Overdramatic Memes and Fails For Those Who Overreact

Let's face it: being overdramatic is fun. Why go through the world as a measured, calm realist when you can be over the top about literally everything? If you identify with this sentiment, then these overdramatic memes and fails will speak to you. Sometimes, you just have to blow things out of proportion to get your point across. That's how you get people to identify with your plight. Other times, it's just fun to be ridiculous. Instead of living every day like it's your last, how about living every day like your problems are unique and you have a giant microphone to broadcast your feelings to those around you? I'm just saying: it's not healthy, and it's not self-aware, but it's certainly entertaining. Keep scrolling below to take a look at these memes and fails. 'I wish y'all the best of luck with this bulls***': Coworker leaves iconic message before she quits

Talk about going out with a bang! Some people choose to quiet quit, some people choose to leave a job without revealing their true feelings, and some people elect to be as messy as possible. This coworker went with the latter option and left a glorious goodbye message to the other employees upon quitting their job.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/ThatDMDemigal, and let's just say that there's much to admire about this coworker's powerful exit. There's that old saying about never going quietly, and there's some serious validity to that mentality. If you leave without making your message known and heard, there will certainly be no signs of improvement after you have gone. And even if there are no signs of improvement, at least the message was delivered.

'Light fuse and run': Chaotic man group-texts ALL of his ex-girlfriends on Christmas Day

Part of celebrating the holidays in these modern times is messaging everyone you know on Christmas Day, usually including a bunch of tree and present emojis. As you open your presents and share a meal with your loved ones, chances are you're also getting a bunch of texts from friends and relatives across the globe. One man named Tom decided to take a chance on Christmas Day…by texting all of his ex-girlfriends.

Who knows what Tom thought when he made the choice to create a group chat with every girl he'd ever dated? Perhaps some imbibing was involved? Tom mentions that he's "lonely" and misses the women, a seemingly innocent thing to say. But as his exes start text-shouting at Tom and each other, it's clear that this is not going to be a warm and cozy reunion.

In the comments, people definitely sided with one of the exes over all of the others. Most had a pretty sour attitude about being reminded of their jerk ex-boyfriend - understandable!

Check out this wild text chain, then read about one woman who declared she was going to be in first class… to the chagrin of the airline staff and the person sitting in "her" first-class seat!

20+ People share their tiniest but strongest-held opinions

Whenever this question floats around the r/AskReddit sub, it warms my heart: What is the smallest hill you're willing to die on? The question invites commenters to share their tiniest opinion that they hold very strongly. The answers are pretty lighthearted, and they're always hilarious! It's intriguing to see what bugs people - like one person who really hates the sound almonds make, or another who declared red delicious apples as "trash."

Others were pretty concerned about traffic issues. One person mentioned that at 4-way stops, you shouldn't be polite, but instead just go when it's your turn. If only every driver followed that rule, the roads would be in much better shape.

Once you figure out your own "small hill opinion," read about this entitled woman who had an unsavory reasoning for wanting to dump her longterm partner.

Woman's 'transaction nightmare' of a husband starts charging for the room she uses to work from home

Is this dude serious? He's trying to charge his wife 30% of her wages because she uses a room in their house as her 'work from home' office. Yes, this was his house prior to their marriage, but he had agreed early on to let her use their second bedroom as a home office. To go back on that arrangement so suddenly is concerning, to say the least.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/Emil536775, and let's just say that the ruthless judges of the AITA community were crystal clear about what the original poster should do next: leave him. Clearly, this marriage is more of a transaction to him than anything else, and clearly, he is not taking into account all the work she puts into their place (i.e. doing all the house chores). The moment he brought up this conversation became the beginning of the end.

'The softness of a cucumber allows you to be extra expressive on the drums': 30 Musical instruments infused with majorly chaotic energy

From kazoos to recorders to those single drums that you can carry in a backpack, most kids grow up playing some kind of instrument. Say an extra thank you to your parents today if you recall playing a xylophone before school (for practice!) or playing "Smoke on the Water" on the bass until everyone in the house needed pairs of earplugs. Not all of us can be musical prodigies, but that didn't stop the folks below from trying! They've created some truly weird instrument fails - keep scrolling to absorb the utter chaos of these musical objects.

Pathological Liar Goes So Far That He Gets Cut Off By His Brother

Talk about not being your brother's keeper! This guy learned early on that his brother was a pathological liar, but after years and years of being ignored by his parents about it and being subjected to several serious lies, he decided to cut his brother off.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmiTheA**hole subreddit by u/This-War7732, and well, the drama did not stop there. The original poster goes on to explain what happened to his brother after their falling out, including his brother's marriage, further lies that he told at work and in his family life, and his currently unstable situation with his kids. Clearly, these lies have gone too far, and it's not the Redditor's responsibility to take this on. However, the brother definitely has a problem that needs work.

Welcome to this edition of Top Tinder Moments, a collection of some of the wildest trending moments and fails from the wild world of online dating.

'Revenge Is Best Served Cold' : Neighbor Get's What He Deserves After Repeatedly Destroying Siblings Snowman

Have you ever had one of those neighbors that just can't seem to mind their own business? The kind of person who would purposely try to ruin something that you worked hard at? If you're a kid, that might be a snowman. Remember how hard we all worked at those? In movies, it looks like the easiest thing in the world to create one of those little monstrosities, but in real life, that is far from the truth.

It takes a lot of effort. Your hands nearly freeze off by the time you're done with it. And who knew that carrots actually had to be bought, and didn't grow on trees? AND WHAT ABOUT THE BUTTONS? Why does nobody mention those?! Where are you supposed to get a bunch of big, obvious buttons for your snowman's fake coat? Let's assume you've somehow made it to the end, and the result is amazing. You look at your snowman and beam proudly.

And then… someone ruins it. Some people insist on being crappy human beings and there's nothing you can do about it… until of course, you are handed the perfect opportunity. Revenge is best served cold, as the old saying goes, and that certainly applies to this situation. While scouring r/pettyrevenge, we happened upon a perfectly petty post by u/XxFireflyxxX that at first brought back some good ol' memories, and ended with us (and a lot of Redditers) smiling. Scroll down to read about the inspiring way he and his sister handled their awful neighbor.

'I hope this addresses your concern': Employee asks HR why new employees are getting paid more, gets ridiculous response

It's as if HR has become a parody of itself! This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/GeorgeClooneysMom (what a username, she's definitely not his actual mom though we can certainly dream, can't we?). The employee in question recognized that new hires were getting paid significantly more.

When they brought it up to HR, it became clear that this is not the first time they have received these types of questions. In fact, their e-mail response was so carefully crafted that it is quite obvious this employee is not alone with regard to their concerns. Best solution? That would be to up and leave. As many people in the comments suggest, the best way to get a proper raise in this climate is to switch jobs. I wish that weren't the case, but that's just the current state of things.

'I altered my uniform to comply': Worker takes advantage of stupid belt loop-hole loophole

We grow up learning that rules exist for a reason and had best be followed to the letter; this gets confusing when the realization dawns that there are a lot of stupid rules that exist only because a certain stupid someone decided it should be so.

This is the case in many workplaces where an egotistical middle manager or woefully unqualified HR worker can make unchecked declarations and decrees that everyone else has to follow. These decision-makers will pat themself on the back for a job well done while they reap the rewards of the success of others, done in spite of their stupid policies; this song and dance has been playing out since the beginning of human existence, and we don't expect it to change soon.

'That's a whole new level of cheapskate': Dude demands repayment after first date rejects him

People are completely divided over date etiquette on this post shared to Imgur! In a text exchange, two people are discussing their date, and one soundly rejects the other. In a nice way! But the other person doesn't take it so well, and demands to be repaid. The only thing? They went on a coffee date! So this dude really cared so much about less than $5…it's pretty weird.

Some commenters believe that this person was in the right. If a first date doesn't go well, why should he have to pay up? But others just completely disagree. A first date can be so unserious, so why would he demand to be paid back for a teensy tiny little coffee?

‘You shouldn’t adopt a dog if you're working 8+ hour shifts': Dog mom ignites controversy after posting a video of the destruction her puppy caused while she was at work

Raising a puppy is hard work, anybody who has ever done it know that is a guarantee. That's why it is important to make sure you are ready to dedicate yourself to a creature like that. How much should you dedicate is what's up for debate in one woman's comment section. She simply took to her social media as an outlet to let out her anger after finding her home completely destroyed by her puppy. She had left him created while she was at work, but he escaped. Now, the comment section is deep in debate about whether you should even adopt a dog if you work an 8-hour shift…

The 20 Worst Songs to Play at a Funeral

This one is for anyone with a dark sense of humor. When you go to a funeral, you're probably expecting that the music will be tasteful, classy, and respectful. You're probably not expecting to hear bangers like "Stayin' Alive" and "Since U Been Gone." Well, that's what the brilliant minds on Reddit were able to come up with when they were asked what the worst possible song to play at a funeral would be. If you're like me, and you have the occasional giggle when it comes to morbid comedy, keep scrolling below to check out this list. You might as well start making your playlist for your own funeral right now, using these exact songs. Honestly, I might. Does anyone else want their funeral to be a party? Cheating coworker gets caught, dumped, and deported as a result of his actions

Getting caught cheating certainly has consequences, but I hadn't heard of these ones before. That's right: this guy was cheating on his girlfriend - who he was hoping to marry - with a coworker before his friend (also a coworker) told the truth, and now the cheater may have to leave the country because of it.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/pettyrevenge subreddit by u/Appropriate_Nose_455, who may be feeling a bit guilty after ratting out this guy. However, it seems like the Redditor wasn't fully aware of his immigration status, and if that status was as heavily reliant on this future marriage as the post suggests, then this guy had more reasons not to cheat than the average cheater. And yet…he did it anyway. Oh well. It's not like this country has a shortage of cheaters anyway.

'This is why I hate working EDM shows': Bouncer has to wrestle a man who aggressively flipped a table full of drinks over for the dumbest reason

When a casual night at work usually ends up with you having to wrestle somebody and getting several shots poured on you, you're obviously going to have a lot of crazy stories to share. That's the case with a bouncer who takes to her TikTok to recall some of the most annoying nights she's had to work as a bouncer at a club. Most recently she shares the story of how she had to kick out a man for so many reasons. First of all, he was inappropriately bothering a woman. He was pretty obviously on something more than just a few drinks. Then the guy aggressively flips over a table full of drinks out of nowhere. She's trying to get this guy out of the club ASAP, but he's resisting. He's holding onto the railing of the stairs, causing a scene. The bouncer then loses her footing and drops him and he goes tumbling down. When he stands back up, he tries to swing, but misses. There are multiple bouncers now and things are just getting crazier and crazier.

Insane guy purchases entire house without his real estate agent wife's knowledge, wonders if he's wrong

When you're in a committed long-term relationship, it's always advisable to make large, life-changing decisions as a team: This is something we would expect would go without needing to be said. Alas, wherever there are people making decisions, there is always going to be one person making one so utterly stupid you might not have even considered it to be an option in the first place.

Take this idiot husband, for example; he thought it would be a clever idea to purchase a house without his real estate agent partner's input. The woman owns a real estate business, for god's sake. Didn't you think that she might have just a little bit more insight into the ideal house-purchasing process than you?

This guy is a classic example of being perched atop Mt. Stupid of the Dunning–Kruger effect, surveying his surroundings and passing decisions on things that he knows so little about that he's totally ignorant to how little he knows.

Keep reading for this glorious tale of stupidity. For more, check out this immature husband who got his wife uninvited from her family's Christmas gathering after he pitched a fit about not getting his own invitation.

'What's more goth than having your pawpaw burried in the backyard?': Hillbilly woman proves that southern girls are more goth and punk than any city slicker

Is it a bit redundant to call her yallternative? Recently, with everyone's obsession with the 90's paired with everyone being clinically depressed, there has been a huge rise in people who consider themselves emo, goth, punk, or simply just 'alternative'. Black eyeliner, dark hair, and a permanent scowl on your face have become more fashionable than ever and goth-ish girls everywhere are thriving.

'When Katie finds this out she kinda loses it': Bi woman accused by best friend's jealous girlfriend of trying to steal him away

You know what they say about when you assume...

This Redditor opened up about her experiences as a bisexual woman and how it may have had something to do with her best friend's recent breakup. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit, and let's just say that the original poster did nothing wrong. Let's get that out of the way first. It was her male friend's jealous GF who made assumptions that she only dated women and who absolutely lost it when she learned otherwise. As one person wisely said in the comments section, that woman's jealousy destroyed the relationship, not anything Redditor said or didn't say. We also want to give a shoutout to the Redditor's bestie, who dumped his girlfriend immediately after she made insensitive remarks. Good on you, dude!

'I received a decrease in my pay': Employee gets pay docked for grammar mistakes, gets revenge on boss

Getting your pay docked because you didn't talk good?! Cue malicious compliance!

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/Nancamp, who opened up about an experience they had editing English lesson plans for a company comprised mostly of non-native speakers. The Redditor and their boss also had differences of opinion because the boss followed UK English. This is clearly a case of bad management and unclear rules. If the Redditor knew it was part of their job description to call out other coworkers on their mistakes or their pay would be reduced, things obviously would have turned out differently. Instead, they just received a paycheck with a note after the fact. What followed was some gloriously petty revenge, as the original poster started calling out mistakes on lesson plans as instructed. Whose mistakes did they just so happen to discover? Isn't it obvious? Their boss's errors!

'My supervillain origin story.': Server receives a note instead of a tip from customer, sparks outrage in online server community

The service industry offers its workers a myriad of shitty experiences: Terrible customers, terrible employers, terrible coworkers, and an (often) unpredictable income that relies upon strangers' ethics and understanding of their social obligations.

Freelance worker discovers his former company still uses the work he owns, gets sweet revenge by deleting the folder

You don't know what you've got till it's gone! This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/This_Manner_256, who shared that after advocating for a pay raise and not only getting denied but also getting fired, this freelance video editor took advantage of the opportunity to get some sweet, sweet revenge.

This story will resonate with anyone who knows what it's like to be rejected by a boss or company while knowing full well that they will be relying on your work way more than they'd like to admit. You can't help but root for the original poster when they pulled the rug out from under their former employers. It's antiwork at its finest! The Redditor included an update in the comments section, explaining just how they knew they could get away with this without violating anything in their contract.

'Expenses [...] were more than they were for the previous 12 months combined': Company takes away company cars in an attempt to save money, malicious compliance ensues

Sometimes, you get so fixated on one little detail that you miss the bigger picture entirely. That tunnel vision can result in horrific errors in judgment in professional organizations that snowball and cost companies thousands, if not millions, of dollars.

You, a new manager (or finance person), are looking to implement some unnecessary changes in order to fuel your insecure ego (under the guise of saving the company money) and think that taking away your project engineer's company vehicles will achieve your ends. There's no way that this could go terribly wrong… right?

Well, project engineers have a reputation for being an organized, methodical bunch. If any group is going to be able to orchestrate concerted malicious compliance, it's going to be them. When their new manager thought they could take away company vehicles in order to cut costs, they could immediately see the way that they could cost the company far more.

'Please excuse me while I go destroy your lunch': Insane workplace 'game' turns into no-holds-barred lunch war

Fasten your seatbelts and prepare to read one of the most incredible workplace stories ever written on Twitter. This person, who goes by @tombrodude, shared a tale for the ages of a "prank" he and his coworkers used to pull on each other. Basically, they waged war against microwave meals. But unless you're reheating, like, tuna casserole, why would you have such disdain for microwaved food? Clearly, this man waged a full-scale attack on his coworkers…and you'll have to read the rest for yourself to find out what the internet is cracking up about.
