In this case, it sounds like the slumlord was clearly not going to play nice, and return the security deposit to the tenants after they moved out. The good news is that the tenants didn't stand for it, and instead decided to fight back by ingeniously securing a website that'd go on to be the slumlord's ultimate archenemy.
The process of trying to secure a home with your partner can be an exciting, fulfilling, and nerve-wracking experience.
