We've all been woo'd by a good commercial at some point in our lives. Especially when you're a kid, Nerf really makes it look like having a sweet blaster will make you the coolest kid on the street. We've all gone crazy at some point for those ads for laser tag games and frozen drink makers, and many of us never learn and keep making stupid purchases far into our adult years. That said, this isn't always our fault, sometimes products are straight up misleading and manipulative.

Shoutout to the bold employee that shows up thinking he's getting fired, and decides to wear a tuxedo and monocle. Epic. That being said, sounds like the co-worker's "joke" took things a little too far, and had the poor guy convinced that he was getting canned.

General Picard had some great writers. Take these with you into the world, and maybe pass some wisdom along to others while on your way.

These liars seem adamant in their pursuit toward spreading mindless BS. It's like they have been lying to themselves for so long now, that they're incapable (or just not willing) of being honest with the world around them. Silly fools.

This guy found out someone had been using his account and charging his debit card, but then realized he had the ability to give the interloper a headache. Hopefully they have some Dutch DVDs to pass the time? It's rare, but sometimes people in these situations actually manage to get the upper hand, like this guy who hacked a scammer.

Sometimes a comeback is just too clever for its own good. People really make an art form of the comeback nowadays. With morons spewing out all kinds of BS on social media, there are just too many opportunities to pass up.

Someone on AskReddit asked for people that got married or entered into a relationship, to share when they knew it was a mistake. Maybe keep an eye out for these warning signs, if you feel like you and your loved one have been off as of late.

Anyone who has ever muddled through the grind that is working customer service will connect with these painfully relatable memes. On a good day, maybe only one customer drives you nuts. On the other days however, it can begin to feel like the whole world is against you.

Jessica Biel tossing that shade toward NSYNC from way back in the day. She'd "heard of them." Apparently they were cool.

The way it all comes together is just a feast for all the senses. Except maybe taste I guess. But still, the way this syncs up so good is just darn satisfying.

Someone on AskReddit asked for lawyers to share their biggest surprises when it came to what was legal/illegal, upon going through law school and learning the ins and outs of the justice system. Some of these are the very definition of outdated, and it's a true wonder the laws are still standing. While others are just a little bit silly. Like, in France it's illegal to name a pig "Napoleon."

Twitter users are breaking out the best and worst of their imagined "Rejected Commandments." These commandments didn't quite make the "formal cut" but that doesn't meant that our chaotic world wouldn't benefit just a little bit from people abiding by them. Especially that whole bit about people looking where they're going while driving. Sheesh.

Everyone's high school experience was a little different. Some kids were incredibly dumb. Sometimes a cool teacher did someone a solid. Other times, like these ones, things went off the rails. It always seemed like all the craziest stuff happened at the school that you didn't go to.

This guy went on a game show, which decided to put its contestants through the rounder when it came to confronting their biggest fears. As it turns out, he wasn't completely honest about his biggest fear. He said it was something to do with creepy crawlers, and ended up walking through a room filled with cockroaches.
Alright, that sounds pretty terrifying to me. Regardless, it wasn't his biggest fear. He ends up winning the game show, and with that victory, a car. Sounds like his family was a little split on whether or not that was a genuine victory, or if he's a jerk for lying about his biggest fear. I'm thinking the dude walked through a room of cockroaches and absolutely deserves a car.

Multi-level marketing "companies" are shady businesses that use a pyramid scheme model to rope in desperate people and encourage them to "be their own boss" by hawking stuff like health and beauty supplements to their friends and family over Facebook. The odds that anyone will ever be successful at these is incredibly small, and the companies often pass on the costs to their own "employees," which results in stuff like this guy who reconnected with a high school friend after his dad died so he could sell health supplements.

We're back at it again with a fresh collection of brutal insults that laid utter waste to people acting foolish online. These particular insults are definitely more creative.

There is a lot going on here. The internet is absolutely bursting with so called "nice guys" freaking out at alarmed women that it's a little more rare to see the guy having to escape from dangerous dates. Seriously, there are a lot of disastrous dates with nice guys.

This half-brother got himself written off his father's will, for being a genuinely terrible human being. That's the lowest of the low, man. Stealing from your dad who has Alzheimer's. Sounds like the half-brother really got what was coming to him.

Dr. Phil took to Twitter with a viral video that has him asking all the hard questions about all the strange and incomprehensible modern day lingo. Naturally, Twitter users were beside themselves. Outside of the context for this video, it's even weirder to observe how Dr. Phil's face never really changes. The man very well might be made of Play-Doh.

This guy experienced quite the wakeup call when he realized that he'd been washing his hair incorrectly for over 10 years. What he previously assumed was an unavoidable case of white flakes peppering the barber shop's floor every time he went in for a visit, was actually a symptom of very poor hygiene. Or at least that's how it sounds. Sounds like he proceeded to make sure things were squeaky clean up top, for going forwards. Lesson learned. Better late than never!

Even through all of the tears, self doubt, and eventual skin staining, this couple still managed to do well in the costume contest. All in all, there are worse Halloween costumes. Plus, there are way worse reasons someone can get Shrek'd with green dye.
