents that they start talking to people however they want, being rude or entitled. It's really satisfying to see these folks get their comeuppance after months or years of toxic behavior. In some cases, their own words were used against them.

'My bike got swarmed by 8000 bees': 20 Bike fails for motorcycle maniacs and bicycle brethren

Biking can get you from point A to point B, or it can be a great way to kill time just for fun. Many people start biking from the time they're children all the way through adulthood. But of course, just like with any sporty activity, there are some risks. Aside from possibly face planting into the ground, there are cars to deal with, oh and the high cost of even owning a bike! Check out these memes below, and always wear your helmet.

'My sweet, beautiful family doesn't suspect a thing': Lying husband sneaks to hotel room to binge eat peanuts

Consider this a different kind of affair...one with a jar of peanut butter instead of a human. Regardless of the specifics, you can tell that this lie has been weighing on the husband's conscience. He shared his story via this thread on Reddit's r/TrueOffMyChest subreddit, and like many folks in the comments section, I was surprised to see this confession go in a very different direction than what I was expecting.

The facts are these: the Redditor, who has a daughter with a serious peanut allergy, rents a hotel room every few months and tells his family that he has a business trip. What's really happening is that he is getting his peanut fix. We're talking Reese's Pieces, a jar of Skippy, peanut butter cookies, the works. This dude literally eats himself to sleep. Then, like any lying husband, he gets rid of all the evidence and returns to his wife and kid. At this point, we suggest transparency, but we also want to acknowledge that this guy is giving the kind of unexpected wholesome content we love to see this time of year. On the scale of lies, this one is obviously mild.

Company won't compensate employee for missed $1000 event, pays $5000 for round trip international flight instead

Sometimes you can't help but wonder if corporate executives have ever heard the expression "cutting off one's nose to spite one's face" as they seem to repeatedly make illogical decisions based on half-baked policies that really only hurt the business in the long run. Usually, it's as simple as the fact that someone decided something once, and that's just the way it's going to be forever. It can also be because something is easier on the books, and therefore that's the way it's going to be even if it actually costs more.

Stories like this pop up in Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit every week, and we're not close to growing tired of them. This particular thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by Reddit user u/Modokon, who shared the bewildering situation they faced when they asked their employer to compensate them for an event they couldn't reschedule.

'I will throw him in the pool tomorrow at 1. If something happens to him you are responsible': Rude entitled Aunty demands free swimming lessons for her son

One mom did not hold back while demanding swimming lessons for her son - for free. This text exchange is between an "Aunty," and a swim tutor. For some time, the swim teacher had been giving free swim lessons to kids, even when offered money, just to be nice. But some people are so entitled that they'll ruin a good thing! This Aunty demanded that the teacher bend over backwards to accommodate her "anxious" son. By anxious, she means he doesn't like to be around other kids. She also demands to change the time so that the water will be warmer, and even scolds the babysitter for the crime of…replying several minutes later to a text message.

In my opinion, the swim teacher is way too nice here, she is very polite throughout the entire exchange. The entitled Aunty, however, is completely out of her mind. She doesn't even attempt to be gracious or thankful for the FREE swim services the teacher is offering.

Check out this infuriating text convo below. After that, the commenters gave the swim instructor great advice for how to humiliate the entitled Aunty in front of the other parents. I'd love an update to know if the teacher did get any other parents involved.

Hail Santa: Cursed Vintage Pictures With Santa That Will Ruin Your Holiday

Santa Claus as a figure, as a story, and as a concept is downright creepy. Sure, they try to make him seem cute with his jolly voice and his rosy cheeks, but deep down, Santa is a home invader with a child obsession and it's just weird that everyone ignores those two facts. Just because he's a big man who likes to eat 8 billion cookies a night, doesn't mean that he's harmless. This is a man who relies on slave labor to build an empire whose sole purpose is to perpetuate child bribery and 'annual performance reviews' for 7 year olds. Have you been good this year? Well these mall-Santa's certainly have NOT and prove that it's super creepy to let your child sit on a strangers lap, traumatizing them, for a few photos to laugh at later. If you're that person then you'd only have to hope that your local Santa put a little thought into the costume and didn't drink a fifth of vodka for breakfast that morning.

'I slept under my desk at least 3 nights a week': 20 LinkedIn lunatics who just had to share their most unhinged work thoughts

LinkedIn is a really strange social media site, because people take themselves deadly seriously - after all, this is their career they're talking about! Some folks seem to love posting just to boost their own ego or hype up their most recent accomplishments. But a lot of the time, it turns into oversharing, bragging, or straight-up lying, just to gain some clicks and "good for you!" comments. My favorite is people who start their post by noting how hesitant they were to share this information with their colleagues…like yes, you totally could have just not posted that, Karen! But people have egos and they have engagement to drive, giving us a wealth of LinkedIn Lunacy.

Below are 20 people who just couldn't resist bragging on the job site, and next up, read about these 30 folks who could not survive one single day without technology

College student goes on rant after bad roommate kicks him out at 2 AM during finals week

We've all had roommate drama...and this college student is starting to learn what that's like. After spending eight hours in the library studying for finals until nearly 2 am, when he finally got back to the room, his evil roommate tried to shoo him away so he could have alone time with his girlfriend. Excuse me? He had eight hours of alone time with her when the Redditor was gone studying. The audacity!

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/college subreddit by u/EmprircalCrystal, who was definitely not the clearest or most articulate in his original post but you could tell that was mostly a result of the unbridled rage he was feeling at the time. Be sure to read the screenshots included in the comments section to get more information about the surrounding circumstances. The main takeaway here is that college can be formative for several reasons. One of those reasons, for better or for worse, is that you're going to come across a-holes and you're going to have to learn how to deal with them.

'The most ridiculous flex of power I have ever seen': Boss accuses employee of using a 'fake name' because of common nickname, confiscates their shifts

Some people have an immense propensity to abuse petty amounts of power. If you put some people in charge of filling a cup of water, they would find a way to do so with absolute authority.

This manager got an incredibly petty bee in their bonnet about the shortened version of their own name that they prefer to use. They have taken to telling the employee that their name is "fake" and have even started penalizing the worker by confiscating shifts from them. The most insane part of this entire story is that they have even suggested the employee use a different shortened version of their name. So if shortened names aren't the issue here… what is the issue? This line of thought alone proves the fact that this manager just wants to abuse their power.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by Reddit user u/Fragg1eR0ck. They voiced their frustration with their manager's accusations and the entire situation they are facing.

'I ain't givin' up that easy': Guy finds bike theft in progress and takes matters into his own hands

Getting around New York City can be quite easy on a bike to whisk you from place to place. But clearly they are highly coveted items, as this man discovered when he ran into a bike theft in progress!

A user who goes by Malcolm816 discovered that he'd left his bike carefully locked near his office in Times Square. But when he was ready to ride home, he found that someone else had placed a huge lock on his cycle. What could that possibly mean? To Malcolm816, it was a sure sign that his bike was in the middle of being stolen, so he hatched a plan to get the lock off. 21 Dumb Photoshop Fails By People Who Don't Know The Laws Of Physics

Ho-ho-ha, with Christmas right around the corner, we've got a lot of hilarious, holiday-related content to show you guys. So today we're gonna take a break from that and share with you some pretty dumb photoshop fails instead. The internet is full of delusional people who think they can get away with looking like the exact opposite of what they look like in real life.

This doesn't only apply to people though, it also applies to companies that advertise their products. Everyone downloads Photoshop,  imagining that a Youtube tutorial or two is gonna make them experts. Some people have the audacity (or nativity?) to gasp and deny it when normal people call 'em out.

To be perfectly blunt, it's called catfishing. Photoshop has basically become a lot of people's 'go to'. Whether it's because they're insecure, or because… they're insecure. Scroll down to see the best of the worst. Plus, if you wanna see some more delusional people, just in a different form, feel free to click here.
